Our back up for the ceremony was the kerrytown concert hall (I'm pretty sure that is what it is called). It is a small venue but they said we could have squeezed in 100, which was our size.
Just an FYI - I Was able to buy MSU this morning at 10am EST without a problem.
Edit: they only reserve a ceratain number for each game for the liftime member on sale time/date and reserve the rest for the annual member on sale date. I remember this last year with the PSU night game.

Congrats! We got married in ann arbor in 2013 and did a ton of research on venues.
We ended up having our ceremony on Ingalls Mall (right next to Hill Auditorium where the bell tower is). They let alums use it for basically free.
We then had our reception at the Kerrytown Farmers Market. This was also pretty cheap to rent. You go through the parks and rec to reserve.
We had our friday night welcome dinner at Island Park, which was also great and cheap to reserve.
All these places let us bring in our own catering, which was great. The only downside was that Parks and Rec doesn't let you bring in hard liquor.
