Never again will I bother Heiko with the conundrum, "why bad plays happen to good people" |
| 4 days 8 hours ago | Jim Smith was from Blue |
Jim Smith was from Blue Island, Illinois, at least that's what Bob Ufer always told me. Jim Smith was a fantastic football player, but was somewhat obscured because he was followed by Anthony Carter. |

I think Verlander either has a sore shoulder or his mechanics are screwed up. It looked to me as if Verlanders motion was different, like he was shot putting, or lunging, or doing something out of his ordinary delivery. |

David Brandon is behind this, he is trying to increase the Michigan brand and coerced Speight to go to these camps, wear Michigan gear, and help recruit future Wolverines |

You just need to get back to Michigan and let Hoke and Wellman work on your genetics, then you'll see! |

Hoke continues to recruit giants. Ferns and Ways are the two shortest commits as of now and each stands 6'3" |

Time to scrap the winged helmet and get a helmet with a wolverine on it. Now that would be boss! |

Here is an interesting article detailing Jeremy Gallon's struggles with academics both in high school and college and his perseverance overcoming them. |

I wonder if expectations Hoke puts on seniors, were a burden Marvin Robinson and Mike Jones were unwilling to embrace. |
| 1 week 5 days ago | Rivals list McDowell as |
Rivals list McDowell as 6'6'', the same height as Alan Branch, and Alan Branch was a pretty good defensive tackle for Michigan. |
| 1 week 5 days ago | I would like to see a list of |
I would like to see a list of New Jersey's top 200 m times. Butch Woolfolk name is probably on the list and he was in HS in the late 70's. Woolfolk had the fastest 100 m and 200 m times in the nation as a high school senior in 1978 |

You are mistaken and may want to re-think your position. True, Diamond and Bryant attended Chicago Simeon, but Standifer attended (sp) Crete Monlee, along with Treadwell. |

At the very least, Michigan owes Chris Webber a couple pieces of chicken and a soda. |

I don't think this has anything to do with a medical condition. Ringer played in the spring game, and played well, making several big hits. |

Dude, sincerely, if you hadn't made this post, the Tigers would have lost the game. You saved the game singlepostedly!!!!! |
| 2 weeks 6 days ago | In a positive way, this |
In a positive way, this season could be huge transition years for both the offense and the defense. Offensively , of course, Al Borges will finally begin to implement his West Coast offense that was so fun to watch at San Diego State. |
| 2 weeks 6 days ago | Is Bellomy's timeline similar |
Is Bellomy's timeline similar to Ryan's? It would be huge to have Bellomy back by mid October to help facilitate Shane Morris' redshirt. I haven't seen anything on Bellomy's prognosis. |

David Shaw should have prefaced his comment with, "this is going to sound arrogant", and we all would have loved it. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Here's the skinny from |
Here's the skinny from Mgoblue: "father, Joe, played linebacker at Notre Dame (1981-84), while uncle, Mike, played football and hockey at Notre Dame... is brother of Penn State junior/sophomore defensive end Brad Bars ... grandparents attended Michigan, while grandfather, Douglas Eggleston, played football at U-M." http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/mtt/blake_bars_810565.html Another interesting angle is the family lived in Michigan until 2003. Here is a snippet from a Tom VH Mgoblog interview with Blake Bars back in June of 2011: TOM: Ok, and to talk more specifically about Michigan how familiar are you with the program? BLAKE: We lived in Trenton [Michigan] for around 12 years. I went to a Lloyd Carr camp in Wyandotte once, but I can't really tell you much more than that, I was pretty young. We did go up to Michigan last year and took a brief visit. We have relatives in Ann Arbor and we wanted to look around the stadium. We're excited to go back up and meet the coaches and go on a tour. TOM: Does Michigan have any advantage with all this since you have family there and you've lived there before? BLAKE: I think my Aunt who lives in Ann Arbor is a pretty good recruiter. She always says that if I come to Michigan she'll have special things for me. She'll bake me cookies and cook for me. I like the fact that my family is there, and my mom's uncle actually played for Michigan, but I'm not sure how much it will factor in. |
