Who the hell is Scottie…

Who the hell is Scottie Pippin?

Scottie and Michael share Isiah Thomas.

I always thought the Lions…

I always thought the Lions and Bears had two of the best uniforms in the NFL and the Packers were appropriate...

For Wisconsin.

I don't often root for the Lions but against the Packers ALWAYS!

GO BEARS!

Sadly they said, "Nothing to…

Sadly they said, "Nothing to see here."

As long as he is not part of…

As long as he is not part of a 30-0 run against Michigan on a national stage in the Elite 8 I am good with this.

I am ready to sign on for a 4th Frozen Four it that is the board "expectation".

174 with equipment.

If in a Senior year of…

If in a Senior year of college your 31 year old Western Religions professor coming off a divorce asks you to pick up the course syllabus at her house on a Saturday, allows you to live rent free, cooks for you and encourages you to date.

I heard it could happen even at SIU-Carbondale.

Tuttle as Cade McNamara …

Tuttle as Cade McNamara "light" gets us a shot at 10 wins and a punchers chance in Ohio.

If the QB's look as bad as…

If the QB's look as bad as what I saw in the Ohio spring game then panic.

If only it were as easy as Brian's basketball take where you lock any player in a gym, make him take 500 (3)'s a day and he turns into Caris LaVert.

The most disappointing floor…

The most disappointing floor is 10 years in the league being paid millions to call in plays and Chad Henne your way in the game.

I had no issue at the time…

I had no issue at the time that the BEARS had Tributtsky #1 on their board.  However trading all that they did to move up 1 spot to 3 and pass on Deshaun Watson being there at 4 and keeping the 1st round pick will never make sense to me.

I said this at the time and will forever in hindsight.

BEARS have to go Caleb Williams at 1 but if Washington gave up a first round pick next year and a 2 now to move up for him I would grab that in a heartbeat.

Great Manager and the scourge of many a CUBS fan.

I feel bad for Santa Ono. …

I feel bad for Santa Ono.  Bad enough having to manage what is taking place on campus at this time let alone how to manage Warde and the regents.

Welcome to Michigan and do the right things.

he best way to field a team…

he best way to field a team is a solid mix of a few young ultra-talented players, a few older mid-career guys, and a few grizzled "glue guy" veterans with enough talent to keep up but not so much they're of professional interest.

Pick a sport and follow the recipe.  Considering the self imposed limitations of having to rely on graduate or Freshman transfers this is more crucial at Michigan.  See 2023 Michigan football and John Beilein for references.

You had me until "draconian"…

You had me until "draconian".

Attend a MADD meeting and get back to me on what is and is not draconian please.

Having watched drunks share apps that reveal where law enforcement sets up DUI checkpoints I have zero tolerance and am in full favor of the draconian.

If he would have thrown up…

If he would have thrown up in my car I would ask that he pay for the detailing but I would take him again if asked.

Everyone has a story and this demon runs deep.  Hopefully he sees all the love through the judgement.

However had ZERO chances to "escape".  If anything it was just more fuel to the fire with Disney World or the American Girl Doll "store experience".

Understanding my limited…

Understanding my limited understanding of Michigan hockey I ask to those I consider better informed these questions.

Although we have tossed about the puck/luck/Goalie/Pachinko/Tournament variance can any similarity be drawn to what seems a consistent lack of championship defense and the focus on young high end talent that leaves before coming of age?

Is Michigan Hockey similar to Kentucky Basketball under Calipari in this sense?

Red stayed a few years too long, Pearson did what he did and now that Nuarato is in place do we have any reason to believe things will be different for M Hockey as we move forward?

Of course B2B2B (3) Frozen Fours, B1G Championships and this level of excellence is the envy of almost all but 98 is a long time ago and it seems the results might be more than just bad luck.

Nothing more difficult to…

Nothing more difficult to endure than Kansas fans basking in the afterglow of Conner Stallions and the condemnation of "sign stealing".

Pitino is The Great Satan.

Izzo is on the Rushmore with Dean Smith and Rupp.

Bill Self is more charming and comes off as demure but everything he has done and has been covered up at The Yacht Club and is on tapes during an FBI investigation are actions that are diabolical.

The only thing more…

The only thing more unimaginable than living in Ohio would be marrying the enemy.  My brain would be in such conflict with my heart and then the thought of my children siding with Ohio - just NO!

Big M fan here in KC (His name is Andy) married to the VP of the buckeye alum and watch party group.  Local bar (Fuzzys South) was a dive but owned by a big (literally/figuratively) IOWA man so he drew all the B1G patrons as he would play the fight songs and have volume on (all before everyone had 60" HD TV) his many satellite dishes.

Penn State, Ohio, Florida (not sure how or why), Iowa would each have 25 fans or more rooting for or against (Michigan officially met somewhere else but a good 15 of us would choose Fuzzys on the regular including this poor married bastard) your B1G team.

Food was awful.

Drinks (I do not drink I would order Iced Tea) watered down.

Service awful.

I spent $15 to order a bad cheeseburger and Lipton's on ice.

97 Was great of course but early 2000's and having to endure the Ohio fan club during the horror tested you.  Andy would get blackout drunk and those years seemed like the Michigan stations of Calvary before my eyes.

I will never forget about 10 of us watching the Washington/Brabbs game holding each others hands among all of the booing and jeers from opposing B1G watchers and our pure elation as the bar fell silent when that beautiful bomb of a kick sailed through the uprights.

One of the few times after 97 I saw a smile on Andy's face.

I think someone told me Andy would eventually divorce but not sure.  He stopped showing up at some point and eventually Fuzzys faded (faked a fire and sold) into oblivion.

I watched a price be paid that would be too great for me and thankful for many reasons my wife is a sympathetic to Michigan sports agnostic.

I will be attending the FOX…

I will be attending the FOX broadcast on my HD TV.

Hoping we look better than the Buckeye QB's in the Spring and concerned if everything coming out of the rumor mill in camp on our QB situation is plain to see in the scrimmage.

I do not want to see a banged up Tuttle come out as our Obi-Wan only hope.  Maybe a Portal QB/WR that played together might be swayed to join and be folded into the offense in time.

9-3 and a Playoff appearance seems to be the boards floor of expectation with a 10-2 and a win on the road in Ohio the board median and anything better to exceed.

9-3 or better gets done with healing Tuttle, Orji throws or a Spring Portal QB?

Please talk me into this.

So Chris you are making my…

So Chris you are making my argument for me in that you crowned Tiger at all.

I am not contesting that Tiger brought more into the sport at a time (HD Picture, Social Media, Coverage, etc.) that his play could be seen and enjoyed by all.  However as the relevancy bias would clearly show in hindsight and was the hill many under 40 died on was that what Tiger accomplished before his body betrayed him and his mental state was revealed was that the coronation was too soon.

Golf is played on the longest field in sports...between the ears.  How you handle the game on and off the course is where The Golden Bear remains greatest of all time over the course of a career.

Tiger is the 85 BEARS of Golf being the best to ever play but not the best of all time.

I always have and will…

I always have and will continue to root for The Golden Bear to retain his all time wins at Augusta over Tiger because Woods was crowned all too quickly.

Of course as I take an…

Of course as I take an interest this team has not found its 2024 footing.

However College La Cross is an amazing watch both men's and women's.  Sadly whatever professional version of La Cross I watched with sumo goalie in the nest is terrible.  So here is to a regular top 10 Michigan La Cross team YES please.

You are hardly the minority…

You are hardly the minority it is simply the desire to spend others money is very vocal.  I want to imagine this giant money cannon sitting on billions waiting to be fired at anything and everything from women's hockey facilities to Bryce Underwood.

Anyone questioning the concept of unlimited spending is less then popular on the board.  In the least I would think it prudent to maintain the course and be consistent doing what has been successful.

I do not know the answer but…

I do not know the answer but I hate the question.  All that I have seen and know is what happened at Texas A&M so hard pass on that tactic.  As for playing for Brian Kelly money has to talk and beat me to death to play for that guy.  Until Michigan's recruiting strategy and plan for team development is proven broken you hold the course and do what makes sense.

It very well could be that your best pitch is not enough and the cost of getting Underwood into the fold is too great and this best serves both interests.

Unless the Caitlin Clark…

Unless the Caitlin Clark factor and most recent ratings have factored into NIL and the $ available.  Clark and the "Hoosiers" effect cant be discounted after the villain at LSU was perceived as disrespectful and many wanted to see payback.

It would not surprise me to see television ratings return to former levels or even dip less Caitlin Clark as the top tier programs remain top tier.
