4 weeks 1 day ago	Breaking down his candidacy....	- A good percentage of the state won't vote for a Republican. - A good percentage of Republican/undecided voters are Michigan State fans, who won't vote for him. - A good percentage of his natural demographic (Michigan fans) won't vote for him, for whatever reason, political or personal. - The easiest parallel to make with Brandon (Ann Arbor businessman, relatively uncontroversial public persona, viewed as politically neutral) is Rick Snyder, who currently has sub-40% popularity levels, and who ran a neutral campaign that veered vastly right-wing after two years.  Everything negative about Snyder will be attached to Brandon. I don't think Brandon will run.  It's a bad race for him to run in, sources tell me he prefers being an exec to being "1 of 100", and I don't see a path to victory for him. If he does run, I think it will be a mistake in the long run.
6 weeks 5 days ago	R U B	There's one of these just down the road from Comerica Park.  I was in there a couple times in 2012, it was a solid establishment. However, I don't think they served subs, so I can't vouch for if this event will be crazy.
7 weeks 4 days ago	My choices...	Football - Woodson (with Rose Bowl shoulder graphic), Brady, Howard, Ford, Denard (with name on back!), Anthony Carter tearaway. Basketball - Trey Burke...with his name on the back, and properly sewn letters and numbers. And Fab Five, of course. Hockey - Brendan Morrison (as listed above), Red Berenson (white with MICHIGAN across front like current whites), Carl Hagelin (either regular maize from that era, or Big Chill).  Got all of the others that I need.  haha

11 weeks 4 days ago	All I can say on this is...	....I wouldn't be surprised if it were true, and I wouldn't be surprised if it were false. There's a strong case made for both outcomes. At the end of the day, we've got the right guy, and that's all that really matters.  And, that whatever Les Miles did or didn't do isn't worse than what Joe Paterno did.

14 weeks 5 days ago	I'm a die-hard Michigan fan	I'm a die-hard Michigan fan too, but don't have the basketball knowledge and history because I'm a hockey guy.  There's a segment of the Michigan fanbase that doesn't follow basketball until the Big Ten season starts up, or something like that.  There's also a segment that doesn't care about hockey unless it's MSU week or a tournament, and that's alright too. This whole hockey debacle is really casting a pall over enjoying this basketball season, for me.  Just a year with a lot of feelings.
14 weeks 5 days ago	No.	On one hand, Sparty can be a useful tool in beating Ohio State or other bigger rivals.  (For years, Michigan would beat Notre Dame and give Sparty a chance to knock out the Irish, and Sparty would blow it.) On the other hand, three years of having bandwagon Sparty fans call our QB reprehensible racial slurs does get old. ---- And, speaking as someone who goes to a lot of Michigan games, watching a game in East Lansing is somewhat bizarre.  Way more drunkenness, far more profanities, and stuff that must have seemed cool in 1995.  (Despite all the renovations to their facilities, their Jock Jams, Volume 3 CD managed to stick around.)  Just a weird timewarp of a place.
