Is Michigan doing something wrong with these supposed leans? Is this just something that happens and has happened in the past? Just feel like this is an every year thing.

Did you even read the part where he said out of left field and will never happen?

First off, man was that '98 class awesome. 2004 not too shabby as well. Also, our very own Jeff Hecklinski was the #2 rated QB in '93!

Some have already mentioned, but get great recommendation letters. Somehow try and connect with someone who graduated. Start your essays early to make sure they are done to the best of your ability (you can research standard questions and have a couple of drafts already started). Try and do some internships/extra work in your intended major. As others have mentioned try and get yor ACT score up. If you are having problems doing so go into your last chance not caring...I know that sounds bad but I took mine a few times and kept getting the same score (studied and took practice test) and finaly I said screw it and just went in their relaxed and did 2 pts better.

Granted I watched about 5 minutes of each's(?) highlight tape but I didn't noticed a real difference between Malzone and Kearns. Kearns looked like he had a hitch in his throwing motion. They both look about the same size and both seem decently mobile. Would be happy offering either but again, didn't notice a real difference.

Dan Patrick gets to hang out with a lot of the SI Swimsuit models since his show is connected to the magazine and he said Kate Upton is absolutely gorgeous in real life...like WAY better than the pictures (and those are pretty great if you ask me).

Giants just announced RB's coach Jerald Ingram will not be retained. HE would be a great replacement to Fred one day. Coached 8 1,000 yd rushers during his 10 years in NY. Played for Michigan in the early 80's.

I'm pretty sure Brian was joking when he made the Mike Hart reference...I was just explaining why it was made in the first place.

Because Harris was a huge Mike Hart fan growing up and that's where his Michigan fandom came from.

How can you say you're a life long Michigan fan and then have OSU #2. Yeah, yeah 17 year old kid and all of that but it still doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

|33 weeks 1 day ago||I totally agree they should||
I totally agree they should try this approach next year. Only play Shane if Devin is out for a significant portion on a game/season.
|33 weeks 1 day ago||For all intensive purposes||
For all intensive purposes Shane could still be the back up QB and take the 2nd team reps in practice however Bellomy would take 2nd team game reps/mop up duty and any helmet off wasted snap plays in the hopes of redshirting Shane. If Devin is lost for any significant time Shane would essentially burn his redshirt and take over. The reason they didn't use Cleary in the Bellomy role this year is because they felt Shane needed the game reps in mop up time.

He can absolutely redshirt. Darboh is redshirting right now after playing his freshmen year. Virginia Tech tried to do the same thing with Tyrod Taylor a few years ago. He played his freshmen and they tried to redshirt him his sophomore unfortunately the starter got hurt and he had to burn his redshirt again.
|33 weeks 1 day ago||When I played in college my||
When I played in college my freshman year our starting QB (a junior) broke his leg first game of season. Backup QB wasn't very effective so they pulled my freshmen classmates redshirt and put him in at QB. The following year when the starter returned from injury they redshirted my buddy and the original backup resumed back up duties.
|33 weeks 1 day ago||I don't understand why||
I don't understand why everyone gets so confused on the redshirt issue. You get 5 years to play 4. The second you step on the field that counts as a year played. If you don't play a single snap throughout the season that counts as a redshirt year provided you haven't already redshirted. You can apply for a medical redshirt only if you get injured during the first 3 games of the season and haven't already taken a redshirt year (some extreme cases they grant you a sixth year). You can redshirt any of the 5 years on campus provided you haven't already redshirted. Shane will be able redshirt next year (Darboh is essentially doing that this year).

I was just going to post this. Was wondering why Michigan wasn't looking at him considering they have 2 of his teammates committed.

I think the real thing to take from this is that he has been talking to Moe Ways and seems solid to Michigan.
|36 weeks 1 day ago||Cannot stress this enough!||
Cannot stress this enough! My dad (a former player) and I talk about this all the time. When is the last time Michigan beat a team based off of the gameplan?! When Michigan wins its mostly because they have better talent. And most of the games they lose they have better talent and get out gameplaned. I can't remember the last time Michigan either a) had better talent and a better gameplan or b) had lesser talent but a better gameplan.

How can a team consistently F up the 2 minute drill but perfectly execute the hurry up FG. Unreal!

|37 weeks 1 day ago||How the hell do you look at||
How the hell do you look at the first picture with 9 in the box and a single high safety and not immediately call a fade route to your 6'5" WR?! It's a 3 step drop throw! No way the safety gets to either side. With the way pass interference is called these days you'd probably get a PI 25% of the time. I would rather take my chances with Funchess 1 on 1 then running into a 9 man box. There literally is no defense for not doing this. I would love to hear what SC says. Why on earth wouldn't you try this!!!
|37 weeks 1 day ago||This is my biggest problem||
This is my biggest problem with Al and the offense. Offense doesn't need to be complicated to be successful. You could have 5-10 run looks and 5-10 pass looks with 10-15 formations/motions/shifts and have over 100 "plays". West Virginia installs their offense in 3 days! You rep your responsibilities for each run/pass look to death and really it doesn't matter where you line up. Then during each week you can add counters based off of the defense you are playing and maybe a new "home run" play here or there. It's not that fucking hard. Instead Michigan has ~2-3 plays per formation with not a lot of overlap and doesn't have time to practice each one to death and thus is not really good at anyone of them.
|37 weeks 1 day ago||The thing that really got me||
The thing that really got me was his reasoning for covering Funchess...to allow him to block a safety 10 yards away in a 2 high look. I honestly don't know how covering your most dangerous weapon is defensable especially if your reasoning is so he can block a guy 10 yards away that probably has deep half responsibilities and isn't going to be screaming towards the play anyways.
