Yeah anyone blaming Evan on that loss is clueless. We lost that game much earlier with missed layups and bunnies and an Ohio team playing out of its mind. Not Evans fault. I was pissed at him initially for that crossover, but once I took a breath I was reminded it's not on him.
I know losing Smots will hurt as he was going to get more time next year. But I always felt with Evan that he could have offered so much more. Its something that always bugged me. At times he looked lost, out of position, etc. He seemed to play with a lack of confidence and was often timid. Hopefully he finds what he's looking for.

Today's NBA is so tough to love. And I struggle to understand why. Is it a generational thing? Its it a media thing? Is it a greed thing? I just can't put my finger on it. Back in the day, guys played the game because they loved it and they were good at it. There was true passion, true hatred, true love of team. The things that exist in todays NBA surely existed back then too, greed, jealousy, selfishness, I'm taking my talents to.. etc., but they were more hidden and behind the scenes, not in our faces everyday. I tend to lean towards the belief that these qualities have overshadowed The Game and drive the media machine, which in turn drives the fans impressions of the current NBA.
I'm drinking all the Kool-Aid, at 5pm I had a giant Happy PItcher run through my office wall! And in April of 2013 I hope I'm drinking Champagne! If not sooner!

How dare you let the handlings of this football team effect your viewpoint of this University has a whole, this magical place. I love this University and I love this football team. Am I happy about the last 3 yrs, the divisions, the losing, the rollercoaster ride we all have been on? No. But I have never let any feelings effect my love of MICHIGAN.
I go back to Bo, no one individual is more important than The Team. The Team, The Team, The Team. Substitute "individual" with "Department" and "The Team" with "The University" and you have how you should look at this. Obviously Football is huge it drives the University. But there is so much more. This University gave me my degree, my best friends, my passion for UofM, the best times of my life and most importantly, Mott Children's Hospital saved my son's life twice. Open heart surgery at 5 days old by the best heart surgeons in the world. I will love this university until the day I die. It has given me more than I can EVER ask of it and I will defend it forever.
Don't let the business end of Football take you away from this magical place. You'll regret it and I cannot fathom I'm writing this to an alum. I'm truly disappointed.

BUT what went on on that field today was DISGUSTING in terms of sportsmanship and integrity. A disgrace to this rivalry and to this conference. Dantonio Gholston and the any other cheap shot artist wearing the green and bronze were classless today.

We'll hey if a little Jackson hyperbole is not your fancy you could always tune to Valenti who had the gull to just spit out that only two of Michigan's recruits could play for MSU.
I guess that sounds about right, only two of like 22 will have bad grades, binge drink, beat up students and be all round a-holes!

I've seen his offseason workouts his personal trainer is a busty blond and likes to hold workouts on boats and down in Mexico, usually involving many reps of lift, tip, drink. It's MTV's the GRIND, Stafford style!
I'll miss some of the excitement too BUT I'll gladly welcome back a predictable and pre-historic offense if it gets Michigan BigTen Titles, a National Championship and a 3 pts away from another shot at the Crystal Football. I doubt thought that it will be that drastic. I think it will be a nice combo meal of prehistoric/historic/and futuristic!

My son was born with a congenital heart defect, transposition of the great arteries, and survival flighted to Mott where he had open heart surgery at 5 days old, at almost 2 yrs old he's doing great today. He had amazing care by THE BEST doctors and surgeons in the world. I owe Michigan and Mott for saving my son's life, twice. Best of luck to you and your family during this tough time, hang in there!
