reshp1, aren't you one of the guys complaining that you think some people are rooting for the attendance to drop under 100,000 to make Brandon look bad?
I don't know all these posters' histories, but if you're bashing the OP and saying it's simply a business, then you don't seem to care much about tradition and pride in Michigan football. What if I went to root for State because the product is better and cheaper, or the schedule is more interesting that year? I could say it's just a business decision, it's just ECON101 as one poster said. I'll come back to Michigan when the quality of the product is in line with the cost again, but you'd all rightfully call me a traitor.

Haven't they instituted some sort of "loyalty" program so that if you gave up your tickets, it'd be more expensive to get them back again? I haven't kept up on all the changes. If there is such a program, it's really not so simple as just playing the market.

Spot on. The sports market is not like other markets. True loyalty is real, and it's essentially a monopoly. Apple can't afford to alienate customers because then they'll just go to Samsung. When football fans get alienated, people just grumble. Can't just go root for State now and say "Screw Michigan".

A lot of that could be sheer luck. It trended down every year? They just make the 2006 to 2012 comparison. Why would it take 6 years for that to kick in anyway?

I'll take two if they're not too pricey. What kinda price tag are we looking at? 200,000? I think 200,000.

ACLs suck. Feel like we'll lose almost 2 years of Pipkins being quality because of the time missed last year and being subpar for who knows how much longer. Didn't even get a redshirt in for any of that either.

Yeah really. Wolverine Devotee, in 20 years when someone brings up Denard, are you gonna say, "Who the fuck cares about that guy? We have new players who are good."

There's another Jalen thread. Time to move the hell on instead of bitching about it every few posts, rehashing the same tired complaints.

"hey, how is your wife in bed?"
What? That's a very private affair that intrudes on someone's privacy. The biggest scandal in Michigan sports, in which said "wife" is writing a book and making a documentary about being in bed with you(!!!) is decidedly not private.
|3 days 11 hours ago||Yeah, not sure why Jalen||
Yeah, not sure why Jalen would give the two boilerplate answers given from the Clays considering, ya know, he doesn't have those sentiments. It's the biggest scandal in Michigan history and one of the biggest all-time in college sports. You think he should just be indifferent about it?
|3 days 19 hours ago||Have to agree with everything||
Have to agree with everything Jalen said in that article.
A book and a documentary? Is he really doing this to clear his name? Or try to make a boatload of money? I suppose if the others were involved he'd have to give them a cut.

Obviously Jalen is all for that. It's Webber who doesn't wanna talk to anyone.
|3 days 19 hours ago||Well, we've played 2 bad||
Well, we've played 2 bad teams and an ND team that probably doesn't have a great line besides Sheldon Day, and he got in unblocked because of some communication problems involving Cole (presumably). Obviously he's not terrible, and he's done well so far, but let's see how things go against State. Who do we play that has good DEs?

Why would it be dumb? Pretty sure Oregon does that, and their offense seems OK.

Didn't Carr try it for a few games during one season and it went poorly? I'm not at all saying it's a bad idea; I really wish Hoke would do it. I just thought I remember some punts getting blocked or the punter running to the side and shanking it out of bounds or the shield getting pushed back into the punter. I guess they didn't practice it enough beforehand. They might have even deployed it after the season had already started.

I haven't been to a Michigan game in a while, and this is sad to hear. So everyone is supposed to chant both words? Is that what the problem was?
If it was changed, I'm not sure who you blame. Don't blame Brandon without knowing that's the case. Before Brandon was there, for a year(?) when I had student tickets, they screwed up the chant too. They made it "Let's Go Blue" chanted by 3 different sections. It was horrible for a couple reasons. First, it's not as loud because now it was 1/3 of the stadium instead of 1/2. And second, it was lame to only shout "Let's!"

"dealing with the move up to the Pac-12"
So the last few years they haven't been that good because they've been too busy unpacking boxes to practice as much as they should? They should have hired the movers who helped Mizzou and Texas A&M to the SEC.
I'm aware our track record against the Pac-12 generally sucks, but I also don't at all buy the fact that we lost to UCLA 14 years ago so that probably means we'll lose to Utah. Utah wasn't even in the Pac-12 at that time. So does that even count? Not sure how this BS theory works so help me out.
You're arguing it's just a reflection that the Pac-12 is better and has been for a long time, but there are plenty more data points than Michigan. Hell, Wisconsin played the most MANBALL of football and I'm pretty sure Alvarez was 2-2 in Rose Bowls. Also, the SEC is even better than the Pac-12 and yet Carr had a great record against them, so your logic fails pretty hard there. Do you think his final win against Florida was because he was calling on the victory spirits from the past or because they decided to finally use all that talent they had on the field and Florida's defense wasn't that good that year?

"It's not like Miami was doing much to scare Michigan...it was Michigan doing it to itself."
I don't get when people think Michigan making some serious mistakes isn't a problem. Just a problem with turning the ball over too much. No big deal. Turnover margin isn't relevant to a team's chances to win.
