The athletic department has plenty of money to pay for the buyout, we don't need to give them any more. Even if we did raise the money, it's not like they listen to a word we say; they do whatever they want.
Why do you guys call yourseslves ohio then? Ohio Stadium. O-H-I-O chant. Your band dots the i in Ohio not ohio state..... So until you guys start calling yourselves ohio state, how bout you lay off.
Yes I said silly. It's silly and in a way embarrasing. The University of Michigan, leaders and best, Public Ivy, Athletic Powerhouse, B1G Powerhouse, NCAA's all time leader in wins and winning percentage, multi million dollar athletic program...cannot afford to send their marching band to one of the biggest out of conference games of the year? Dumb. Yes that was a run on but it was needed.
But what if its the exact opposite, the game gets a rating boost because the controversy surrounding the game. So MORE people tune in to see how OSU handles the conflict and how the game pans out.....you never know, the American public loves controversy.
How does the NCAA even pick regional sites as they seem to be pretty obscure most of the time?
For instance, St. Louis? To my knowledge theres not too many big college hockey programs in the St. Louis area, and to boot, the CCHA is hosting this regional. Wouldn't it make more sense to host it at the Joe, or even where the Blue Jackets play? Heck even in Toledo where the Walleye play could be a better place.
Well shucks. If I remember correctly last year, we were not technically supposed to go to Fort Wayne, but they put us there for attendance? Heck, I might be making that up but I thought I heard that.
My vote is for St. Louis, seems like a cool town to visit, probably decent bars, and we would yes as you said, probably avoid those hockey crazed eastern colleges (ala BC) in their backyard. Granted, I've only seen Michigan, and the teams the've played,so I really dont know how Michigan would match up.
What are the chances that even if the standings were to finish like this, we'd get put in the St. Louis or Green Bay region? Those places would be a hell of a better drive than the 13 hour drive to the east coast.
I want to go so bad to regionals, road trips are a ton of fun especially when you have a hockey team to cheer for. Except the tickets are always so damn expensive. Does anyone know if they have any deals for students or is it just straight priced?
Can we have that freshman RB Hillman? WOW! He is pretty special. I just hope one of our plutheroa of backs develops into something like that. Oh wait, we have Denard, he can run and throw AND his helmet has wings!
But in all seriousness, that RB was good and it'd be nice to establish a back like that here at UM.
Throughout this whole speculation of Harbaugh coming to Michigan, has anyone in the media publically asked him his interest in the job. I haven't seen any but I'm curious to see if anyone on this board knows of any such incidents. Yes I know RR is still the coach, but the media can be ruthless and love speculation. So.....has anyone seen such a question?
It's not cool! Literally how many times can you cover one school in half of a season? We get it. Alabama is good. But seriously ESPN try being a little more unbiased. When was the last time Gameday even visited Ann Arbor?
Hahahaha so was I. I hate loving football (Green Bay and Michigan) so much because when they lose (and lose stupidly to boot) its such a downer on the rest of my night/day. After that game I was honestly so mad, and over a football game! But hell, I guess the best we can all do is embrace our love for our teams and hope to God they dont lose. Because when they do......IT SUCKS!
-Punting to Hester- sure he hasnt been himself lately...still stupid
-Challenging stupid plays. He always does it and its very frusterating. Wasted a timeout that they needed at the end there.
-And i could be wrong on this one....but why not let them score at the end? I was screaming at the television for them to do it and give Rodgers a minute plus to march down the field. Its better than leaving an extra point for one of the best kickers in the game to win it.
Does that win make you guys think that Chicago is the team to beat in the NFC North......or are the Pack still the team to beat. Personally, I still am a believer in GB.
1) I dislike MSU students more than OSU students because for one, I know a lot more state students. Also, they have such an inferiority complex that they feel like they HAVE to lash out every time they beat us in anything. OSU students, for the most part, know we are a respectable institution and program.
For example, everytime I get into an argument about whose football program is better, one of my state buddies pulls this argument: "Who has more national championships since 1965"..... I know, by far, the DUMBEST argument I have ever heard.
2) I dislike OSU non-student fans more than MSU non-student fans. Mainly because most of them are pretty classless, and will try to do anything to make you feel like crap. Just watch what some of those rednecks do to cars with Michigan decals on them.
I think the Red Wings should sign Mathew Lombardi which would add some more speed to that lineup. And as mentioned above, they need a big guy who can scrap it up since both Bertuzzi and Holmstrom are unrestricted free agents.
I'm sorry if it seems like I'm just complaining but I cannot stand this announcer. When the wings get a soft penalty no big deal but now all he is talking about is the "apparent" boarding. Come on man, YOU ARE TERRIBLE.
You are looking WAY to deep into these stats. Sometimes you just have to watch a player play the game and you can get a feel for how good he will be. Granted, Jackson stats will probably decline throughout the season but in his FIRST month in the big leagues he looks pretty damn good to me.
Also, this stuff about his defense being bad? No way. Every game I have watched him in shows Jackson covering tons of ground out there and getting to almost every ball.
So moral of the story, dont look to far into these half a run per year stats and trust your own judgement a little more.

I hope ND's "we're too good for a conference" attitude and lack of a conference championship bites them in the ass.
Maybe a 1 loss ND getting left out of the playoff over a 2 loss Michigan finally forces them to conform to the new college football.

Remember Saturday was Hash Bash so there was A LOT of people who aren't Michigan students on campus. Just food for thought.

I would play. for sure.
Hopefully we can make a strong showing in the CCHA playoffs and lock up a one seed and a spot in the St. Louis regionals.....
= cheapest tickets
= best city? maybe
=closer than the east coast!

Throwing coffee at your professor might not have been the smartest thing to do.
In fact, that might be on the top 10 things NOT to do while in college.
Is it just me or does he kind of look like RR in that picture. I saw it at first and had to do a double take.
I heard that Rich Rod was coming back to Michigan for another year...
HOWEVER
not to coach, but to play safety or even linebacker!

Can someone post the link to Brandon's plane?
Hamr65
- Jennifer Hammond
If Miles is on that plane...he's in for a rude awakening with a cold blast of air.
But then again. I know nothing.

"it's a wonderful place"
Dandy Don says......
1. Jim Harbaugh
2. Bo Pelini
3. Gruden
4. Jon Harbaugh
5. Paterson
6. Les Miles
7. Tom Brady
8. Mary Sue Coleman
Earlier someone posted this link in one of the threads:
http://flightaware.com/live/flight/N469RJ
Is this actually Michigan's plane? and if so what in the world are they doing in Tampa?
If Harbaugh does in fact deny Michigan (sad face), would Les Miles be a better fit than Brady Hoke? Do you think he even has any interest in the job?
Throughout this whole speculation of Harbaugh coming to Michigan, has anyone in the media publically asked him his interest in the job. I haven't seen any but I'm curious to see if anyone on this board knows of any such incidents. Yes I know RR is still the coach, but the media can be ruthless and love speculation. I may be wrong on this, but isn't the big game at the big house reffering to the Big Chill. Which is hockey, not football.
And yes, that is a big game, because it is the largest crowd to ever watch a hockey game!
Do some research kid.
But I could be wrong. They could have indeed made big game at the big house shirts recently that I have yet to see.
So someone help me out here.....
It's not cool! Literally how many times can you cover one school in half of a season? We get it. Alabama is good. But seriously ESPN try being a little more unbiased. When was the last time Gameday even visited Ann Arbor?
And we all know Adidas clothing is WAY oversized so it should fit perfectly!
Hahahaha so was I. I hate loving football (Green Bay and Michigan) so much because when they lose (and lose stupidly to boot) its such a downer on the rest of my night/day. He coached an awful game.
-Punting to Hester- sure he hasnt been himself lately...still stupid

Are we couting Adam Schefter as pretty credible? I do because he is a UofM alum. Plus, in my opinion, he does some pretty good reporting.
But other than that, I can't think of anyone else.

I've probably watched this video 50 times since the game happened and during the offseason! I figured we could ALL watch it again and be HAPPY!
Edit: Damnit I messed up. I dont know what I did. =(
Yes with the two tired or too tired whatever floats your boat.....and props to the practicing too much..... Posbangs for both!
Why couldnt the bicycle stand on its own?
Heres how the hate breaks down:
1) I dislike MSU students more than OSU students because for one, I know a lot more state students. Any other thoughts?

These announcers, or at least the side commentary, is so pro San Jose it is sick. Plus, the guy just said a goal was "sassy." Sassy? come on
