| 1 week 2 days ago | I've worked in orthopedics |
I've worked in orthopedics for 8 years and do my best to treat most problems conservatively. This is one where I feel surgery is the best option. Minimal risk, quick recovery, predictable outcomes. You can try anti-inflammatories and/or injection but these probably work 10% of the time. Best of luck! |

Thank you for sharing your story. God bless your son, your family and all the wishes for a healthy young Wolverine!! |
| 21 weeks 3 days ago | I lost my dog and best friend |
I lost my dog and best friend back in February after a post op infection became very bad. We were pals for 11 years. I will keep you and wife and dog in my thoughts tonight. Best of luck! |
| 25 weeks 6 days ago | I will continue to support |
I will continue to support Michigan football. I will watch every week, cheer enthusiastically, rejoice with wins and feel bummed after a loss. And after the loss, I'll look forward to next week. It's what I am. A Michigan alum, Michigan fan. |

Spoken like someone who understands the spirit of college athletics. Nice job out of you. |
| 27 weeks 2 days ago | Nice comments from RR |
Give RR some credit for being classy here. This isn't article about Michigan or his thoughts on the program, but its about his thoughts on a charismatic young man and terrifc athlete we have all had the pleasure watching over the last couple years. There probably is great respect both ways. |

He came back after a few plays. They were just doing direct snap to whoever they put in. |

| 29 weeks 4 days ago | Tough to treat |
I am former athletic trainer who used to work college football for 5 years. There isn't much to do other than keep asking the athlete if they're ready. Treating this type of problem on the sidelines is difficult. There isn't a quick fix. An injection can help but usually these are done with ultrasound guidance so as to take extreme care around the nerve. The nerve innervates the small muscles between the bones in the hand so this injury greatly affects grip. Unfortunately time is the best healer here and hopefully Denard is ready this weekend. |
| 30 weeks 2 days ago | 1995 UM vs UVA |
After the dramatic win in the Pigskin Classic in '95, the students made attempts to rush the field. If I remember correctly, the police were a little harsh in their tatics to keep them off the field. Some even got arrested....a friend's brother had to go to court for it and pay a fine. They (the police and the Univeristy) received a lot of backlash from the Daily. Call it a PseudoRush. |

Denard wasn't set to be a return man. He was in a position to block. Same as Wheatley. I concede if he were to return, could add a different look. But don't ask him to do something he isn't accustomed or built to do. |
| 30 weeks 5 days ago | Not a good idea |
If Denard were to get injured (fingers crossed) on a typical offense play...... Well, that is football. But on special teams? That's just poor decision making. I remember Tyrone Wheatley being injured on punt return. Hurt his shoulder & wasn't the same the rest of the year. |

I respect your right to voice an opinion but it's a deuchy one at best. |
| 34 weeks 6 days ago | You sir.... |
Are a d-bag. Yes Denard was awful tonight. But geez give the young man some credit. He has won multiple games for Michigan. He stayed when he could have left. He has been an exemplary UM student athlete. Lighten up. |

It was a loss!! One loss!! Our program isn't going to be removed from the big 10, the stadium isn't being closed and guess what..... The sun still came up today over the Eastern sky. |

Thank you. Someone with hope. We won't be playing anyone else near the caliber of talent the rest of the year. |

Alabama is a great team. Give them credit. Still think UM has great things ahead. In the words of Rick Flair "if want to be the man, you got to beat the man.". We're not going to beat them if we don't schedule them. |

We called 'em "shitty freebies" but I always grabbed one and went straight to the back to read Punt/CounterPunt! |

Need something to calm me down. Will get occupied with beginning the BBQ at 7 am and smoking a nice pork shoulder for about 10-12 hrs. Popping open an Oberon to say goodbye to summer and hello Big Ten Ttile! |

BB I think is the 'official' bar of the alumni association. I have been a few times and it's always a good turnout. A few years ago it was the Pour House. You may want to check the alumni association website to be certain. Sorry I don't have a link. |

When I use tune in, sometimes it just plays commercials nonstop. Doesn't happen with other stations I listen to. |

Can you just imagine the unity felt by the team following that? Its one thing to be unified to win a Cup but that was the signature moment that put that team over the top. I had no idea it was Larinov involved n the beginning? Glad to see D-Mac stick it to the Turtle! |

I tended to favor size and defense. Ended up with Kansas, 'Cuse, UK and Louisville with Kansas winning over Kentucky. |
| 1 year 15 weeks ago | As an undergrad I worked with |
As an undergrad I worked with UM hockey one full year. In one game against MSU Richard Keys ran Marty Turco behind the net. It was a malicious hit and totally uncalled for that nearly put Tuco out. Next game against Sparty in in the locker room pregame Red reminded the team of the hit and called out Keys. He told the guys if they got a chance for a hit, take it and make it count. And didn't mind if they got a penalty. Although he didn't want it dirty, but more in the flow of the game. Couldn't have been more than 5 min in and Jason Botterill went at with Keys and laid his ass out! So yeah Red will call it out, but only if provoked and not for a cheap shot. |
