Iggy and Mathews played with no intensity today. I would have liked to see them drive the ball and make Happ try to defend the rim. We could’ve gotten him in foul trouble....with Happ on the bench there’s no other offense threat on their team.
They found something that worked and exploited us.....we did absolutely nothing to counter. Actually the play where they ran the rb’s on a wheel route they stole from FSU’s play book. We were torched by Dalvon Cook on that play several times and two years later we still haven’t figured it out

He hides behind tradition and this "Michigan Man" bs. He's simply no good, 4 years into the rebuilding project and he's still laying the foundation???? His guys have been in the program for 3 years and there are no signs of improvement just claps, "well", and "he's done some nice things", and "we need to get better". Ugh! Just resign, please.
Other observations. There's been a one handed catch here and there, no sustainable drives. Shane has shown a good touch and arm strength. Joe Bolden is ferocious with bad intentions for ball carriers. Overall the D looks pretty solid...lots of quality depth.

It doesn't necessarily mean people are packing it in, they're just being realistic. I'm sure if Gardner was throwing darts and the O-line was mauling the D-Line yesterday the comments would be different.
Gardner is who he is, a QB that is capable of some big plays, both positive and negative. The offensive line is not good and it doesn't appear from the practice that they're capable of getting a push much less control the line of scrimmage. The RB's are probably better but it will not matter because of the line. Same for the receivers, improved as a unit from last year but Gardner is the weak link. The Defense will be better than average and will probably make some plays to keep us in games as they did last year which. I just don't see us winning at EL or Cbus. 10-2 is the ceiling, I hope I'm wrong.
Looking like Gardner, bad decision making, mechanics are off and he's inaccurate. If he hasn't developed these skills so far, I don't foresee a break thru in the next 4 months.
after not only being a Gopher commit but being offered this late in the game. Reality says not gonna happen, it's ok to bank the scholly for next year. Not a big deal
It's not like we were able to get to McCarron when he was our d-line coach 2 seasons ago. He's a good coach but you need talent on the d-line to execute pass rush and run stop schemes.
I wouldn't mind seeing the Sooners take this one. This might be a game that brings Bama down to earth. It easy to say you just reload but they're going to miss McCarron next year and there's no guarantee that the team chemistry will be the same.
And that was without McGary and Robinson (for the most part). A lot of guys stepped up in this win which is encouraging. D-Walt has been fine so far, if you have realistic expectations. Trey was a once in a generation player so quit dreaming. There's plenty of weapons on this team, they just need to play with confidence and they'll be fine. Go Blue!
And unfortunately it doesn't end this season. I have not seen anything this year or last that suggests this will get better next season. Aside from recruiting 4 stars that haven't lived up to their hype I don't think Hoke and his crew have done anything better than RR. Staring down a ridiculously difficult road schedule next year I don't see how Hoke survives. Mattison and Borges are stale and overrated. Time to clean house again, unfortunately.

Too late in the year to put Morris in there. Why put him in a bad position but there was plenty of opportunities earlier this year when Gardner was truly struggling. I don't understand the stubborness to change things up when they are going bad or just not working. Running backs, QB, DE's (no pass rush). Loyalty to a fault
Not looking forward to next week. OSU will look to embarrass us because they need the style points. Our D, will keep us in it for a half at best.... but eventually after all the 3 and outs they will roll us by 4 or 5 touchdowns....easy. I hope I'm not right but the odds are not in our favor.
I think we know what kind of QB Gardner is, he has digressed through the season. His potential is low in my oppinion We need a QB that will make reads and be able to deliver the ball. Gardner holds on to it too long, locks in on receivers, and can't throw an accurate ball consistently....lets move on
3 years into this and its not getting better, even with better talent. Talent is young but some of Hoke's guys have been starting for 2 and some cases 3 years now. Hoke has to be on the hot seat, great recruiting or not!

After 2 and a half years how many guys have turned into studs through training from this staff? 2 (Ryan, Lewan). Countess maybe...where's all the linebacking, offensive and defensive line talent? As young as some of these guys are you should be able to see some sort of indication of play makers at this point. I don't see it.
Game Plan C-
When have we gone into a game where we were under dogs and some how through an outstanding game plan we came out victorious? Not one. How many games have we put together a full team effort and just completely overwhelmed the opposition.

How many times have we seen in game adjustments that completely turned games around?
Team Identity / Poise?
This team lacks an identity, and poise. It's soft team that is easily rattled. Often rattled by inferior teams..Penn St, Indiana, UConn, Akron....just this year. Hoke been selling this smash mouth, down hill running team and a Raven's like D. I'm sorry, I don't see it. I made excuses for RR and I'm seeing history repeat itself again. I hope I'm wrong.
Lastly put on a headset fer god sakes...even if they don't function. He looks like Bobby Bowden in his final years at FSU..clueless.
15 to 5 minutes in possession time against a team that was absolutely waxed last week at home and a coach in the hospital. 4-0 is fools gold.....the near misses the last 2 games are no accident. We'll squeak by but it will not be enjoyable.
Way too passive going to the hole. We needed to match their hand checking and physicality in the beginning so the refs have no choice but to call fouls. Instead they got away with fouls which led to turn overs and easy buckets. Not to mention everyone was clearly rattled and were off their game. What's done is done, they'll have to gulp this one down and pay them back in AA. Go blue!
Obvious blown calls on the touchdown and phantom helmet to helmet. Then the blatant over the top homerism of the announcers...sickening. Good thing the force of karma is greater than the luck of the Irish. I see at least 3 losses in their future.
