Read what we said, dude. We said his schemes are creative. Not his play calls.
I mean, the smugness of your post. Geez.

Play calling? I think Borges' calling card is scheme. He loves drawing up plays. He can be fairly innovative.
He and Kelly, by the sound of it, would be a great match. Al draws the plays; Kelly puts them to practice while Al coaches the QBs.

Double post. Whoops
|8 weeks 12 hours ago||I think the reason he took||
I think the reason he took this job is that they offered him to become Asst. or Assoc. HC with the meeting/exceeding of expectations after a year or a couple years. That's a big, BIG boost to his HC stock nationally. It's possible that he didn't land Washington is because Petersen had HC experience. Saban would never have made given him the additional responsibility/title because he didn't like the play-calling (or something).

I don't think the race conclusion is obvious, but you can cool your jets because ATM you sound like a reverse racism apologist. And technically that's political, therefore off-limits....

Yeah I think we can count McDowell out as a Michigan lean.

When a former NFL coach sings you're praises, you're in a good place athletically.
Hopefully, it's only up for Peppers.

You just got trolled hard, and then you fed the troll...repeatedly.
Frankly, I think he's onto something.

No, I made a comparison to another moment of the rivalry where we were the clear underdogs to a team that had a similar win-streak. What you read seems to be rather different.

Okay, Wilford. Whatever you say.

That's not what I'm suggesting.
Go away from football for a little while. I want you to feel better.

Neither we nor they have beaten anyone of note. But they have one fewer loss than we.

I think you're right. He has always worked to help the team, but I think Fitz won't ever be productive in a scheme like ours. Derrick Green had success yesterday for much different reasons.
|16 weeks 1 day ago||I guess we're reading the||
I guess we're reading the quote a little differently, and I dunno. You're seeing, "He didn't get enough practice [quantitatively]." I'm seeing, "He didn't get enough practice and timing [qualitatively]."
Perhaps mine is the problematic reading. Such is the problem of coach speak!
|16 weeks 1 day ago||However, his full quote tells||
However, his full quote tells a little differently...
"Fitz had been out most of the week, he did some things on a couple days, but it just wasn't enough," Hoke said. "A little bit injury-related, but a lot of it, too, was 'you've got to practice.' You've got to practice and get timing. And we just didn't think he had enough."
So it's not just the injury. Yes, he may still be our tailback. But he lost PT for things other than injury.

Yup--and Hoke's already got a Sugar Bowl win. If by year 6 he has a B1G championship, we're on par with John Cooper! Right now, though, we're ahead.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||Eh. It happened to Ohio, just||
Eh. It happened to Ohio, just to a lesser degree. John Cooper was not all that great by record. Hoke's not really far off where Cooper was.
|16 weeks 4 days ago||I won't lie;||
that line bothered me, too. He's dealing with a person who has coached football (and one who seems to be fairly good with x's and o's) for who knows how many years. I don't think he's in a position to talk to SC that way on the basis of, "Well, I'm telling you: To me, it looks hard. Therefore, it is."
|16 weeks 4 days ago||You're absolutely right: What||
You're absolutely right: What you see is what you get here. That's why I liked this presser. He said, that's it. We're doing what we want to do with this program. Because we have to adjust. Is that frustrating when we all want to win RITE MEOW!!!! Yes. Of course. But will it be just as frustrating if, in two-ish years, we are winning a B1G Championship? People forget that Hoke's record at Ball State went down before it skyrocketed.
|16 weeks 4 days ago||What the hell evidence do you||
What the hell evidence do you have that tells you Hoke is not this way in practice?
|16 weeks 4 days ago||Well, to be fair||
our failures on offense have really been a team effort. Coaches, O-Line, QB, RB....
Regardless: Everyone should right now send a kind and supportive twitter message to all football players you follow, especially Gardner.
|16 weeks 4 days ago||This isn't really dialogue||
I agree that he should be open about disagreeing with SC specifically, but I don't agree with the way that he did it. I furthermore think that this almost didn't even merit a response. Like, what does Brian need? Everyone to be on his side? Say your piece, let SC say his, be done with it. If SC wants to disagree when Brian is clearly right, let him.
I just think this is a weird move in general. I appreciate the dialogue, too, but that's what comments are for. SC, obviously, does not have front page capabilities so his capacity for "dialogue" is pretty dramatically limited.
Really, this isn't dialogue at all. There is a dominant narrative; it is Brian's.

Can you provide a link or is it $?
Sounds like dad is applying pressure. Wonder if Da'Shawn agrees? It's always possible (albeit very unlikely) for the kid to disagree with the parent. I'll be cautiously optimistic while I take my reality pills.

So football analysts and professionals are wrong, and MGoJoe is right....
I find this hard to believe. Maybe he's not coaching a WCO right now (I don't think he is either), but he is known primarily as a WCO guy.
