I learned how…

Go for it!!

I learned how to ski with my youngest at 42.  This year at 46, I've finally mastered. (with the help of advice from my 10 year old.)

The old saying is: "Skiing is easier to pickup but harder to master, snowboarding is more difficult initially but easier thereafter."

I'm certain I butchered the saying but it's true.  Whatever you do--have fun!  Enjoy the time with your buddies and enjoy apres skiing! It's also helpful to take a halftime break at a mid mountain lodge for lunch and beer and then get back out there!

The best way to get better at skiing/snowboarding is to ski/snowboard!

Total guess here but maybe Frank Gore Jr. as a grad transfer next year.

Correct.  Logged in to give…

Correct.  Logged in to give affirmation to original E. William location.

I was one of their first customers the day they opened.

1996 I believe but could have been 1997.

That bagel place on eastern portion of South U lives in memory.  Bagel Factory or something?

Time flies.

Guessing but with recent resp illness, good health and travel hx: sounds like a PE.

"It is exactly who he is as…

"It is exactly who he is as a man and coach. He is 100% behind his players."

This is JH. It's so frustrating that his honesty isn't taken with the straightforwardness and truthfulness of which his statements clearly indicate.  When has JH ever gone back on his word?  THAT should be a discussion--if there is any evidence of such---we'd all be surprised.

Spoiler--there is no such evidence.

Take a honest man at his word.

He's our ball coach!

Firstnet for those that…

Firstnet for those that qualify is top notch.  Sub of At&T. Unlimited data plans and priority service, (Think Mich Stadium)....but only for first responders/emergency folks unfortunately.

Those two games were not…

Those two games were not comparable.

Coldest I've ever been. …

Coldest I've ever been.  Rain turned to sleet then snow as day went on. Few made it to second half.

Adding to the gameday experience was the ceiling at Blimpy Burger collapsing due to rain/sleet mix. None in line were offered anything.  The lady that cooked the burgers yelled at folks for not shouting out their order quicker.

Gold.  XM.  Gold.  I often…

Gold.  XM.  Gold.  I often read threads (after the kids are asleep) for your comments.  Never disappointed!

For all seriousness, my team is involved in gymnastics for body control/awareness.  Not sure where it's going (I promote legos more than athleticism) but the oldest at 4 has won 200 meter and 400 meter races.

Probably a neuro optho…

Probably a neuro optho though not essential.

This is great advice—though…

This is great advice—though most patients roll their eyes when they hear this.  Can’t be afraid of a tight space if you can’t see it.  Stay mentally focused and keep those eyes shut even before entering the mri suite.

Great plan.

 (I guess I’ll…

Great plan.

(I guess I’ll pass this along—not having surgery has affected my ability to get disability insurance though for me the tumor was pretty much gone after the apoplectic event so no decision was there to be made)

God bless you and you family!

Pituitary apoplexy. Not too…

Pituitary apoplexy. Not too common.

I had this too in my early twenties.

Headache will be there as long as you have blood on your scans.

I did not have surgery.  It depends on how much of the tumor persists after infarction. If no surgery, you’ll have an occasional MRI every few years to r/o recurrence.

The greater issue is how much endocrine function you have lost.  The hormones are lost in the order of GH, then LH, FSH, TSH, and then ACTH (ant. Pit.)

There are a lot of options to replace hormones, including FSH/LH if needed fir fertility.  It’s an interesting go.

I should probably also add that I’m a doc for credibility reasons only.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

Absolutely heartbreaking.

God bless the Carr family.

Having been to near heaven and back with my son, there is nothing to console.  Time doesn't heal that wound and the only way one can mediate the greatest loss in life is to celebrate the moments shared. Honor and move forward with a purpose and a motor driven by the love from life lost.

I've had this surgery on

I've had this surgery on bilateral hips and am a physician.

I won't get into specifics about his case due to lack of first hand knowledge but the injury is very clear (reading the tea leaves with a knowledgeable lens) and won't get better w/ any rehab.  Long term damage results to hip joint itself and it's not just playing through pain--but also a weakness issue when the joint is inflammed enough.

Interested parties could probably deduce the injury by researching A-Rod, Ed Reed among others.

It's a tough road back.  Symptoms are variable but judging by his activity limitation thorughout the season he's not in a non-surgery option group.  What a competitor.

Again, without knowing his specifics, he should probably take a redshirt and get both hips done.  I spearated these surgeries out by a year.  Early surgery limits further long term damage, advice I should have taken but this is a newer diagnosis and an even newer surgical corrective field from a laparscopic approach.

That's all I say about this issue but good luck Spike.  With admiration, Go Blue.

Interesting.

Drake was a

Interesting.

Drake was a big State lean among locals.

Things may have developed.

Ran into JB and recruits at rain break during WMU-UM game and JB/Drake were side by side.

Interesting.

This is likely a MRSA

This is likely a MRSA abscess.  Pretty common... acquired during game play from artifical turf.  Treatment is drainage and abx.   This did not inhibit his preformance.  Not a big deal. I feel bad for Denard b/c this won't be his last.

(I'm medically qualified to know this.  I've been a reader of this site since near inception and cringe at the medical misinterpretation of commentors on this site.)
