of our players being described as gritty, aggressive and tough. Those adjectives are great and all but we need to start getting some players that are described as athletic, fast, great leaper, pro talent etc...
Yoda is 3 feet tall has arthritis and walks around with a wooden cane yet when called upon can do 720 back flips and crazy light saber acrobatics.
Do not fret the force is strong and when called upon the forcier will be with us.
And that second video from the ND gave me the chills. I hope they keep producing quality videos like they have been. I'm really liking how the athletic department is trying to experiment and tweak the new social media outlets as well.
The fact that M bball will have a state of the art practice facility will be a huge draw to go along with the Glick center because athletes spend probably 80-90% of their time in practice and only 10-20% in competition a season, so it would only make sense to spruce up what they spend a majority of their time in first.
Don't get me wrong I would love for Crisler to be spruced up but I'll take a new practice facility any day.
and hopefully his appetite will be filled. The better our D-Line plays the more success we will have against ND in protecting our secondary.
I just hope that Roh has a second game equal to his performance against WMU.
If it's a nom nom nom type of day for our d-line good things will happen.
I love the sponsorship. It's a great blend between my favorite M website and my favorite M apparel store. I do however really want to know where I can get that pair of Adidas basketball shoes that is in the display when you first walk into the M-Den on State Street.
The only thing we know for certain about Denard is that he will continue to leave his shoelaces untied and that the media will run that story to death.
On a football front, given the spring practice advantage that Tate has had over DG, he has naturally looked more poised and aware of QB related things.
I for one however, cannot get over how fast DG is, and to me when you have an athlete such as DG, whose speed is so superior to almost anybody that he faces, you have to let him touch the ball as much as possible. He will learn the QB position with time and increased touches and the more game snaps he gets, the faster that learning curve will be IME.
I also think that the whole Tate got to play in front of ~40 thousand at the spring game definitely helped him adjust to playing in front of ~106,000 while Denard probably has never seen a crowd even a quarter of the Big House's size.
I for one cannot wait to see if this 2nd game=largest improvement thing come to fruition.
Regardless, this is a great discussion to be having as the more assets the team has the better.
pass during the superbowl where he got the ball in a reverse and then threw on the run to a streaking Ward in the endzone. That would be more reflective of DG's potential qb skill than lob the ball to a guy with nobody 10 yds of him.

Interesting, sure looks an awful lot like these though:

Mr. Cook has been doing them for years though. Coincidence perhaps.
His Response
Claymore,
I assure you, it's a coincidence. These types of reviews are something I did when I was in Fort Wayne in 2007 (didn't do them in 2008 because there were DVR issues I was having).
...
My take:
If this is something that Rothstein has been doing for a while and took pride in, wouldn't he want to try a little bit harder to fix his "DVR issues" so that he could write his trademark column in 2008?

We should be above blind admiration for our team. We are playing better. How much better is yet to be seen.
