Let me provide you with a few brief things that could be more productive than analyzing recruiting rankings in April:

  1. Go for a run
  2. Lift some weights
  3. Play rounds of golf
  4. Smoke a brisket
  5. Go fishing
  6. Ride a bike/motorcycle/side by side
  7. Wax your vehicle
  8. Pull weeds
  9. Cut grass
  10. Discover indoor plumbing
  11. Practice breathing through the nose and not the mouth
  12. Re-watch the 2023 CFB NC game
The 2021 OSU game is the…

The 2021 OSU game is the obvious answer.  Some that were kind of forgotten are 2016, 2018 and 2022 wins against Penn St.  Those were absolute ass kickings in all facets of the game.

I stepped right into that…

I stepped right into that one. Good day sir.

How did Bo Jackson Jr end up…

How did Bo Jackson Jr end up in Cleveland playing for Desmond Howard and Elvis Grbac's alma mater Villa Angela St Joes?

People that can't keep…

People that can't keep politics out of any conversation and Taylor Swift fans.

I'm sure Davis will get a…

I'm sure Davis will get a fair look in practice, but he would have to be an incredible talent to win the job as a true frosh. Is he? Possibly. No one really wants to play a freshman qb. They typically do it out of desperation. I don't think a revamp of the offense is required for Orji. They can incorporate more zone reads easily into what they currently do. The deep shots will always be there if the o line opens up holes in the run game like they have the past few seasons. Davis seeing time later in the year would make much more sense IMO.

Sure. He can make Edwards,…

Sure. He can make Edwards, Mullings and Hall some coffee and fill up their water bottles.

Leaders and Legends? /s

Leaders and Legends? /s

Next season's qb is most…

Next season's qb is most likely already on the roster. I don't think the coaches view it as a desperate situation because it isn't.  These guys can play and have earned an opportunity to showcase what they can do.

Is this heaven? No, it's…

Is this heaven? No, it's Iowa.

Michigan State's offense…

Michigan State's offense would also like to play with the points module.

Just What I Needed -The Cars

OSU has never had much…

OSU has never had much success with Galloways so probably a wise move by Day to pass on this kid. /s

Brock Bowers makes the most…

Brock Bowers makes the most sense IMO. Harbaugh loves some man ball with 12 personnel while still having receiving threats.

Agree. Schiano is definitely…

Agree. Schiano is definitely a name that stood out to me as well. Rutgers is a doormat when he's not the HC.

Feels like somebody just…

Feels like somebody just pulled these lists out of their ass and didn't account for the fact that it's much tougher to be competitive at certain universities.

Opposing fans are always…

Opposing fans are always going to be butthurt when you're successful. If it's not one thing, they'll find something else to justify thier unhappiness.  They're insane.

A little difficult to…

A little difficult to speculate with no roster in place.

Ohtani will probably be well…

Ohtani will probably be well protected like most of the PED guys from the 90's and early 2000's until he is no longer bringing MLB large amounts of revenue.

Warde didn't address whether…

Warde didn't address whether he was the second gunman on the grassy knoll, so I know which way I'm leaning.

I was expecting Haskins 5th…

I was expecting Haskins 5th TD run in the 2021 game against OSU.

Lol You wanted Harbaugh…

Lol You wanted Harbaugh fired.

When people talk NIL around…

When people talk NIL around here, it's usually with other people's money and not their own. Appreciate the link.

I don't have much knowledge…

I don't have much knowledge of Balas outside of what is posted here. Most "insiders" are full of shit IMO. Coaches aren't typically open about anything, so people that claim to have insider knowledge are usually just panhandling.

He's a good scapegoat for…

He's a good scapegoat for anything that goes wrong in the world. Your McDonald's fries are soggy? You can always blame Warde.

I'd have to observe him in his day to day role to have an educated opinion on how he handles his responsibilities. Rumblings on the internet never paint the full picture.

You weren't alone in 2020. …

You weren't alone in 2020.  Many on here wanted the same.  You're one of the few that admits to their mistake though.  The replacement options listed were no where close to Jim IMO.  He was going to deliver. It just took a little longer than many anticipated.  He's one of the best coaches out there at any level. If he couldn't get it rolling, it would probably be a sign that M football was permanently broken.

Reading the Twitter comments…

Reading the Twitter comments section is like taking a trip to Walmart and having a conversation with every person in the store.

The Gatling gun of…

The Gatling gun of insufferable takes strikes again.

Yeah could of been more…

Yeah could've been more descriptive about the Texas years. My bar is really low these days. I was just happy it wasn't a look at me clown post.

I can't envision Mark Few…

I can't envision Mark Few leaving Gonzaga after 20 plus years. Seems like he's a lifer there.

I don't believe you're the…

I don't believe you're the first to suggest him, but other posts about Smart are probably buried under a mountain of feces. You did provide good information.

After a month or so of…

After a month or so of people throwing tantrums on here, it all seemed to work itself out. Go figure.

I think most agree that it's…

I think most agree that it's heading in the wrong direction until some new system gets put into place. The message would probably be better received if it came from someone who didn't bend/break so many of the previous rules.  Kind of like Urban Meyer teaching a course on ethics.

Very cool story bud. Thanks…

Very cool story bud. Thanks for sharing. The size of the majority of these guys is always jaw dropping when you see them up close.  He's already earned legendary status IMO.

Welcome Wink. You have some…

Welcome Wink. You have some excellent house warming gifts on the defensive front and in the secondary. Feels like you're going to enjoy your stay.

What a story. Walter…

What a story. Walter Cronkite is probably disappointed he missed out on this one.

Just a hair faster then NFL…

Just a hair faster than NFL great wr's like John Ross, Rondel Melendez, Dri Archer,  and Jerome Mathis. It's almost like there are other factors that matter more than 40 times. Amon-Ra St. Brown ran a 4.51 at the combine and a 4.6 at his pro day. I'm sure all the Lions fans on here are fine with it.

Yeah I don't know if it's…

Yeah I don't know if it's scientific data, but I don't have the kind of time required to gather 8 billion folks to the line so I'm rolling with it.

The average person runs in…

The average person runs in the 5.5-5.9 range. Just in case you needed to be reminded that these dudes are terrifying.

Nice of OSU to pretend there…

Nice of OSU to pretend there are still recruiting rules.

Kris Jenkins is going to…

Kris Jenkins is going to play in the league for a long time IMO. He fits well in multiple fronts.

It depends more on the draft…

It depends more on the draft class. There were 2 taken in the top 12 last year. It's not the 80's for sure, but if you get an elite talent coming out, he's still going to go pretty high. The desperation of teams to draft qb's causes a lot of swings and misses. Marvin Harrison Jr is the best player in the draft IMO. I hate it, but barring injury I don't see how he's not going to be a major factor in the NFL.

I'm going to go in the…

I'm going to go in the opposite direction and say one of the biggest surprises to me is Mike Danna. He was only at M for a brief period, but I definitely didn't see him being the impact player he is at the next level.

Be prepared to fall a lot…

Be prepared to fall a lot and don't brace yourself with your arms when you do. A lesson may help, but it's a fairly steep learning curve before you feel comfortable.  If you're athletic and have good balance, you will probably be fine. You will be sore from using muscles and ligaments that you may not work out often.

I think Kareem Hunt or Clyde…

I think Kareem Hunt or Clyde Edwards-Helaire are decent NFL comps. Both had some solid productivity with the Chiefs early in thier careers. Hunt (4.62) went in the 3rd round and Edwards-Helaire (4.6) was late 1st or early 2nd. Guys that can put it in the end zone in short yardage situations always have value.

Long break away speed is one…

Long break away speed is one of the more overrated traits of a running back. I'd focus more on the 3 cone drill and agility if I was evaluating rb's. You don't get many long runs in the NFL and I'd rather have a guy who can get small in the hole and get something when nothing is there. If you run a 4.5 you can get plenty of big gains if the defense gets out of position. Corum's jump cut and short area quickness is what separates him IMO.

Who runs the Maize Rage X account and what kind of control do they have over anything?

Respect for sticking with your teammates and commitment sir.

People slept on DJ Waller due to his recruiting ranking. Time to wake up.

Great premise for a thread. Let's all predict which days we will get a sinus infection this year too.
