And who is going to lead us into paying a truckload? That was why Brandon was originally a breath of fresh air to many--willingness to pay. Or we can return to no marketing, etc., and not have the resources to pay a truckload.
Who did Ross back?

Or maybe LSU is a nice place to coach. Maybe the NFL is a nice place to coach. Or blame it all on Lloyd/Brandon. Go sign the fire Brandon petition, as it is clearly his fault we don't have Harbaugh/Miles. LOL. Delusional.

The OP is probably one of the multitude of people who signed the fire Brandon petition because he/she thinks Brandon is responsible for not getting Harbaugh/Miles. I hope the OP knows that we will have a much smaller chance of getting a coach like Harbaugh when Brandon is gone, as Brandon has demonstrated willingness to pay (see Coordinator salaries) for top talent that other ADs in the past have not. Do the Regents/Schissel want to go the Brandon way of paying top dollar, or do they want to return to the past (as well as the past with keeping ticket prices low) of paying very little for coaching talent?

He struggled to win against a known cheater at OSU. He struggled against a known cheater at USC. You're right, it is what it is. Carr doesn't get the respect he deserves because he couldn't beat a cheater.
If you want to be counted among the best at Michigan, I'd say a National Championship, multiple Big Ten Championships, a Heisman Tropny winner, and no NCAA mess ups should count as among the best. I'm not saying it's 100% fair to say a coach is one of the best at Michigan because he did all of those things, but it is what it is. Again, I'm not saying its 100% fair, but it is what it is.

How did Carr do against the OSU coach who wasn't caught cheating?
Define recruiting that isn't worth a darn. How many of Carr's players were on the Sugar Bowl team? Yeah, Mallet was a really bad player.
Oversaw the talent gap between us and State close? How many times did Carr beat State? Somehow you equate a continued beatdown of Sparty with a close in talent gap.
How many national championships did Carr acquire for the University of Michigan? How many Big Ten Championships? How many Heisman winners?
You, my friend, are a clown.

LOL, what? Here is a good rule of thumb for you, bro: if a statement is ambiguous as to whether or not it is racist, construe it so it is not. This isn't 1960. Nor is this an SEC board. This is a board of one of the most liberal universities in the USA. Try to give a fellow fan some credit, even if you disagree with his position.

LOL at everyone here who thinks Gardner is default starter. Devin is a great person. Devin has great personality. Devin has great intellect. Devin has great running ability.
Devin, regardless of injured foot, has poor accuracy. Devin, regardless of intellect, has poor decision making skills on football field. Devin, regardless of personality, has not shown any leadership in the locker room.
Devin is not in Borges' offense anymore. Nuss wants the QB to run even less. Don't be surprised if they decide to go with a more accurate QB who makes better football decisions, especially when this is a must win year for Hoke.

This, IMO, leaps off the page:
"For example, the [Borges] offense involved six primary run schemes: power, iso, draw, horn (a tackle lead play), inside zone, and outside zone. It's worth noting here, just for comparison, that NFL run-game guru Alex Gibbs believes that a ground attack should be built almost entirely on just inside and outside zone."

You know times are changing when someone makes a post about our QB who has lost two straight years to OSU is going to go down in history as one of the best Mchigan QBs of all time.
I honestly don't think many people on this board remember what it is like to actually win games. We lost today. We have lost 9 of the past 11 years to OSU. Stop acting like we won, it's depressing.
OSU has won, and not just today. They have beaten wolverines to the point where we consider a 1 point loss a victory. To the point where we hail a quarterback who lead us to a 7-5 season, 8th in the big ten.
Devin has outstanding character. He is a bright young man. He is not one of the all time great MIchigan QBs.
|48 weeks 6 days ago||I disagree. I also saw a lot||
I disagree. I also saw a lot of interfering that was not called that game. From what I gleaned, MSU"s DB's are very skilled at interfering in manenrs that are difficult for the officials to see. They seem to know where the officials are on the field, etc. They also use their bodies to push a lot when the ball is in the air and try to act like they were just looking for the ball (incidental contact), when they clearly knew where the ND receiver was.
|48 weeks 6 days ago||This is a fair post.||
This is a fair post. Narduzzi's (Dantonio's under Tressel really) strategy has always been to play ultra aggressive with his DB's, and expect that not every penalty will be called. If you think about it, a ref is not going to throw a flag every single play. Therefore, if you interfere on every single passing play (like they did against ND), the ref is only going to call some percentage of those interferences penalties. This then allows you to stack the box without worrying about getting beat deep. Great strategy if you ask me.
