FWIW. Michigan doesn't seem inclined to get re-involved.

Haven't followed his recruitment, but that far in advance, that far away? I just don't count on those kind of commits sticking. Kind of like George Campbell.

Look at the crystal ball on 247. A bunch of peeps today predicted him to UM. This is probably not a coincidence.

So UM recruiting him as a WR? How is he as a CB? I have to think that a 6'2" CB if he's such a good athlete would be amazing.

Not according to Shaw'a view. He's of the thought that football is part of the education offered by the university. Showing up for football practice and games is equal to showing up for calculus, and just as important for learning to make a living. Thus it would be the same as paying anyone else to go to class. Do we pay every other student that does anything outside if sitting in a classroom that enriches their education? I think that's where Shaw is coming from.

I think your analogy about rich students doesn't match what Shaw was saying in the money quote you're highlighting. Shaw isn't saying money won't make you go to class. Shaw is saying you shouldn't be paid for going to class. You can argue points about whether a 'student-athlete' is really just a student like any other, which is fine. But your analogy just doesn't pass logic test to me.

Well PJ hill was 5'10" and about 220, so he wasn't exactly a fatty magoo. Of course we was about 240-250 his first year, and slimmed down to be a better RB.

Almost 250 with 27 percent body fat is...not ideal for a big time RB. Hope his hard work pays off in the fall.

Uhh, I think you might be the lunatic fringe that finds it acceptable to be a complete asshole and sexually harass others under the name of 'tradition'.

They got like 4 guys listed on the DL at 300+. OSU is full of fattymagoos who have to waddle around he field. Duh.

Depends. Is there a joint involved? If so, then HAMMER OF JUSTICE! If not, then, eh, they just made a 'mistake'. Hold out your wrist.
|3 days 15 hours ago||My analysis: Derrick Green is||
Derrick Green is going to be so fast at 220. The OL is finally going to be super strong with the general weight gains. With only one DL at 300+ that is not a freshman, I can confidently say UM will have the fastest, most athletic DL in the league. Same concept with the DBs, they're going to be super quick with those weights; will be hard to beat them with all that quickness.

See this is the kind of shit that happens when you let Ohio State exist. Hopefully someone will finally do something. Stupid politicians worrying about budgets, immigration, health care and all that other crap while they ignore the greatest scourge to out society: Ohio State. Time to wake up America!

I don't mind one bit. If a kid wants to get paid, let him. I'll still be watching UM, and hopefully more guys stick around for 4 years.

I think the answer is to reduce the salaries of of coaches, ADs, and administrators, and give the money to alumni who live in Tennessee. Don't ask me the specifics, the accountants will take care of it. Also double portions for the athletes at training table should appease them in this scenario.

Sure it does. A good politician will convince a voter to vote opposite of the voter's best interests if it is in the politician's best interest. The key is to make the voter 'feel' that voting a certain way is in their best interest even if it is not actually.

Read a statement from Europe's main pilot group/union that the route they were flying is the most travelled/popular route from Europe to Kuala Lumpur or something like that. It's hardly an isolated decision by the captain. Lufthansa and Air France just released statements they won't be flying that route anymore.
