Coaches' timeouts are worse. Basketball teams should get one, full stop.

At some point you can't stay atop the mountain any longer. When your slid starts you can't stop it. Izzo's act is getting old and after this year is over what will he do. This was his best team in years. Next year will be horrible for him. He can't rebuild after losing Paine and Harris like Michigan did after losing Burke and Hardaway. Izzo will self implode next year. Can't wait to watch it. He is not as classy as people say because he hasn't suffered in years until this year and look how he acted. Like I said, his act is getting old.

I'll cut it short. She said. He said. No evidence. Unwilling victim. A preponderance of evidence of 51 percent. Gibbons found responsible. Letter to Gibbons to expel. Over. FERPA guidelines adhered to. But there are still people who think it's their business. NOT.

of this great university. It's an absolute joke to name a football coach anything but a football coach. Keep your stupid money. You've got enough of mine to cover expenses without me wanting my name plastered all over everything. Who sits around and thinks this stuff up. I can't wait for the first broadcaster to use this title when talking about Hoke and thus making Michigan the laughing stock of college football. It's bad enough to do this if we were 11-2 but after what we've endured the last few years this is pitiful. One step closer to having advertising in the stadium. Maybe the Michigan GoBlue Club banner will have names on it after this. I can't believe I'm reading this. Someone at the University has to say no to the money bags regardless of their requests or get Brandon under control if this was his idea. Either way this is a joke.

Is still in school. He should have been expelled thus his worries about what college he is going to attend would be a moot point. I believe in second chances but that assault was really bad.

Is just standing around falls on the coaching staff. The wings are just standing around and no one is moving. No pressure on the defense. No attempts to get to the rack. Five missed put backs at the rim. Against so so teams might work but good teams have figured out how to defend Michigan. Keep pushing the guards outside the three point line and keep some pressure on the wings and Michigan has to settle for long threes late in the shot clock. Not good.
|4 weeks 6 days ago||After reading some posts about recruiting||
It is evident that either the Big Ten must change or the NCAA must mandate that all recruiting be done on equal ground. Until the Big Ten changes from honoring a four year scholarship to renewing scholarships on a yearly basis the Big Ten and Michigan will be in the "also ran" class of college football. So there are some difficult choices ahead for everyone. Be pleased that Michigan honors a four year commitment to a student athlete regardless if he pans out or not or go start doing things the SEC way and start calling kids into the office and start telling them there services are no longer needed and tell him his scholarship is not going to be renewed. Then and only then will the Big Ten and Michigan be able to compete with ten rest of college football. Michigan would never have to sign a mere 16 players again. This class would probably sign between 22 and 26 kids. I'm not advocating this method but I'm tired of not being on equal footing with the other conferences.

For information that is none of their business. No criminal charges so FOIA cannot be filed. FERPA guidelines state no information can be divulged without the students permission. Gibbons would not give permission. So everyone needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves. Should any university violate the law to satisfy the publics curiosity? NO. It's not you fricken business. Get over it. Go stick your nose in your neighbors business and let this thing die. Hoke, Brandon, and everyone else at the university can not discuss it.

Believes they are entitled so the rest of the public also believes they are entitled. I agree with you. People think they deserve to pry into other peoples business because they are coworkers, students at the same university or even season ticket holders. There are laws to protect even suspects, perpetrators, and those accused of acts or crimes. It seems everyone is getting off on other people difficult situation. On top of that. It seems that every time something like this happens people want everyone fired from top to bottom. That's why FERPA, HIPA and other laws of protection aren't spelled FOIA.

Basket interference. God awful refs.

But dismissing someone based upon a "he said - she said" allegation might set the university up for wrongful dismissal lawsuit. I agree with you and I can't wait for the whole (truth) story to come out. There are 4 stories out there. The complainants, the police, the prosecutors office and the university. Let's hope the truth comes out somewhere in there.

A person is innocent until proven guilty. I have dealt with many so called victims that were vague, incoherent about the facts, or just unwilling to pursue complaints for a variety of reasons. If a victim refuses to cooperate there are certain cases where they can be forced to testify. Those instances are rare to say the least. Hostile witnesses and/or complainant/victims are the worst to deal with when on the stand because they jeopardize the case and can even embarrass the prosecution. Needless to say this case leads me to believe the complainant was not willing to cooperate with police or possibly prosecutors who interview victims involving sexual assault.

And we won. Three wins against current Top 10 teams in 7 days = #11 ranking. But it could all go south in another week. Tough conference.
|6 weeks 4 days ago||I think Jalen Rose was a great player||
And his donations to create the The Rose Garden are wonderful. But all this talk about honoring the Fab 5 over and over is disgusting to say the least. Webber owes the University of Michigan an apology. Until UM gets that there should be no honoring the Fab 5. But what really irks me is the lack of acknowledgement of the other players on both of those teams by Rose. The Fab 5 did not do everything for those teams. They didn't score all the points, get all the rebounds or block all the shots. Rose acts like the other members of the team were nonexistent or just carried the bags for the Fab 5. If Rose would ask for those Teams to be honored with or without Webber then it might happen. Honoring just five guys from a team is a slap in the face to all the other team members.

I'd say no one should should tweet anything negative to a recruit. What I see is a bunch of half wits tweeting crap to recruits who should shut up. If you wouldn't say it to someone's face then don't tweet it. Don't get courage from hiding you face.

They will say "We wanted him all the time". What a crock.
|8 weeks 2 days ago||I could care less what Drew Sharp writes||
Whoever, however, and whatever. The right decision was made regarding this hire. Sometimes decisions made by committee are the most solid decisions. Jerry Jones beyond common belief has every right to meddle. He owns the team. I own a small business in Michigan and I meddle all the time. Oh, by the way. Jones has been involved in football for 60 years. You don't have to be a former player or coach to know about football. If Brandon reminded or suggested to Hoke to get the offense fixed, so what. I'm sure Drew Sharp never gets told by his boss to do this or do that. Owners and bosses have that given right to interfere. That's their job.

how ND gets a seat at all tables when football talks start. The arrogance stinks up the place.

Upper bowl, mid court, first row. $200 per seat. I use to have four. Not anymore.
|9 weeks 2 days ago||Economics are one thing||
Fan loyalty is another. There are hundreds maybe thousands that have supported the athletic department and the teams when the teams were horrible. Then PSD's arrive and it takes no prisoners. BB season ticket holders regardless of seniority, location and other sport season ticket holder, were forced to pay PSD. Then were told to re-select their seats. No grandfather clause, it was strictly based upon money and believe me it pissed off a ton of season ticket holders. So economics is one thing but don't treat me like a second class fan when I sat with only 3000 BB fans during the bad years and now get pushed away because someone who drives a BMW can afford to grab my seats.
|9 weeks 2 days ago||I gave up BB season tickets||
After being a 10 year season ticket holder and also a 21 year football season ticket holder. My wife and I decided we just couldn't spend that much money on 4 seats for each sport. I really miss the BB games and feel we supported the program when they were nothing but also rans in the BB world. Two decent seasons and new digs and I'm priced out. Hated to do it but I can't afford to support the university like I use to. Our last season of BB we were even forced to move because of the PSD. Brandon will show no loyalty to any fan unless you can afford to throw tons of money at him. That's what it's all about now. Brandon taking your money and building his athletic walk way from State Street and Hoover to Stadium and Main. Anyone who states publicly that Michigan had a great FB season just before the OSU game like he did doesn't give a damn what fans think or feel. He's got greed in his eyes and in his heart.

that Meyer would have these two recruits commit to Michigan verbally and then have them sign with Ohio on NSF. That would just about screw us out of a couple players. Sounds outrageous but I'm just thinking out loud.
