"Lincoln" rambler was outgoing Dean of LSA, Terrence MacDonald. The student speaker was pretty bland. Would you believe that I applied? My application was incredibly energetic and innovative...but they turned me down. Sucks. |

Is it the case, then, that she deserves to be sexually harassed for her article? If I'm being self-righteous, am I wrong that sexual harassment is wrong? |

Whether you like or dislike her article, do you think she should be sexually harassed for it? |
| 9 weeks 5 days ago | I see you missed the part |
I see you missed the part where I'm ashamed by the attitude that this can't be changed. Either that or you ignored it. |

Frankly, I don't know the game, but I can visualize at least one game this season where it happened. |
| 14 weeks 4 days ago | Are you suggesting that he is |
Are you suggesting that he is unfocused on his studies because he took a trip on Spring Break? I'm pretty sure that's what most privileged university students do. |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | Why should it be so weird? I |
Why should it be so weird? I happen to be a Michigan football fanatic, a flute player, a singer, a theatre major, a musical theatre lover, a man, and a heterosexual. Maybe it is weird as it is, but I thought "Leaders and Best" meant thinking of things that are "weird" as normal before everyone else does. I totally encourage this post and condemn fools who seem emasculated by the idea that fans of football and fans of musicals are not mutually exclusive. |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | Some "goddamn football" fans |
Some "goddamn football" fans like ballet and musicals. Why should they be unwelcome here? Take your gender normative nonsense back to the 1950s. Or you can go join the fools on the RCMB. Don't like musicals? Don't open the thread! |
| 24 weeks 6 days ago | Right now, we have 6 OTs on |
Right now, we have 6 OTs on the "New" board: They are about a musical, the MLB, gamers, Beanie Wells, someone needing prayers, and the NBA. I'm not sure how "gamers" are any more on-topic than "musicals." Are you and others also on those threads, berating the OP? |

Right...and it's marked OT as a part of "Everything else"...what am I missing? |
| 25 weeks 1 day ago | You're not worried about |
You're not worried about their defense, given that the three defenses you've mentioned held us to an average of less than 11 points per game? I think that is precisely what does worry me. I think this is a great match-up, but I certainly don't think this game is "not scary" because we've faced tough defenses already this season. |

You do know the guy on the right is a 2009 Michigan alum right? |

I see no coincidence in the fact that NIU was ranked exactly 16th. |

I know. I posted that comment before the edit. |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | To be fair, |
this is not real reporting, either. It's a projection based on the given outcome for Nebraska. |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | I doubt it. In Nebraska, |
I doubt it. In Nebraska, football is the only break thing between tilling the fields. I'm kidding, but I'm still a little serious. They are gracious fans: I expect they may be discouraged by last night, but will not abandon their team. And they'll do anything to get out of Nebraska for a few days. |
| 28 weeks 2 days ago | Nebraska travels insanely |
Nebraska travels insanely well. They are a great pick for any bowl, even in consecutive years. I'm certain Capital One will choose well. NU will not travel nearly as well. UM will also travel better than NU, so Outback will pick us, and NU will head to the Gator Bowl. |
| 29 weeks 1 day ago | I've heard people suggesting |
I've heard people suggesting we need a new O-Line coach, too. I don't know much about it. I've also heard that our guys were recruited for a RR offense, so their strength set is not what they're being asked to do by this staff. Maybe this OL coach would be good for those who've always done his style of OL but not for those who have a different skill set. |

| 29 weeks 5 days ago | And now you neglect the |
And now you neglect the mantra of high schools, colleges, and many parents: Do what you love. Be happy, be fulfilled, by doing what you love. If your love is unmarketable, whose fault now? My community never, ever stressed "marketable" majors. They never talked about who makes money. They only mentioned fulfillment and happiness. There was little consideration for the fact that a person is not defined by their chosen career path. The proper paradigm is to work in what you're good at and do what you love. But that is not how many kids are counseled in high school and even in college. |

Personally, I don't really buy Floyd's story, but it does open an interesting conversation which is the one I wanted to have here. |
| 29 weeks 6 days ago | This is a very easy argument |
This is a very easy argument to make when the entire nation isn't watching you every Saturday. But when they are, I imagine it's very easy to become wrapped up in it and let other things fall to the side. I had a class with a football player - who is presently on our team - who seemed intent on playing professionally, but he's not even a starter. And sure, a UM degree is worth something, but I think we're overstating the significance of the name. It's still hard for a humanities/social sciences major to find a job. Professional degrees? No problem. English majors? Sociology? Psychology? Not always so simple. |

Is it just me, or did that last play that gave them the 1st down and the opportunity to run the clock down look like a bad spot? Just sayin.... |

I'm happy to say I don't think it's actually about Air Force, and more about getting the chant out of Michigan Stadium. |

Important to note though that this does not include the possible money we'll get from the bowl payout. |

Yes, and also I have it on good authority from Rick Santorum that Obama is really ruining America. |

| 1 year 18 weeks ago | They lose some of the biggest |
They lose some of the biggest elements of their offense. Then they still have a killer defense. I think that MSU is on a bit of an upturn, but with our upturn coming up as well, I sincerely doubt it will be sustained. They thrive when we do not win the in-state recruiting battles. But we are doing that again. |
