I wish I had realized this before

You're completely correct.  The shortcomings of the last few years' defenses were due to entirely too many athletic white dudes and tough tough black dudes.  BRILLIANT!

Yeah, I dunno

That's a good point.  I'm not at all familiar with the specifics of the supplemental draft.  I was just pointing out the fact that OSU's declaration of his collegiate ineligibility would not necessarily be an admission of improper benefits.

Wouldn't retaining an agent make him ineligible?

I would assume he will have an agent going into the supplemental draft, which would make him ineligible.  OSU would have to declare him ineligible in that instance, correct?

I think

Oops. Double post.

I think

He's confused about the 25 scholarship/year limit (which can be fudged with early enrollees) and the 85 scholarship max.

Meeechigan!

Cory Zirbel

I believe Cory Zirbel was given a medical scholarship when he injured his knee in 2008.

The QB competition won't be decided until fall Denard looked impressive today, but the fact that he was playing with the 1's versus the 2's has to be considered. Also, Tate was playing on an ankle that isn't 100% against the 1st string defense. I don't think today's performance tells us much about who will be the starter this fall except that Denard is a legitimate option, which we've heard from several sources already. It wouldn't surprise me to see either of them start against UCONN. The QB battle will not be decided until fall camp, and probably won't be announced before game time. I'm pretty confident that QB play will be improved after seeing today's scrimmage, regardless of who the starter is.
Haven't tried this I'll have to look for it. It's distilled a few miles from where I live, but surprisingly some of the small batches are hard to find even though they're made here.
This just replaced "The Theme From Shaft" as the soundtrack to my life.
If you're concerned about If you're concerned about supporting Makers Mark this may interest you: Knob Creek is distilled by Jim Beam (Fortune Brands), who bought Makers Mark about 5 years ago. The Kentucky bourbon industry is very incestuous [insert Ohio/Columbus/Boren joke here- I shouldn't because I live in Kentucky]. My advice- drink what you like and don't worry about an advertising decision made by executives who know nothing about making bourbon. Besides, there are much better bourbons that aren't made by Beam Global/Fortune Brands. Try Bulleit, Woodford Reserve, or Corner Creek Reserve if you want a good non-Beam product.
