Oh dude suck it If your team won the title with the same schedule, you'd be saying Spartan tears taste like [insert whatever beer you prefer here]. Remember that Outback Bowl you didn't deserve and said Spartan tears taste like Steak before you embarrassed yourself with another Harbaugh meltdown? If you think we don't respect your team, you're dead wrong. We remember the EL game, we remember you winning last year as an 8 seed. Congratulations for accomplishments. Let us enjoy our title.
Have you told a prospective buyer you have another buyer Without there actually being another buyer? Probably not, because you're a Michigan Man, but it happens all the time. Who's to say MSU was ever in the running at all?
You have proof, but you won't name the person So you have no proof at all, just the your word. I'll take your word, but how exactly does that pertain to UM student athlete grads?
They recognize both Both schools have 14 regular season titles, MSU 5 tourney titles, to Michigan's 1.
Why wouldn't we? First of all it would have been a Q1 loss at worst, and a Q1 win at best, both of which are better than Q3 wins. Secondly, I already posted proof the game would basically be a coin flip based on Massey. I know you hate Spartans, but come on. The facts are there in front of you. We have the talent to be a 1 seed but because of Delaney taking away a good non con opponent (Florida?) and replacing it with Houston Baptist, and giving us a weak B1G schedule, we're going to end up a 2 at best and maybe a 3. Set aside your personal hatred and look at the facts. Facts are, both schools are probably going to be Sweet 16 teams, and if you guys don't look past Nebraska, there's going to be a great matchup in the semifinals. Yes we had an easier road to the title, but still we won 8 road big 10 games. That's no small accomplishment.
Yes there's a banner www.landof10.com/michigan-state/michigan-state-basketball-2018-big-ten-…
Yeah You were better last year. I'm not going argue you weren't.
Actually https://www.masseyratings.com/game.php?s0=298892&t0=Michigan+State+Univ… It would have been a good game.
Mind I mean come on. He could buy and sell you right now if he was about the money. I mean if your mom was accused of something wouldn't that shake you? Besides, he did sink some high leverage free throws to help put down Wisconsin on the road (who has been playing very well at home lately).
Why? We aren't afraid of any team except possibly Duke because like Dantonio is in Harbaugh's head, K is in Izzo's head.
No But most student athletes are BGS students.
Yeah it sucks But I'm glad they're gone. It's not like your program has always been squeaky clean. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/University_of_Michigan_basketball_scand…

We get a banner We have as many regular season championships as you do.... in 30+ less years membership.
But I do know what it is Students seeking a vigorously student-centered curriculum might consider the Bachelor in General Studies (B.G.S.), a highly interdisciplinary degree that allows students to combine and explore multiple subjects. Students who choose to pursue a B.G.S. work closely with their Newnan Advising Center advisor to create a course plan that feeds their curiosity while meeting the College of LSA’s graduation requirements. Was he a student athlete? Because while UM has outstanding academics, General Studies isn't part of what make the academics outstanding. I'll freely admit in most situations, UM is the better academic school. But if you want to argue that the athletes are academic giants, that's a hill you probably die on.
Yeah that was foul by McQuaid But Miles was fouled and it led to a 3, so while the zebras were bad it didn't benefit either team.
Hollis isn't on the committee But yeah, he's a dbag I'm glad to see gone from MSU.
Yes I agree This outright championship would have been better if MSU played a harder schedule. But it's not possible to have 26 conference games. If you don't think MSU fans didn't want to have Purdue/OSU/UM on the schedule twice instead of once you're delusional. It killed us having to root for you guys to get to the 4/5 seed so we could prove we can beat you. You think we want to end up a 2 seed because of our shitty SOS? No, we wanted a tougher schedule but we got Delaneyed.
Hey UM is great academic school. But come on, the majority of the athletes that graduate from UM take General Studies and that's not a tough degree to earth. I have several UM alumni friends that I respect and for what field of study that went into, UM is a top 10 school. But let's not confuse the typical athlete's degree with the typical non athlete's degree.
Me either. I was hoping you guys would hold onto number 5 slot and we would win #1 seed just because it gives us another shot at you guys. You know how hard it was to root for you guys to beat OSU? I got sick to my stomach. But hey, the rematch is in sight, and I hope the best team wins.
Non zero Sure, but you could say that about literally every one of the 300+ teams in DIV 1. So while there's a non zero chance of vacating banners, it's also a very small chance.
Did that game help you win a conference title Because my team has the banner.
I'm not Bubba, but I'm other Spartan fan getting downvoted They aren't going anywhere. It's the same as if I asked you guys if Harbaugh is going anywhere.
Well then You should have no problem winning back to back Tourney titles, because my team is pretty good too.
I don't know what concern trolling is I'm a Spartan fan. I like the information this board provides, and once you sift through all the crappy posts, you find some quality posts and insights. I think you guys have good teams and I like when my team beats your team... What's to interpret here?

Right And you guys still have Walton Jr, and we had Jackson Jr last year.... Oh wait, it's almost like these are different teams.
The cloud, like all the UM athletes in General Studies will pass And no banners will be taken down. You guys should be happy for your successes, rather than the tribulations a school you don't consider a rival.
Sure It's not like Delaney gave us a chance in the regular season to avenge our loss. I mean if the situations were reversed you'd be arguing what I'm arguing. It's too bad we didn't get to play you guys in AA.
You realize facts upset the herd here, don't you? Anyway, barring another loss to Nebraska by Michigan this will be settled soon. Of course then, the Wolverines will be claiming we only won the tourney because we got the #1 seed through a cupcake schedule...
Come on Of all the schools, Michigan should know you play until the clock hits triple 0's. The fact MSU was able to overcome the 27 point deficit shows the ceiling of the team.
Get over it. You beat us fair and square, but judgement day is coming in the conference semis. If your team is truly better, you'll win at the neutral court with a chance to play for a banner of your own. FWIW, you reference Nebraska and PSU. We beat Nebraska by 29 and PSU by 8. Our worst loss is to you guys, and it happened during our worst week. Sure, I'll freely admit we got a break on the schedule, but we still had to win the games. We don't have the losses to bad or even pretty good teams. It took 16th or better (Kenpom, congratulations on making the top 16 of that metric - it's no small feat) team playing very well to hand us a loss. I hope our teams meet in the semis, and I hope the better teams wins. TL;DR 28-3 overall and 16-2 in B10 isn't easy no matter the schedule. Let's settle this at MSG. Go Green!

A.D. was asked flat out by Kyle Austin of MLive And the AD told the reporter cleared by the NCAA. There's no wordplay in this instance.
per kyle austin The NCAA greenlighted Bridges. Ayton is yellow lighted.
Doesn't that still make MSU a 1 seed? And don't get me started on the quadrant system.
because 8-5 is worse than the prior 5 year rolling average win loss record and he changed the system a little as well
imagine If MSU didn't have that 3-9 year weighing them down.... they would be top 5 possibly. Going to be a competitive year in the Big Ten. Fuck OSU

You sure you want to go there? MSU and OSU finished higher in final football polls, and are ahead in basketball polls.

That six other teams are national champs too Because Michigan went 8-5. Oh what a mess. Just give it to UCF.
I want it to be WWE Style After Georgia wins, I want Scott Frost to pull off a mask and run to Kirby Smart and challenge him for a title unification.
they do own a win over tosu
There are no subjective inputs In the win-loss matrix, listed here: http://atomicfootball.com/archive/CF_2017_BCSC.html
it's a ranking system "The Hybrid Rating consists of a simple linear combination of our Win-Loss Based Rating and our Score-Based Rating. The latter component uses only scores, schedule, and venue (home/away) data. The only subjective input is the relative weight given to the two components. Individually, the component ratings themselves have no subjective inputs. Note that we do not separately publish the Score-Based Rating, but it is the basis for our score and win predictions, and we hope at some point in the future to publish in complete detail the methods employed in generating them."
it means That the team ranked higher by the system won the game between the two teams x times in y games.
There already is incentive to schedule weak No P5 team with zero losses would ever get left out, unless somehow all P5 champs were undefeated. There number one metric the committee users is least amount of losses, which is why teams that don't qualify for a CCG get in (OSU, Bama). I don't see how you can reconcile that method and still allow Bama in when they avoided a second loss simply by being too shitty to be in the SEC CCG.
Record vs P5 + AAC opponents http://www.colleyrankings.com/curconf.html Which by the way doesn't include the 7-1 bowl season the conference had.
