I met John Wooden

I met John Wooden, the Wizard of Westwood, when he was probably 96 at a hotel in Downtown LA during my cousin's wedding.  He was still sharp and had a really special aura about him; we chatted for a few minutes and I got a picture with him after.  I also lived in the same neighborhood as Antawn Jamison, and had multiple encounters with him over the few years he lived near me.  He is a really, really nice guy who was always willing to chat a little hoops.

This isn't really an encounter, but I used to give tennis lessons twice a week to Alan Greenspan and his wife, Andrea Mitchell, and I gave a couple lessons to Chief Justice John Roberts as well.

Completely OT from this post but this

OT and sorry to put

OT and sorry to put in this thread, but I can't make my own.  Manny Harris probably just finished the best game of his young NBA career. Scored 19 and pulled down 12 boards in a Cleveland win over the New York Knicks tonight.  Glad he has found a role on an NBA team, albeit not a very good one.

YESSS!

YES!!!!! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!  Honestly, he made a great decision for his future and I am glad he really thought things through.  Going through the whole "thinking he was going pro" thing will make me and other Michigan fans appreciate him coming back that much more.

Baked potato..

While I think you are right

While I think you are right and he will come back, the same type of thing happened to Manny and Donovan Warren last year and both went pro, neither got drafted.  Hope to god he stays though, he can definitely become a solid first-rounder if he develops his left-hand and a more consistent jump shot.

Have to disagree with 1-4

Have to disagree with 1-4:

1. Horford will put on a lot more muscle, but will never play the 4 and will split time with Morgan.

2. Douglass will remain the starter, for most of the season at least.  People always seem to overlook his defense, he is still the best perimeter defender on this team.

3. 1-1 against Sparty.  As much as I wish we could sweep them again, they still have Green, Appling, great recruiting class, so they beat us once after being embarrassed this season.

4. O$U in Columbus is a tall task.  I think we will beat them once, but that will come at home.

5. But I couldn't agree more here, Michigan will win the Big 10!

GO BLUE! cannot wait until next season!

I think we want Duke to win

I think that we should be rooting for Duke over Clemson tonight.  While we did beat Clemson on the road, Clemson is also a solid bubble team that could surpass us with a win against a top-5 team away from home.  Their RPI and shot at making the tournament would hardly be hurt losing to Duke, a probable 1-seed.

I agree completely, this is

I agree completely, this is by no means a must-win game.  As posted earlier, KenPom has this as the least likely win the rest of the way (16%, I believe).  We need to win @Iowa and home v. MSU, but this will probably be the toughest regular season game remaining.  However, I do feel like an upset is quite possible tonight. Go Blue

I'm sorry I have to say this

I'm sorry I have to say this but your icon is absolutely fantastic. Makes me wish it were Saturday afternoon on Hoover Ave. right now.
