On the DHGate jersey you linked - does that have the shoulder designs as well or just the Rose Bowl chest patch? Any pictures of the jersey? Pretty tempting at that price.

Between this and the comment…

Between this and the comment asking this post to be put further down on the board, it's massively disappointing that some people still harbor this sort of attitude towards women's sports.

I may actually be able to…

I may actually be able to help on this. I bought a customized home jersey this year (Hutchinson, 97) and contacted them specifically to request stitched-in numbers and letters since Nike wasn't offering that version of the jersey anymore. Ran me an extra $80 I believe but completely worth it IMO, since I don't buy jerseys often at all and the quality difference between those and the standard numbers/letters is enormous. Since your kid is still growing it may not be worth it to you, but wanted to at least make you aware of the option.

I'm 5'11", 190 pounds, and a large fits me just about perfect. I tend to be between a M and an L in the average t-shirt. More of a contemporary fit, as you say, not nearly as baggy as the Adidas ones.

Bronx - just wanted to drop…

Bronx - just wanted to drop a note of appreciation. I read these every single week like I do the gamer, Monday recap, and UFRs. Part of the routine at this point. Thanks for putting them together.

I mean, I don't even know…

I mean, I don't even know where to start with this post. Local football team uses offensive wrinkle and the element of surprise to convert a 4th down, more news at 11? Lazy box score glancing and cherry picking touch counts in a 52-10 game. Just do better than this, especially the "Donovan needs to get his act together" and speculation that the coaches are losing faith in a player based on a game you didn't even watch.

I would actually argue the…

I would actually argue the title does not say it all - the WRs are Henning, Anthony, and Walker, for anyone curious.

Hey Bronx, just want to say…

Hey Bronx, just want to say I always appreciate these. I have a post-game-weekend ritual of reading the gamer, listening to the podcast, reading the Monday game column, and reading the Best and Worst. Thanks for your part in that.

Good stuff. Love the Monday…

Good stuff. Love the Monday recaps. Also, I believe it's Max Bredeson, not Ben - just want to make sure our guys get proper credit!

Can't imagine Michigan…

Can't imagine Michigan sports fandom without this place, as crazy as it sounds. The weekly in-season podcasts, season preview content, Monday game columns, UFRs, Unverified Voracities... it all comes together to make this community an essential part of following Michigan sports, and Brian is the cornerstone. We all go through some tough times. Just know you're appreciated.

Notes from game one (6-1 W…

Notes from game one (6-1 W over Georgia State):

Alex Storako had 16 Ks. She had an encouraging freshman campaign, ERA around 2.00 and 190 Ks in about 140 IP. If she can build on that this year, M could have two top end pitchers.

Lou Allan had a double and a two-run HR. Would be huge if she could turn into an impact bat - had a lot of hype coming out of HS, but some bad injury luck early in her career.

Haley Hoogenraad had a single and two doubles - really nice start to the year. Hoogenraad is a gamer.

Julia Jimenez had a double and made a nice defensive play to cut down a runner. Sounds like she was also robbed of a hard single on a nice play by the ISU pitcher in the second game, too. Impact bats are the biggest question mark for this team, so any offense some newcomers to the lineup can provide is massive.

I'm in favor of leaving it…

I'm in favor of leaving it just because it gets so many people riled up for some weird reason. Easy way to tell who takes things entirely too seriously around here.

take a bunch of Michigan…

take a bunch of Michigan middle and high schoolers to The Game.

That's child abuse.

Yeah, the download won't…

Yeah, the download won't complete on my phone, and Spotify won't even play it. Nor will the player embedded in the post.

At least part of it was a…

At least part of it was a hand/arm issue, I saw him at Mr. Spots prior to the fall open practice with a cast on. Not sure if that was all or if he had multiple nagging issues.

A Michigan football poster…

A Michigan football poster in the Kremlin would be the second weirdest international Michigan football incident in the last 40 years behind the apparent Ahmadinejad fandom.

I had a friend that works…

I had a friend that works for MSU athletics tell me today that one of their players was so hungover from last night he threw up in the dugout during today's game.

That might explain why they're 0-5.

I've been to a lot of…

I've been to a lot of softball fields around the country, and by far, Rutgers is the worst of them all. Go out to your local high school field and that is at least as nice as the complex in Piscataway. Lumps and holes all over the outfield, short porch, the press box is a tailgate tent straight behind home plate, and the "stands" are your typical aluminum bleachers with about 5 rows that you see at any little league park.

There is vehicle parking behind the outfield fence where people literally sit in their truck beds and watch the game, which is nice because if it gets dark, they can turn their headlights on so you can finish the game. Naturally, they have no lights. I was in complete disbelief the first time I saw it - I thought it was a practice field at first and looked around for the actual one. And this is the home field of a team in a P5 conference.

I mean, an academic issue…

I mean, an academic issue that isn't grades and is open to appeal before a conduct board is almost certainly some form of academic misconduct/dishonesty. Those obviously come in different forms of severity, sounds like this may be on the lower end of the spectrum.

Goodness. Hard disagree. It…

Goodness. Hard disagree. It was good, but it wasn't better than even a regular episode of Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad or any one of another half dozen shows.

The post is incorrect, next…

The post is incorrect, next weekend the team is in Chapel Hill (logically). Interestingly enough, though, for the other poster that asked why they couldn't play at FSU or Miami, FSU is not in the challenge, and Miami doesn't have a softball team.

That's about right, I'd say…

That's about right, I'd say. With the lackluster offense last year and questions surrounding the pitching, they've got a lot to show in order to move up. Could easily be a 2-3 weekend with losses to Florida, USF, and Arizona. My prediction is 3-2 - I think they'll take care of USF.

I don't want to be dramatic,…

I don't want to be dramatic, but BTN Plus can eat my ass.

I'm not sure what pointing…

I'm not sure what pointing out that the link says literally the opposite of what he said it does has to do with my Spongebob boxers, but I'm a little concerned that you know I'm wearing them.

Did you read ANY of the…

Did you read ANY of the updates other than the one you cherry picked? He skipped his recruiting today to stay in West Lafayette, and Purdue has called a team meeting, which means there is some news coming. Seems to indicate that he is departing.

Weird comment. I have no idea what this means.

Don't make an idiotic post…

Don't make an idiotic post and then come act like an even bigger idiot when twelve people call you out on being an idiot.

This is a TERRIBLE post…

This is a TERRIBLE post title.

Glanced at the Bucks box…

Glanced at the Bucks box score, doesn't look like DJ Wilson got any run for them tonight. But LeVert led all scorers with 27 in the Pistons-Nets game!

I mean, it sucks, but they…

I mean, it sucks, but they're first and foremost a golf course, which has insane upkeep. It always amazes me that they keep those courses in such good condition with thousands of vehicles parking on them seven Saturdays a year. Also, the course damage doesn't come from the rain, it comes from driving a two-ton pickup with an RV hitched to the back on a sopping wet fairway. Not to mention, would you rather they emailed people on Saturday morning when it turns out the course is too wet to tailgate on instead of letting them know five days in advance? Really not sure what you expect here.

I've heard the same thing…

I've heard the same thing through connections in the AD... staff was being told to prepare for Wisconsin and PSU as night games. I heard this prior to the SMU game a few weeks ago.

Honestly, you can dislike…

Honestly, you can dislike certain players, have negative opinions of certain players, prefer that someone else plays over them, whatever - but if you come on here and actively say you want a student-athlete in good standing out of the program, you should just get straight up banned. Totally uncalled for.

I didn't sign up for a blog where people talk about cars, but you know what I do with the Talking Cars Tuesday threads? I don't click on them.

Offense is going to be a

Offense is going to be a problem all year, I'm afraid. You either have to hit for power or you have to hit for average, and unfortunately not many people are doing either one right now. Beaubien is a major bright spot though!

Anybody know where I can buy

Anybody know where I can buy a print of that photo? Such a great shot.

Yes. That’s saying something

Yes. That’s saying something with the likes of Ritter, Taylor, and Sara Griffin (amongst others), but Beaubien has the tools already and she’s two weeks into her college career. I’ve seen a lot of college pitchers and Beaubien is a great one.

Not exactly confirmed, but

Not exactly confirmed, but last I knew it was long term. I don’t think she’d have played much at all even without the injury though.

I'd be very surprised if you

I'd be very surprised if you see her at all this year.

UM has an alternate plan with an OL from the SEC

Greg Little??????

Hawkins was also the returner opposite Crawford on every kickoff, FYI.

And if he doesn't, we riot.

What in the world is going on

What in the world is going on around here? This has to be a joke.

Oh my god, they're here!

Oh my god, they're here! They're here! This is a great day.

Lloyd's last game feels

Lloyd's last game feels accurate. It was time; sad to see him go but sweet to see it be on his own terms with one heck of a win.

I can confirm that she

I can confirm that she occasionally does go by Panda, yes. I am unsure whether or not she hammers though.

Nah, Betsa has been the

Nah, Betsa has been the better pitcher. Rough one today but prior to this she threw 190 pitches in 10 complete innings and held Florida to 2 runs, and tossed a shutout opening day. She also shut down NC State yesterday. And even with the two long balls today (which may have been the result of a blister on her throwing hand), she struck out 11 and would have got the W if the offense hadn't left 15 on base and went 2/14 with RISP.

It's easily Megan Betsa and

It's easily Megan Betsa and it's not even really close. Two time reigning B1G Pitcher of the Year.

Not that Hutch wasn't mad

Not that Hutch wasn't mad with the K, but Falk struck out against a replacement ND pitcher. They went to the pen after they loaded the bases.

Also, 15 LOB, 2/14 with RISP. Can't win games that way.
