Can you call them 'donors'…

Can you call them 'donors' still?  Wouldn't investors or employers be more accurate?

This and another classic.

This and another classic.

We are in the Ass Kicking business and business is BOOMING!

crystalizing many of my…

crystalizing many of my feels into words that will last a lifetime.

Greatly appreciated.

I noticed 4 or 5 spots that…

I noticed 4 or 5 spots that were pro bama.  Went back,  froze it and yeah.   Could be a knee or elbow was down early that I didn't see.  But seemed consistent that 2nd and 2 wound up being a long 3 or a short 1

The laugh at the end is…

The laugh at the end is priceless.

Except suspending Day might…

Except suspending Day might be helpful for at least one of those games.

Get Masks made up with Coach…

Get Masks made up with Coach Harbaugh's best grin for everyone, staff, players, coaches, the waterboys for ceremony.  When the announcer calls coach to get the trophy, the players step forward and yells "I AM HARBAUGH!!" for a good long time.

They will not be handed…

They will not be handed anything.  They will rip it out of Lil Tony's mangled fingers after Jim gives him a fully weaponized handshake and soul sucking stare.

The surviving Hawkeyes will be in the corner pleading for mercy, a quality Wolveri es are well known for.

I can't see this team doing anything but handling their business.  The ass kicking business.

Bama, Georgia, Texas, and…

Bama, Georgia, Texas, and osu - any of the osu's are better than FSU right now.

We don't know what we don't…

We don't know what we don't know.

Rage, betrayal, confusion, more rage....  Felt by us, you know.  As much as 'We' feel like this is our loss, it isn't.  We don't have moral high ground here as we did break rules.  Our argument is that the punishment was too swift, too draconian, and not fair.  It was all of those things, but this level of whining is beneath who we think we are.  Find some steel for the spine, Shut up and glare at whoever brings this up like it is just one more nuisance, immaterial, like MSU.

Coach Harbaugh, the team, and football staff are and have been appreciated and Coach specifically will be rewarded with the best contract in the conference.  Vindication will be ultimate when he takes the trophy from the little tyrant.

I know this is unsatisfying to many, but we don't know how much energy, focus, and time the legal fight is diverting from "Just win the damn game."

Checks calendar.  Yes, it is…

Checks calendar.  Yes, it is November.

Don't get hurt.

Go Blue.

And then keeps winning…

And then keeps winning because the sideline is Heaven to Harbaughs.

I think it would be an…

I think it would be an appropriate solution to quiet the B1G programs to implement the helmet communications and make Michigan pay for it for everyone as the 'penalty' of 'signalgate.' Everybody gets a small win.

Put this thing to bed.

Love the passion. But,  I am reminded that one does not teach a pig a lesson by jumping in the pig pen and wrestling.

Just enjoy the bacon when it's cooked.

1 BS unsportsmanlike

1 super excited young fella taking off a couple seconds early.

I disagree with nothing you…

I disagree with nothing you said.  As I said previously, my experience is in the rare disease space.

I understand that the economics and return on investment may favor the treatment of chronic and prevalent conditions.   However, there is significant investment in other areas also.  I lament the competition for talent and capital, but that is far from the position that pharma is keeping us sick.

The system is deeply flawed, but ascribing malevolence to the entire industry is nonsense.

Think of this for a moment.  The value of a 'fast track' pass to expedite regulatory review is worth hundreds of millions of dollars.  There should be enough capacity to get any treatment that might help treat or cure timely.  Instead, the price to play that game is ghastly.   I suspect that the exorbitant cost of new drug development drives choices to unfavorable results too often.

And now on to football.    GO BLUE

Odd thing.  There is such a…

Odd thing.  There is such a thing as type 1.5  and other variants that make one insulin resistant as well as unable to produce.   Some people are truly blessed.

Metformin and shitting is a known thing.  Often gets less of a problem over time and strict adherence to regime, but it would have to worth it to live that way.

As a type 1, you also know…

As a type 1, you also know that your diabetes is very different from type 2.  Regarding type 2, all of the things said are demonstrably true.  Given that type 2 accounts for upwards of 90% of diabetes,  the point is absolutely spot on.  The issue you have is diabetes is the common name for both and your experience as someone with the rare one does not invalidate the truth for the vast majority.

You have moved from random…

You have moved from random nut job into truly despicable human territory with that.

You can point out the system sucks, the regulatory process is corrupt, and the there are pharmaceutical companies that have done bad things.  I will agree and provide testimony to that.

But, and I say this with personal knowledge of drug development in rare diseases, wanting to treat/cure/help is the driving force for most people in the field.

Money will always be a factor, but to suggest pharmaceutical companies and people intentionally withhold cures is offensive and idiotic.

Both people had made bad…

Both people had made bad decisions.  It seems that Tracy absolutely played up the 'there is more than a professional opportunity' for Tucker in hopes to further her business.  He could not resist the pull of what he thought was 'a damaged woman who just needed a good man'   That might have been part of Tracy's pitch, but he leapt into the fire with enthusiasm.  There are no heroes here.  Tucker humiliated MSU and Tracy is shown to be someone I would not want to ever be associated with.

They got into a shit throwing contest and are now covered with shit.  That being said, I am still intrigued by how the misogynist vs racist 'themes' are going to surface when likely neither has any relevance in this matter.

I have gone to other B1G…

I have gone to other B1G stadiums.  Three things will greatly mitigate the problems.  1.  Don't be a dick.  2. Pay for better seats.  Generally by a better group of people who care about getting kicked out of the stadium.  3.  Be nice.  While this generally falls into the "Don't be a dick", specifically find some people and be nice.  Say "hello".  Recognize the pain of their fan experience as similar to BPONE, etc.  This also helps your kids and maybe MSU fans realized we are not all monsters and this is just a game.

Strategy above worked perfectly one of the times I was on the threshold of a fight with an unruly fan in Minnesota.  It was the Navarre Throwback screen game.  Emotions were high and they thought they had a chance.  One asshole took the opportunity to get mouthy for a while.  When the game turned in our favor, my wife and I were smiling... broadly and this guy crossed a line.  As I was going to 'discuss the matter like gentlemen'.... the group of Minnesota fans I had been talking with intervened, got security, and had that guy tossed.

That is not 'throwing under…

That is not 'throwing under the bus.'  That is a polite and deft deflection.

Throwing under the bus would be: "We have wide receivers on this team.  I introduce them to Brian each practice.  It is like he has some brain damage or something that prevents him from remembering that we can throw the ball downfield.  Perhaps he was scarred as a child by watching receivers catching passes and getting first downs.  Maybe some kind of PTSD. "

Good morning,

No.  Do not…

Good morning,

No.  Do not sell your car to buy football tickets.

You have some worries and doubts about spending what will be a hefty sum.  However, you are trying to know the unknowable.  Instead, enjoy the build up, the anticipation, the entire spectacle, and hope for a victory so you can enjoy the aftermath where you can say "I was there."  If there isn't a victory, the pain will fade into the morass of other disappointments, but you can still say "I was there."

You will have a great time or a great story.  But spend only money you can afford on tickets.

Jesus.  That would be gold. …

Jesus.  That would be gold.  I would drop 20 bucks right now to watch that.

The Minnesota TD catch was…

The Minnesota TD catch was amazing.  It may be the only Touchdown they score this year, but it was a work of art.

Just got back from dropping…

Just got back from dropping daughter off at Grand Valley State university.   That was a very well run show.  At no point have I seen anything close to that level of coordination/efficiency in Ann Arbor.

Great experience, except for the part where I LEFT MY DAUGHTER!  I know, I know, circle of life...this was the plan... but still, it felt like the cold claws of Hell griping my heart.

beware, PF Chang's soak…

beware, PF Chang's soak their beef in buttermilk for some dishes.  My kid also has a dairy allergy and this came as a nasty surprise.

As a person who uses those…

As a person who uses those wheelchair seats if I go with my son . . .  Don't buy them if you or your party doesn't need one.

I lived in Minneapolis and attended games at that stadium.  Nice place filled with nice people.  I promise you there will be tickets available for purchase that don't involve taking an opportunity away from someone that needs those spots.

Again, I know those fans.  If you are not a jerk, you will likely find them not only polite, but downright friendly.

Well, except for the Navarre throwback pass game.  One guy who actually thought the gophers could win got nasty.  I was striding to him to knock his drunk ass out when the rest of the fans grabbed him, took him to security and had him tossed out for me.  Really nice people there, for the most part.

Having a critical approach…

Having a critical approach to any denial of wrong doing is appropriate in this case.

That being said, a group of professional, third party witch hunters, interviewed 50 people and came up with nothing specific. There was support of the original whistle blowers claim, which is ambiguous at best.

Two week suspension at this time is a sign that although they found nothing meaningful, they didn't find sufficient safeguards to prevent hazing.

congrats to you all.

congrats to you all.

I like the players they got…

I like the players they got.  Moreover, I like that the Lions like the players they got.

That being said, Get the Pitt DT or Mazi at 12, Campbell at 18, and Gibbs would most likely still be there at 34.  The DT is needed piece of the current defense.  Campbell is guy that will make a world of difference for years.  (Corum made a lot of people lot bad on a play or two.)  Gibbs will be the Swift we wish swift was or better, but drafting a future RB was not as important as a high level DT for this season.

Absolutely a terrible…

Absolutely a terrible situation.

The University, City, Title IX, and rest did what they should do 'by the book."  That book also has the presumption of innocence as a core principle.  Not sure there is a happy ending, but there are limits on what can be done without any proof, supporting testimony, or corroboration.  Her friend stated that she didn't see any crime committed.

Coach is extremely limited in what they can do for fear of "interfering" in the investigation or influencing the outcome.  Two different calls, engagement along the way, read Quinn's speech to them.  While the alleged perpetrator was no longer at the University, the sour ending of the article is that players that were not accused of rape, presumably with the friend who didn't see a crime, were allowed to play after significant interventions.

So many things are wrong here, but I can't say that University, Police, or prosecutor's office did anything wrong.  The untreated depression and escalating drug use are also terrible.

Dogs!  You had Dogs?  Our sleds were lunch room trays pulled by hungry Gerbils.

Lived in the Fetch in late…

Lived in the Fetch in late 80's when it transitioned from all male to co-ed.  And again in the early 90's, where I met my wife.  Awesome place to live.  Those Saturday morning when the damn band started playing at Oh My God it's early o'clock were another matter.  Don't get me wrong.  I love the band at civilized hours.

There are a number of…

There are a number of exceptions following that broad claim of entitlement.

The point remains that the general public does not have cause to know the specifics of which email accounts were accessed.  Involved parties would have cause.  I believe the public might have cause to know that there was notification to show the harm was mitigated, but that is a stretch.  The Weiss legal team would have interest to details to show that the termination was fair and not an abuse of power, but it seems that he threw that towel in early.

Getting the details to satisfy curiosity or sate a need to further vilify Mr. Wiess does not outweigh the potential additional harm done to the victims who had their email accounts accessed or the recipients of those emails.

Done.  Heart goes out to that family.

Got a letter from Jared also.  Director of Football operations I believe.  That letter was special and speaks to what matters.

To a friend and good guy at…

To a friend and good guy at work.  Sent him this email;

Just wanted to say Hi and hope your weekend was calm and relaxing.  I know that I had 45 reasons to be thankful.

😊

His response was "Damn you that was good."  In context of a friendship.  Random dudes I let walk on by in a misery I recall all too well.

They are working hard. …

They are working hard.  Great game so far.

My daughter just finished…

My daughter just finished her senior season.  7 years playing wrapped up and Season's End Banquet was last night.  Lots of memories and appreciate all the sport has given her and us.

Side note, to all the fathers of Field Hockey players.  Buy a stick, learn to play.  100% awesome to do with your daughter.

We go to most UM home Field Hockey games.  Great team, great venue, and experience that rivals almost any football game I have been to at Michigan.

Yes.  Right > Right Now. …

Yes.  Right > Right Now.  The right words have been said by Mel Tucker and their President.  Right words don't mean a lot from MSU given their history.  That being said, taking a couple moments to be thorough, sure, and purposeful is ok by me.  They are deciding who they are in this moment and I would rather that happen rationally instead in appeasement to the internet rage machine.  I might give them until Thursday night.

The thing that still has me pissed is the MSU Staff guy that is standing next to number 4, sees the punches fly, then runs away to stand in front of the camera.  That guy is devoid of character and should be skewered.

Well, as a staff member of…

Well, as a staff member of Football Operations,  he would know the caliber and character of the Spartan players.  It would take a second for me to charge into a pack of wild dogs to save a child.  And then I would anyway.  He is in a role that must be expected to protect student.  And I don't mean protect them from prosecution.

They had an Offensive…

They had an Offensive coordinator?

100% correct.  However,…

100% correct.  However, anyone directly employed by the University, who is a medical provider, might be constrained.  It would be something for experts to sort out if the HIPAA rules applied to Michigan personnel since I am certain there were Michigan medical professionals that were engaged in the incident.

Beyond the 'Can they?' question, is "does Mike Hart want them to?"  An event like that can be a massive blow to ones worldview and may take some real time to know anything more concrete than "He is awake and talking."

I really want coach Hart to be ok and am good with my 'need to know' being well down the list of concerns.

Your approach seems off in…

Your approach seems off in terms of tone and logic.  Given, it is a message board on the internet.  However,  "lifetime educator" is sufficient credibility for me.  It also synchs with what I already believed, so potential bias, but family of educators have that opinion also.

Well, moved out of Msp 6…

Well, moved out of Msp 6 years ago.  The Silver Butter Knife steak place on 2nd is cool as is first avenue.  Manny's is world class steak, but pricy.

Get a juicy lucy from Matts .  Entertain no alternatives.

Just do everything before dark.  I hear from friends that still work downtown.  Don't get caught there after dark.

Rock bottom brewery is a fine place and 1st avenue if music is your thing.

My sister moved to Knoxville…

My sister moved to Knoxville a decade ago.  Have other friends there also.  It does not fit the stereotype of 'southern cities' held by most northerners.  I found it to be friendly, modern, and what you expect from a city with a major university.  Driving if there was a hint of snow is not recommended, but by and large highly positive thoughts.

My sister would not move back without some seriously compelling reasons.  We grew up in West Michigan.  My nephews a little older and are thriving with so many close connections within the community.
