Which schools has he visited? I thought only UM, MSU and OSU. It looks like he is visiting bama this weekend and Florida the next. Has he visited FSU or LSU yet? The Army bowl is January 4th, and I can't see him committing to a school he hasn't visited

Tirico would also still be doing MNF, college bball, NBA, Golf as well as some tennis and ESPN personality show fill-ins. I am sure 13-14 saturdays wouldn't be too much or too little for him, especailly since 7-8 would be spent in his hometown.

Honestly, I think this is a reflection of a Hoke coached team. He prides himself to staying even keeled during games, never too high or too low. Honestly, I think this hurts a team like this. Sometimes a coach just needs to lose it and light a fire under his team's asses. Hoke won't do that. It is always the same rah rah, it's ok bs. Even his press conferences are terrible. "We had a good week in practice and I need to coach better." Get pissed! Show everyone that this won't continue. Stop playing players that aren't performing just because they are a senior, or a leader, or becasue they have experience (looking at you Fitz). Would a guy like Saban or Belichek do this? Hell no! You fumble, you sit the bench. You continue to fail at picking up pass protection, you sit the bench. You can't hit the hole without dancing around in the backfield, you sit the bench. Send a clear message that mediocrity won't stand. Otherwise, your players will mimic you and always play to the "Ho hum, it's ok. Good try" mentality that their coach displays. He reminds me of Carr, but even Carr would lose his shit from time to time on the sidelines. If he doesn't begin to show more intensity, I can't see his team doing it either.

Right, just like how Staee never is close to us when it comes to recruiting, but has beat us 5 out of the last 6 meetings. I understand what you are getting at, but not always true.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Keisean Lucier-South||
Any word on Keisean Lucier-South? I seem to remember him being really high on UM, but not receiving an offer. I didn't see him included on the list Magnus has posted on his site. Is there not mutual interest, or has he moved on from UM since he didn't receive an offer? I know they are waiting on Cornell, but it seems silly to not offer a top 70 player, especially since they missed out on Hand. Even with limited scholarships, I would think the staff would have a few offers out there to top talent and still hold out for a top 10 player if the interest is there later on.

And Minnesota, especially since we beat them 42-13.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Briles||
Word is Briles has several connections in Texas (being a very respected former HS coach) and that he would stay at Baylor, or at worse wouldn't leave Texas. I think while his style would have great success here, he knows he can continue to pull top flight talent in Texas and keep them close to home. I cian't see him ever leaving that state. Also, Mattison only returned to UM because of Hoke (or so he says) but given his age and loyalty to Brady, I see no chance of him staying if they canned his friend.
|3 weeks 4 days ago||Line||
Honestly, unless the coaches have just given up and see no chance at further progression, I would like to see them change back to the line we started with to start the season. Maybe they think that Miller has hit his ceiling and they would rather develop the young guys for the future, but as bad as the Glasgow, Miller, Kalis line was to start, it has become much worse, not better since they made the multiple changes week after week. Maybe I am crazy, and I didn't think the interior line could become worse than the beginning of the year, but Funk and Co proved me wrong.

Thank you for helping to put all of this football nonsense further into perspective. I came to the board to see how bad everything had become today, and happened to open your post. I know everyone uses football as an outlet from the real world, but sometimes it seems to trump real life and consume them. Stories like this quickly change that. I hope nothing but the best for you and your family. My thoughts are with you. Go Blue seems far to trivial. Instead, GO MRS. BALL HAWK!!!
|12 weeks 4 days ago||Not True||
This is not true. They can receive up to 3 tickets. Here is a statement straight from MGOBLUE.com.
During an unofficial visit, the University of Michigan may not pay any expense or provide any entertainment except a maximum of three complimentary admissions (issued only through a pass list) to a home athletics event in which a Michigan team practices or competes. These complimentary admissions are for the issued on an individual-game basis. Additional tickets may not be reserved for purchase by the prospect and must be purchased only in the same manner as any other member of the general public. In addition, only seating in the general seating area may be provided. The University of Michigan may not provide special seating for the prospect or the prospect's parents [or legal guardian(s)] or spouse in the facility's press box, special seating boxes) or bench area.

I went to several games with recruits and we usually had seats within the first ten rows behind the UM bench. It is awesome to be so close to the players, but I would prefer to be about 35 rows up to get a better view of the field. Still amazing seats, though.

My guess is that the name Dennis just sounds like a guy from Wisconsin, so they are just calling him on it.

24/7 has him listed for an unofficial for UTL II. That recruiting weekend is going to be insane!
|17 weeks 5 days ago||Canzior||
If I recall, Canzior is a coach that traveled with Hand on his visit to UM. I think he has some good insight into the top players in this area and is probably not just insuating anything, but stating truths. I believe the camp in Chicago was the Rivals 5* camp and I think that players are helped out with costs for these camps, but I am not certain about that. Otherwise, he didn't do much traveling for visits. I am surprised at the number of officials many of these players take and the distance traveled. It always makes me wonder how it is affordable, seeing how some of these kids are not from the best areas and have stated as much.

|28 weeks 4 days ago||So Miss||
Gundy banned Lunt from going to So. Miss because OSU's old O-Coordinator is now thier coach. A lot of coaches do this because the kid was supposed to commit to the program, and not one particular coach.
|30 weeks 4 days ago||2015||
Don't we technically have a 2015 commit in Brady Pallante? I don't see how we will have an available scholarship this year the way the class is filling up.

Would love to see it, but I'm not sure Robinson can have that many visitors in a week, yet alone a day.
|37 weeks 3 days ago||Question about Gardner and coaching time||
Hoke said that Gardner is watching a ton of film and meeting with Al a lot. My question is, how is this counted towards coachable hours? Coaches can only be with players for 20 hours per week, and I am not quite sure about meeting with them outside of practice. If Al and Devin are watching film together outside of practice time, is this counted as coached hours? Everything I see only talks about the 20 hours that coaches can use of players time, but doesn't talk about any other meetings with players on their own time. I know during stretchgate, there was a lot of confusion about what is and isn't counted, and it focused a lot on stretching with coaches present. So is this the same with a player constantly calling a coach and watching film with him, or how is that viewed?

The bumblebee man always has something bad happening to him. I thought he was referencing the AIRBHG.

As long as it wasn't cream cheese for a bagel, we should be in the clear as far as the NCAA is concerned.

Pretty sure the Cavs are all set with Kyrie Irving, too. That kid is going to be a stud for years if he can stay healthy.
|41 weeks 3 days ago||20||
If the B1G goes to 20, the name still applies. It would be the 2 Big Ten Divisions. Maybe this is why they didn't give up on the name. They knew it would be relevant again soon enough.
|41 weeks 3 days ago||Right on||
This is right on. NC State is the school that would be tied to UNC in the eyes of the legislature. Howeva, if the dominoe's fall, I could really see VT, who is most likely the SEC's top target (along with UNC) and NC State heading to the SEC without much fuss from the NC legislature. The same would be true for VT and UVA as the state gov't would be fine with them both landing in top conferences. This would also be nice for the SEC, as they could move MIZZOU to the SEC West and VT and NC State to the East.
Even with no Gov't pressue to add Duke, it still might make sense. If the goal is to stay at 16, then UNC and GT should be the choices for TV sets and markets. NC and Atlanta are big markets, and this makes sense. If the goal is to go to 20 teams, then we might as well add Duke, along with UVA. If the ACC crumbles like this, that would make Syracuse available as well, so we would just need 1 more to make 20. Would we take a look at Kansas? They would suck as a football addition, but help with b-ball. ND would once again make sense, but I think that ship has sailed for good. There may not be any other good options that are AAU schools and relatively close to the midwest/eastern footprint.
I think if the ACC falls apart, FSU and Clemson will join the Big 12. I also think that ND will have some affiliation with the Big 12 as well. VT and NC State head to the SEC. The B1G would have 16-20 teams, but I don't see every conference getting that big. There isn't enough of a draw. Would the Pac 12 really add Boise St, SDSU, Nevada and BYU to get to 16? Doubtfull, as all it does is water down the conference. Same with the Big 12 and SEC, as there just wouldn't be enough viable candidates to join. Wake Forest isn't going to make anyone happy. Still a long way to go before any of this happens, but if UNC jumps, everyone better find a landing place before the ACC ship goes down.
|41 weeks 3 days ago||Florida||
There is no chance that Florida leaves the SEC. NONE! Florida St. on the other hand may soon be available. Howeva, I see FSU, Clemson, ND and other ACC leftovers heading to the Big 12 when it is said and done. If the B1G goes 16, we know UNC, UVA and GT are the options. Beyond that, you would have to look at Syracuse, Duke, and FSU. It helps with the NY market adding Syracuse, Duke maintains one of the greatest CBB rivalries, and FSU brings even more of the south, a great market, and great recruiting. I don't ever see FSU joining the B1G, but it would be nice if 20 is where we are headed. I just don't know if I see that happening, because the PAC 12 would need to add some shitty teams to get to 20.
