Proves the conclusion of the study

How awesome is that?

Michigan approved

I believe only one person mentioned this in the comments but the U of M had a role in reviewing the experiment. Thanks again to those who responded honestly here.

Link to experiment Abstract.

The experiment had four parts in the following order, a demographic/behavior questionnaire, a personality assessment, the primary task (reading and evaluating 12 emails), and wrap up questions. The University of Michigan Institutional Review Board reviewed this experiment, including the consent procedure and determined that the study was exempt from review (the official waiver is provided in the Supporting Information as the S2 Appendix). However, except for the personality test, all components of the experiment had been approved by the University of Michigan Institutional Review Board for in-person experiments [6]. Both the questionnaire and the personality test provided individual difference variables to predict how the emails would be evaluated on the Housemate Scale.

I doubt it

I ran the idea by him earlier today and he actually thought it was a great idea.

While he did go to U of M and he's a big football fan he even warned me that you guys take this way too seriously. He was right!

The sad thing is the article hits the nail on the head. I am sure there are some great people on here but there is also a contingent of bona fide jerks. I came in thinking I'd probably get some flak but I didn't think I'd see this much animosity over a post.

I must admit I am grateful. I now have some good quotes and data for my analysis. Thank you! And I truly mean that.

And for the record, I am especially going to use your quote. It clearly and succinctly will make my point.

And that is what I wanted to see

Amazing how many on here are truly thin skinned jerks. My mission was accomplished as well as I see many took the bait.  It will serve the paper I am writing for my class well. Being the TA is a fan of this site, he'll be amused with my analysis of message board jerks!

Moses didn't have Michigan in his top 5

I have no proof but I get the feeling he is taking bids for his services.

Hello Attrition!

It will be interesting to see who goes.

Right

Tell that to all of the successful dyslexics that have existed through history.

Funny

Thanks. You aren't such a jerk!

Or maybe

A jerk in the closet.

Hitler didn't let anyone proof read his speeches

Because he disliked grammar nazi's himself.

Did he ever sing a song about THE Michigan wolverines?

If not, then I don't count him as a country music legend.

Need to recruit

Using the best Subs in the country. Feed them well and they will come.

Cracker Barrel

Isn't that racist and a place for white privilege to fester?

The only way to relieve the MD shortfall

Is to allow RNs to do more. I believe we will start to see this by the end of the decade if not sooner.

Thanks

+1 for posting this

Happy for him

Sad to see him leave but he now has a chance to live his dream to play in the NHL. Can't fault him for that. Next man up. And remember, Red and his staff helped him achieve his dream. What a great bunch of coaches.

Easy there

My post isn't a complaint or a rant so maybe you need to relax a bit yourself. I'm just stating what is obvious. We have heard a lot of hype before and I am only stating the superlatives should wait until this team actually shows it can dominate their rivals. That's all.

Interesting Rendition

Looks good to me. I think the school does have such plans but the question is whether or not it will do it. Thanks for the pic.

Now Now

Beilein is going to wait until after next year's season to join him.

We'll find out this fall

Monsters have to win on the field and win against thier toughest rivals. Michigan has yet to do this but I hope we see the monster emerge this fall.

If Michigan players are Warriors

then a black metal song would be apropos.

Like other, Doctors aren't always right

Many doctors do not keep up with latest medical news or are goverened by big Pharma and end up getting into a routine. If something comes along that is better, they won't always accept it because it means they need to change their routine. One example I have seen  of doctors ignoring advances is inhaled insulin. Many endos will not consider Afrezza because it is a change from the norm. Obviously there are other factors involved as well.

I get it that many doctors are overwhelmed today. Being a doctor today means having to deal with a crap load of paperwork and insurance headaches. Changes in health care law has made many doctors leave the field. We are seeing a shortage of docs now and it will continue to get worse. Maybe technology will help and maybe RNs will be able to do more than they are allowed to to help ease the coming problems.

Incorrect sir

Harbaugh is so efficient that he doesn't have to wipe. He's like a Dog with a Jackhammer!

The whole "fat is bad for you" argument was faulty

The medical community got this seriously wrong and it has affected a lot of people over many decades.

The stories that are needed

Is for some MSU fan to name his/her child Disrespekt, for him to change his name to disrespekt or to get a tatt of "disrespekt" on his arm or leg or across his neck. Now that would be a worthy while post!

Glad to see him getting another shot

Hopefully he'll prove himself with Marshall.

He should really get

He should get a Block M on his forehead.

Izzo is a very good coach

Unfortunately, he coaches at MSU and looks like a derranged guy who offers candy to children. How is that for disrepekt?!

Nope

Sorry, I am not. My apologies all around.

GG

Was a reckless punk rocker who got into trouble in Ann Arbor during a performance. He ended up ODing. And why is it that you'd neg me just because of an avatar. Are people that superficial on here? That's not what true Michigan men do.

Another possible future

there might also be a future for the gas engine as a generator and electric battery car as cars like the Honda Accord Hybrid have. Full electric might not survive if that's the case.

Until Battery tech comes in line with gas/diesel

Electric cars will be a toy for certain types. Petrol powered engines are still evolving and if technology increases their efficiency and emissions, electric cars will never gain a massive foothold. While VW has done a huge disservice for diesel, diesel had potential as diesel engines are efficient and have become much more cleaner. I'd take a diesel over electric any day. You get great torque, great mileage and no issues with changing weather. Electric cars do not perform as well in cold climates. And add that gas powered engines are getting closer to performance of diesels with turbo and supercharging among other advances. Also add the time to charge a car. Again, the tech isn't there yet. Now, there is also hydrogen. That tech has lagged unfortunately. Producing hydrogen isn't cheap and storage/delivery is an issue. Same with electric. You have to produce electricity and the cheapest form of it is from coal which is being driven out of business by those with an agenda. Clean energy is not efficient enough nor abundant. The misnamed "fossil fuel" shows evidence that the earth replenishes itself. It could possibly be that OIL is a renewable energy itself. The day is coming that we will see an efficient 3 or 4 cylinder block with sufficient boost that give power and efficiency with great gas mileage. Ford is selling in EU a 3 cylinder engine in the Focus.

That's awesome

They're serious ballers!

I hope he give a buckeye one of those

In fact, I hope someone from Michigan's team destroys a few Buckeye players in Columbus this year.

Webber will never apologize

And if he ever finishes that book he says he is writing, I'd bet he will reveal things in there that will further cement his persona non grata with the University. Chris is all about Chris.

August practices will separate the men from the boys

The next 4 months of S&C and private time practice will separate those who truly want to win vs those who are just there for a scholi. Hopefully we will see more guys wanting to be champions and compete for the starting position than we have seen in a long time.

Gotta put a hurting on Notre Dame

Glad to see the baseball team starting off well. now it's time to crush Notre Damn.

You'd get wasted too

If you pissed your career away like so many Buckeyes do.

I'm drinking a Samuel Adams in honor

of O'Maury Samuels.

O'Rly?

hmmm.....

Would be nice to see

but might see them on practice squads first.

You can take

You can take Sauce Castillo out of Sacramento but you can't take Sauce Castillo out of Nik. ...or something like that. Good to see Nik continue to bust his butt out there and make something happen.

Dancing with joy!

the kid is a mauler....and he has great hips (so say the college coaches)

He deserves it.

It is his time to show his ability to be a HC. He's done a darn good job at Michigan and deserves a shot at a HC job.

He should be thanking JH

Bert is a bastard for not publicly thanking Jim for the idea. His lard ass would have never thought of doing this had it not been for the Jim blazing the way for this type of thing.

The underdog in me

is really rooting for Malzone. I hope what ever injury he has is not serious and that he recovers quickly.

Nothing that a little duct tape can't fix.

Gotta love it

Should have said

No Talent Required (because I ruin it)

How many big 10 titles for Beilen in his tenure?

2 (1 was tied with another team). After that, if you look at how his teams have done in the conference, you see he hasn't done all that well. We all know he inherited a bad team but at this point you have to wonder whether or not he can keep up with other schools in getting any sort of talent and consistent play. And that's what has been lacking, consistent play.
