to me, there's nothing worse than my friends who went to SEC schools who haven't won anything gloating about the SEC's accomplishments.
UGA / South Carolina / Tennessee / etc fans saying "we've won the past 7 national championships!" in college football discussions as if it's a badge of superiority pisses me off to no end. no, a-hole, YOU didnt win anything, your rivals did.
rest assured if Wisconsin, Penn State, OSU and Iowa ran off a string of NC's, Michigan fans would not be bragging about it to fans of Big 12 & SEC schools.
College kids want to do college kid things, which includes football players and other athletes. that can include smoking weed from time to time. there were plenty of players now playing in the NFL who smoked weed at UM.
1) NW game from 2008 where a Donovan Warren TD was called back because they claimed he stepped OOB?
2) 2005 vs OSU, anthony gonzalez runs out of bounds while troy smith is scrambling, only to come back on the field and catch the ball at the 5 yard line?
taking paid subscription info and putting it here... it's one thing if it's in a headline thats obvious like "DID UM GET NEW COMMIT???" above a picture of Richard Ash, but it's another to do this
EPIC FAIL.
in fact, any system that takes into account an automatic qualifier for winning a conference is wrong for football IMO.
the idea is to get the best teams in the playoff to determine the best team overall, right? so keep the BCS formula, take the top 4/6/8/12/whatever teams and let them duke it out.
lest you forget 30% of the UM students hail (ha!) from states other than Michigan, the Tigers are not everybody's pro team; i'm a braves fan and couldn't care less about the Tigers, and i'm worried they'll sign our top incoming recruit.
that may be so, but Singler's elbow tonight and Henderson's last year will NOT elicit a "Coach K needs to get his team in order" tirade tomorrow like he did after Harris got the boot.
if he's gonna spew righteous indignation, he's gotta do it both ways, and i promise you he wont.
from MLive.com:
"After the game, Kampfer was seen being transported via gurney to an ambulance with a brace around his neck. No further details on Kampfer were available. Berenson refused to comment, saying he didn't see the play unfold.
Meanwhile, just minutes earlier outside of Michigan State's locker room at the opposite end of Yost Ice Arena, a man attempted to attack Michigan State coach Rick Comley, who was heard yelling "I want a cop and I want security right now."
No other details were available regarding that incident, including whether or not the man physically touched Comley.
Comley said he apologized to Berenson after the game and promised that he'd "take care of" his players, implying he'd levy his own disciplinary measures."

pretty sure most of the womens hockey team went to Minnesota or Wisconsin
another hint you can't afford it: it's referred to as a "timepiece" and not a watch.
