All that offense and here are some fascinating numbers:
OM Total Offense 569 yds (Passing 381, Rushing 188)
UM Total Offense 551 yds (Passing 216, Rushing 335)
OM Total O Plays 73 (Passing 32, Rushing 41)
UM Total O Plays 60 (Passing 17, Rushing 43)
OM Time of Possession 24:08
UM Time of Possession 28:09
Is the OM offense fun to watch, yes. They ran more plays and seemed to have lots of explosive plays but at the end of the day both teams ran more than they threw and both teams put up 40+ points.
Speed in space is tempo from what I am gathering from the comments on this post.
I believe the decision came from the school presidents so it is laughable that the AD and football coach can have any say in whether the season is played. This is the same reason that every other conference will most likely be postponed as well. If it were up to AD's, coaches and players this would not even be a question. The reality is that the presidents of all of these universities have a bigger picture to worry about than what the athletic department wants as well as the authority to make that decision.
So let’s leave out two important factors in both the ND game and the NW game. Road games at late afternoon/night when both opponents had multiple weeks to game plan for our defense. Both games resulted in 2 quick tds after which Don Brown made adjustments and essentially shut down the opposition for the final three quarters. ND is still undefeated and NW is still going to win 9 games this year. Are there issues? Absolutely, however a big comeback win in one and almost in another as we are breaking in a new qb to a complex pro style offense on the road at night to a top 8 team... give these guys some credit, the sky is not falling.
There has to be a better way of identifying the talent based off if offers. The coaches offer the kids that they have seen and scouted, fit a role in their team and are talented. If someone could come up with some sort of algorithm that identifies who has offered a kid and how many offers they have, dump it into an formula and see where the kid falls in a 5 point scale, you would have a bit more of a relaible metric. Someone like this George Johnson III May very well end up being much higher rated due to him outstanding offer sheet which does not seem to equate to his star status.
Gets not one (Jordan), not two (Shaq) but three (Kobe) generational talents To "coach" and parlays it into nine Championships. Goes to NY where he actually has to coach and cant win 50 games. Decides to try the GM thing and screws that up too.
His idea of coaching was to give players books and to meditate... he was given the keys to the kingdom and did not get in the way, so I guess there is something to be said for that.
My daughter is a High School athlete that is not allowed to go on Spring Break because the track team has meets during the week of spring break. Same can be said for any other HS student athlete in any sport regardless of the season. When I was in HS we could not go anywhere for the Christmas holidays due to the basketball tournament and prcatices we had over christmas break.
This BS of taking athletes away from spring break is nothing new to them, it has been going on since their freshman years of HS. By having practie over spring break in floida is a huge perk to these kids, not a drain on their free time... they never had it to begin with.
In addition how is this different than all of the"student athletes" that miss their christmas breaks having bowl practices and then bowl games?
You might want to flip the schools, as it is typical that the home team is listed second. The way it is presented right now it looks like it is M @ ND.

The hypocrisy from these idiots is laughable.
by naming him the next coach of the Pistons. Can you imagine Isiah being the next GM and Izzo as the next coach... thank god the did not draft Burke!
I am pretty sure any support of the Pistons from this board will cease to exist.
What he has accomplished in the pool is simply Amazing.
He is the most decorated Olympian of all time, with a total of 22 medals
I know it was a while back but he was supposed to be another great #1... never lived up to the number.
Drew Hnson and Matt Guiterrez were also very talented kids that never quite lived up to expectations.
This does not mean he offers four to everyone... I am guessing it is only for 5* kids that will probably not make it to a fourth year anyhow.
