So when/where is the basketball team going to be in Italy? Anyone know?

This is awesome! I'm so happy! I don't even know who he/she is! But everyone else is happy! Hooray!

So you're saying all UM needs to do to solve it's leadership issues is recover 85% of fumbles?
|1 day 14 hours ago||If something like this makes||
If something like this makes you hate living in this county, then I don't think there's anywhere in the world you'd be happy living.
|1 day 14 hours ago||I don't need to be in their||
I don't need to be in their brains because their actions showed their intentions. The fact the guy had a rare genetic disorder is completely irrelevent. If he was just a 'regular' dude with bad teeth and an overbite trying to look tough, he's still just some random guy who Shaq thought was ugly and mocked publicly on twitter to thousands of other sheeple who then followed suit. That's still an asshole move.
|1 day 15 hours ago||I don't think $25,000 is a||
I don't think $25,000 is a huge sum of money for Shaq. When I was in high school and trying to 'fit in', I made fun of a kid for something he had no control over. I felt really, really bad afterward. I apologized and I bought him Taco Bell. That's kind of what the plantiff seems to be asking for. Still, doubt he actually wins; probably hard to prove actual damages. The idealist in me wishes Shaq/Burke would have donated the money to charity or research for that condition without asking. Maybe they'll just settle it out of court with some money being donated or something.

It's fair to critcize/satirize what people say or believe in the public forum. It's not fair to do the same for what people are, or what they look like (yes, I do realize people can/will claim grey area between the two in certain cases). It's fair for Michelle Beadle to take Stephen Smith to satirize Stephen Smith on his comments/beliefs about 'provocation' in domestic violence. It's not fair for her to satirize him because he's black, or she doesn't like his face. For the record, I'm very much in the camp of erring on the side of offending, before going all Farhenheit 451 on society. But in this case specifically, man, I just think it's such an asshole move for Shaq/Burke to make fun of some random dude's face for millions to view in a public way.
Plus, satire is mock done with a purpose; to point out logical flaws or beliefs. Mocking the way someone looks accomplishes none of that. It's still just being as asshole.
|1 day 16 hours ago||Not necessarily. But bullies||
Not necessarily. But bullies should realize their wrong doing and make amends. And actions speak a lot louder than words. But bullies don't usually realize their wrong doings. Which is why we have other avenues available in society, such as the courts.

Making fun of a celebrity's drunken mistakes is satire. Taking a random picture off the internet of someone you don't know who is not a public figure and making fun of the way they look is not satire. It's being an asshole. I've never seen Colbert grab someone from the audience and make fun of the hairlip on TV.

I don't think you have an accurate picture of 50 years ago. And defemation suits have been around in the US before the US was even a country. But yeah, brawling in the streets is totally better for society.
|1 day 16 hours ago||Why the hell would you want||
Why the hell would you want to mock someone in the first place?
|1 day 16 hours ago||Maybe I'm missing something,||
Maybe I'm missing something, but how can he claim invasion of privacy when Shaq got the picture off of social media? Did he hack the plantiff's account or something? But either way, it's a pretty asshole move to mock anybody, even if they don't have a rare medical condition. If he's really only seeking like 25K, they should just pay it and apologize again.

I'll go 2009 Notre Dame. In retrospect, one crappy team beating another crappy team with a QB who utter flames out a year later. But man, at the time, the future was so bright. I still like watching the highlights because it reminds me of a time when hope was high and life worth living.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Yeah, if the OL can take a||
Yeah, if the OL can take a good step forward this year, then man, 2015 and 2016 looks like it could have monster OLs.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Agree. I'll extend that to||
Agree. I'll extend that to the team as a whole as well. Identify the best people early, and rep them so they develop more. We saw the same thing with the defensive secondary (mostly safeties) last year as well.
|1 day 18 hours ago||I think we're looking at a||
I think we're looking at a different projected starting line. I thought it looks like, Magnuson, Bosch, Glasgow, Kalis, Braden. That's RS So (3rd year), true So (2nd year), RS Junior (4th year), RS So (3rd year), RS So (3rd year). Compared to last year, there's more starting experience as a whole across the line, but with only one upperclassman, that's still a young line to me.
|1 day 18 hours ago||I really think the injuries||
I really think the injuries de-railed his career at Bama. He enrolled early, and I remember reading Bama people thought he looks really impressive in his spring game. It's just amazing that Bama can lose a National Player of the Year recruit, and not even blink about it.
|1 day 18 hours ago||Good to hear that Braden||
Good to hear that Braden finished spring at the top for the RT position. Hopefully he can hold onto it and he can start tapping that huge potential that comes with his frame/body type. I personally would like Glasgow at center this year, because identifying who's who on the D is incredibly critical to the zone blocking scheme, and the experience Glasgow has will be critical. As for a whole, while very young, at least eveyone except Braden has starting experience. So, yeah, I'll use that to bolster my hopes. What I really hope is that, unlike the last two years, the coaches can actually identify who will be best where early in the fall so everyone can rep a lot before the start of the season. Really don't want to see any switches/shuffling again.
|2 days 12 hours ago||Yeah, that was my first||
Yeah, that was my first thought about this 'plan'. All it would do is hurt good players who didn't get into trouble or anything, and also crank up profits for NFL teams all at the expense of young kids, who on a whole, aren't really that bad. It's just all around a stupid, stupid, stupid idea.

This article sounds like a NFL team owner wrote it.
"That 6-5 WR who runs a sub 4.4 fourty with hands of glue got caught with a beer when he was 19! Bwahahahaha, now I can draft him number 1 overall and only pay him 75k! Excellent..."

Just the Orlando Sentinal? I thought anyone with half a brain didn't like Urban.
|2 days 17 hours ago||Huh. I'm a bit surprised||
Huh. I'm a bit surprised that it was apparently a big enough issue that it needed to be addressed by the coaches. Hopefully Wellman took them on an early morning run to a Civil War battle field to help the team work through it.

Hey, is there an way to update my shipping address? Seeing as how they haven't shipped yet, and my moving to my first home, I figured I could skip the USPS mail forwarding? Is this possible?
|3 days 10 hours ago||Eh, Treadwell played the slot||
Eh, Treadwell played the slot for Ole Miss last year. He caught a lot of bubbles. A lot of bubbles he didn't turn into big plays. Which is why he averaged only 8.4 yards per catch, which is crazy low for a big time receiver. It was barely in the top 50 in the SEC. Sammy Watkins' freshman year he was not. This year he's moving to the outside receiver as well. So basically, I expect is number of catches to go down, while his ave yardage to increase. I mean he certainly has the build of a big time outside receiver. However, when comparing him to Funchess, I think Funchess has a better body of work, and I really don't think it's a given that he has a gaudier stat line in the end. But that's just, like, my opinion man.

The problem is that Thomas has never played with Brady as far as I know. How does Thomas know how Brady is in the huddle, or in the locker room, or in the classroom, and in the community?
