For the info.
|1 week 1 day ago||Need help!!!||
We received our set of four tickets today. One of our tickets had an * next to the seat number. All other tickets were without the notation. I couldn't find anything on the tickets or in the book that explained it. Anyone know why.
|1 week 3 days ago||The coaching kids get in high school||
Is OK but nothing compared to what a college coaching staff is capable of. The strength program, the discipline while playing, the complexity of offenses and the depth of the competition can take a kid with good skills and turn them into much better players. My son was a good player in high school but when he got to college he had to work extremely hard to keep up. His game moved forward more than I ever thought it would. That comes from great coaching and you get that from coaches who have dedicated themselves to the game and can coach at the college level. JB has an uncanny ability to recognize that hidden talent in kids and bring them into the fold. You will notice that most of all the recent recruits have bought into the program philosophy. That's knowing what your getting before the kids commits.

|6 weeks 1 day ago||Rumor has it that the Seniors||
Did not embrace the younger guys last year. Lots of yelling and screaming and not a lot of guidance. That in itself would polarize a team and Hoke got the message and did not allow the seniors on this team to feel elite. No training with the Seal Teams, etc. This is a step in the right direction. Teams can't survive unless leaders lead by example. Leaders don't yell and scream at other players unless they are holding themselves accountable also. Once you are on a team you find out real quick who the good leaders are and who the wannabe leaders are. No matter. Teams can't survive a divided atmosphere.

I went to a few seminars that focused on recruiting. The best thing to do is send full game films to coaches. Do not send highlight film. The coaches want to see full games. They want to see how the kid sets screens, runs the floor without the ball, plays defense and attitude with teammates. The other way is to camp. My son went to Michigan's Elite Camp and it helped. Play AAU and send cover letters with game film so coaches know how to contact you. Good luck.

losing a 5'9" corner is not a big deal. We have had enough of those small corners to learn the bigger the better. Wish him well.

|10 weeks 17 hours ago||My son played in the camp every year||
from age 6 to age 17. He was able to learn a great deal from all the coaches and Michigan players he interacted with. He was a commuter and never stayed in the dorms. Getting to know the Michigan players and others coaches was a great experience for him. At his last camp the Michigan team scrimmaged in front of all the campers and they only had 9 players. They knew my son very well and the fact that he was 6-6, they asked him to scrimmage with the team. Eight points, 5 rebounds and a charge by Horford later was the thrill of a lifetime. He is now playing in college and learned a great deal about conditioning and diet from the players. He also learned what a tremendous commitment it takes to play at each level (High School and College).

|11 weeks 1 day ago||I was so impressed with his poise||
when I watched him in the State title game last fall. He has a great release and makes reads better than most I've seen at that age. He is smart and cool in the pocket. He is only going to get better so I'm excited to have him.

And they pick again at 16. I think Manziel goes to Cleveland.
|11 weeks 6 days ago||I agree with you.||
Any blog like this allows some people to say things they would not say to someone's face. That makes them an idiot. It gives some the false courage to rant using the foulest of language and total disregard for victims feelings and even finding guilt without facts is more than I can take at times and I'm a retired State Trooper who has seen and heard it all in over 25 years on the force. I pick and choose my arguments on here. So don't feel alone. As an older gentleman I say you are welcome. Hope to see some of your posts.
|12 weeks 2 days ago||What do you want?||
Stars or wins. Incoming Chatman is a 5 star. I'll take the wins.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||I watched this replay||
Earlier this afternoon. Then my wife walks into the house tonight and wants to watch some TV. I'm flipping through the channels and she sees this game on. Now I'm watching it for the second time today. Couldn't tell her I watched it earlier today. I'd rather have a wife that's loves Michigan football and put up with this brand of game than have a wife that won't watch. Gotta love her.

|14 weeks 13 hours ago||I talked to the ticket office manager||
Reference a seat change last year. During our conversation she told me that renewals would be posted on the website and letters were no longer being sent. I might be mistaken about the whole discussion but I didn't get a letter and received an email reference my renewal this year. It directed me to the official UM website. Hope that helps. I also just received an email thanking me for the renewal.

As a State Trooper, the post I worked at received a batch of the maps to give out to the pubic. When it was reported about the fictitious towns I kept a few for my scrapbook. I loved every second of the OSU whining.
|14 weeks 4 days ago||Pick and Roll - Pick and Pop||
The two things that make his offense hard to defend are these two types of plays. You'll notice in the half court sets that there are two players standing on the wings that appear to do nothing. The 4 or the 5 will be very high in the post. From this set the guards move the ball around the perimeter I till they create a seam. When the guard with the ball sees the opening in the defense the guard attacks at that point. This attack point puts the defense into a reaction mode. If the defense continues to pay more attention to the wings the pick and roll comes more into play. If the defense plays help defense on the guard the ball is passed to the short side wing or if the guard gets deep enough into the lane the pass is made to the far side wing. Of course the guard has options to dribble dive and pull up or get to the rack. It's not as complicated as some make it. But the ball handling guard is the trigger man in the offense and he has to make several reads during ball movement. The guards interchange with each other and the attack point can come from either side of the floor. That's the best I can do to explain it. Of course you have the top side 3 point shot that is a Beilien special.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Sometimes the damage is done||
during the summer workouts while coaching staff is not or can't be around. Then in some cases it's too far gone to fix. Just saying. I've been in a situation like that and it's hard to fix. I'm also in agreement with another poster on here. I would like to see more passion from Hoke. Teams can and do take in their coaches personality. Hoke might be coddling these guys too much. Start getting in their face as a coach instead of your seniors doing it.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||I'm not sure Hoke is the problem.||
I've been reading, and they could be rumors, but I'm hearing about Senior leadership was lacking. Seniors yelling at the younger players for mistakes instead of nurturing them and teaching them.

to handle Kentucky. It's early but UConn has two blocks at the rim and forced two other errant shots down low. UConn is faster on the break also.

|16 weeks 3 days ago||I'm watching the game on TNT.||
I didn't realize that the broadcast was Florida Teamcast. Couldn't believe how much attention Florida was getting even with the loss. Finally found TBS and Jim Nance. Now I get to here him fawn all over Kentucky. On Wisconsin.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||This is the ugliest||
Semi final game I've ever seen. Nobody can score and these teams are just not running any offense. They don't pass, dribble drive, or shoot very well from the three point line. Ugh!!!!
