I honestly couldn't care less about their politics. They are actors who are very good at what they do, but that is where the admiration ends. I don't care what or who my mechanic supports or what party they belong to, I just care about getting my car fixed. Like I clearly stated in my previous post, I have no problem with Hollywood, and the reason I haven't watched an awards show since the 90's is due to it being a giant boring unfunny circle jerk that takes 4 hours. Maybe you should read my previous posts instead of suspecting and assuming.

I agree with that. Jimmy Kimmel is just not funny. Billy Crystal hosted events were always fun to watch. Way too long, but then again, I haven't watched one of these awards shows since the 90's and they were overly long then too.

Holywood in general is pretentious, and I think that most people are sick of the political garbage coming from the actors. But you are right, there is a lot of good work coming from "hollywood", even thought the best work is in television in my opinion. I never said I was anti hollywood, but the oscars, golden globes, or any award show is nothing but a gigantic circle jerk. I am sorry, but I wouldn't waste time watching an award show, because they are in general, a huge waste of time. I was fortunate to get a Nintendo Switch and the new Legend of Zelda game a week early, so my son and I played that last night, and playing 2 hours of that game was better than watching any type of award show, ever. BTW, if anyone is a Zelda fan, they will absolutely love this game!!

I also have no intrest in hollywood fellating themselves, but to see 2 of our own getting awards is a pretty big deal and I have no problem congratulating them. Did I watch the show, Hell no, but heard about all of the gaffs by the production staff. They put a live womans picture in place of a dead woman in their in memory segment.

There was a crazy underrated movie of his called Frailty. Him and McConaughey were great in that film.

I don't follow league 1 but after Monaco gave my City a test of all tests this week, they have certainly piqued my interest. Their youth and balls to the wall attacking style is a blast to watch. I would love to have Mendy and m'bappe on my squad.

Chelsea look like title winners. Nice game by them today.

It's articles like this that make me really hate the way the mainstream espn and Fox talking heads portray Jim. Jim doesn't cheat, he is a good dad, loves his family, has respect for everyone, works his ass off. Just because he does a few quirky things, he gets this crazy man rep, that I don't believe is warranted at all. I am grateful that we have a coach and a great guy like Jim to represent our wonderful university.

We shall see. I don't think Boston is a long term thing considering direct quotes from PG himself.
edit: looks like Indy will keep PG just as I suspected. I can see a deal in the offseason though.
|4 days 10 hours ago||Nah, they need to drag that||
Nah, they need to drag that pathetic conference down. This is like the lower level mob boss wanting to plea out to rat on his higher up's. We all want to see that conference in the trash heap. Not going to happen, but we can all dream.
|4 days 11 hours ago||If Boston has a bunch to||
If Boston has a bunch to offer, then yes, the deal will benefit both teams. Now, can Boston sign him in 2018 when he is a free agent?
|4 days 12 hours ago||I think PG stays in Indy||
I think PG stays in Indy until the end of the season. I can't see anyone on the offer sheet that has enough to give Indy in return for PG. I think he either stays in Indy and signs with LA in 2018 as a free agent, or Indy make some serious moves to get him some help. Can't see the Celtics deal, if all they have is a first round pick to offer.

I have an older car, with a freaking tape deck. I just use the tape deck iphone adaptor and listen to my catalogue in the car. It's perfect.

No doubt, I livein Illinois, but it's been tame for years during winter. The weather in the midwest is nothing compared to 10years ago. Hell, it's been 70 degrees for a week and half now.

So glad we have these threads here now. As a huge City fan, and futbol fan in general, I am so happy to have a place to discuss the sport with smart, logical fans. Being a City fan, I am thoroughly exhausted from yesterday's thriller. That would be the game I show all the soccer haters why we love this sport so much. The sports ranks second only to Michigan football for me, and I played college basketball!!! Good luck to Leicester today, hope they can shock the world!

Crazy game. aguero has been on another level tonight. Caballero with some nice saves too. City deserved that win with a beastly second half. Great job overcoming some great attacking play by Monaco and some abysmal officiating.

I am laughing so hard at my teams defense today. Just horrid.
|6 days 9 hours ago||Yeah. He looks really good.||
Yeah. He looks really good. I thought Monaco was going to give us a real test and they are, but man, our defense is bad and making it way too easy, and the referee is abysmal. That yellow on aguero is ohio st level bad.
|1 week 3 days ago||Man, that is absolutely||
Man, that is absolutely ridiculous. I am a single dad with full custody of my son. I was lucky to have an ex that realized the kids welfare and life was better off with me. She didn't fight it, and now that she has cleaned up a lot of her life, we have agreed on her being more a part of his life. I have a great relationship with her mother, and that helped out a ton at the beginning of our issues. It makes a world of difference when both parties agree to what is best for the child and I had a great job so I didn't even press the child support issue. Now she is involved in my sons life, and financially contributes to help support him. I was lucky that everything has worked out so well for me, but I do wish everyone the best, because these issues usually end up hurting the child more than the parents. Good luck to you.
|1 week 3 days ago||Yeah, Aguero can be very||
Yeah, Aguero can be very fragile, and he has already missed as much time as he usually does during the season, albeit, due to suspensions rather than injuries, so him getting hurt is a real possibility. Losing Jesus is as typical City as typical City gets. But considering all of our struggles this season, especially defensively, the fact that Pep is figuring things out, and we are starting to roll, we are in second place. While all the pundits rave about Liverpool and Tottenham, we are still in second place. I wouldn't be too upset if we missed UCL next year, but your wishful thinking that we won't crack top 4 is just that, wishful thinking. Even without Gundogan and Jesus, we still have a deeper team than anyone in the EPL.

I agree, I am not a baseball or hockey fan at all, but when there is a thread about those sports, I just don't go into them. I would hope to be negged to death if I did that. I used to be a soccer hater 10 years ago, now it's right under Michigan football as my favorite thing to watch. Once I understood the sport and started playing in an indoor league, I haven't looked back.

|1 week 3 days ago||Yeah, it's funny that he got||
Yeah, it's funny that he got credit for that first one, where Aguero's goal on Monday couldn't have been ruled an own goal quicker. Man City gets treated like Michigan does by the media. David Silva has been majesterial through his whole career and never been on an EPL team of the year? laughable.
I do like the OP's proposal though. I will be here every saturday and sunday morning!!

You and me both. Haven't watched a sportcenter in years, and honestly, I haven't missed it one iota. Highlight shows that show 10 minutes of highlights and 50 min of talking heads is the biggest waste of time in my opinion.

I just started Legion of fx. Looks like it's going to be a winner. Nothing else until GoT has piqued my interest. I am rewatching Burn Notice on Netflix also. Just finished season 2, and yes, it is just a fun show. I also just finished Person of Interest on Netflix. That was an amazingly underrated show. Absolutely loved that one.
