One of my biggest questions from the Every Snap Defense....
Why does Glasgow play so much? Such a non-factor on the field and often looks like he turns away from the play... Dont get it.

Actually think it looks pretty cool, but I would imagine that it would be extremely hot on the playing surface?
|9 weeks 3 days ago||Maybe it is just by chance||
Maybe it is just by chance that we are not seeing any of his good reps, but Glasgow has never stood out in any practice footage, michigan drills, games, etc....
I think we have great depth at the position, and it will be rotated heavily, but I just haven't seen anything that indicates he is an impact player. Maybe he can get a good push to free up our LBs, but I dont see him beating double teams or one on ones for that matter. Doesnt seem like a quick twitch guy like Pipkins/Hurst.

I actually really like them... haha
I get that it is a little unconventional, but I think they will actually look awesome on the field. When the whole team runs out of the tunnel, I think it will be awesome.

Breakfast Stout is absolutely outstanding. Their Russian Imperial Stout is also truly wonderful.
For Founders, the list truly goes on and on.

Kuhnhenn also makes some absolutely phenomenal beer if you can get your hands on it.
Jolly Pumpkin makes some amazing sours that are highly regarded everywhere. Bars all over the Bay Area carry Jolly Pumpkin on their special bottle lists.
Oddside really makes some really good stuff in my opinion, and their citra pale ale should be a go-to for any beginners at Ashley's (or anyone who likes good beer for that matter). They did an IPA for Ashley's last year called 'Government Shutdown,' and it was awesome.
Right Brain in Traverse City makes some good stuff. I liked Second Coming DIPA and CEO Stout.
New Holland, Arcadia, Atwater, Griffin Claw are all sort of blah. I think they all make some okay stuff, but I don't think any of their brews are great.

If anyone cares, here is my general opinion on a lot of the MI Breweries... As you may be able to tell, I have a serious affliction when it comes to good beer.
Founders: Have some of the most highly regarded beer in the Midwest when it comes to their limited releases but also have consistency from top to bottom.
Bells: Still makes a bunch of good beer, but I think their expansion efforts have hurt the quality of the beer. However, I still think Two-Hearted is one of the best American IPAs in the country. Their entire IPA lineup is really good. Try: Two-Hearted, the Oracle, Hopsolution, and Hopslam.
Darkhorse: Has a fairly limited lineup of beers. I dont think they make any bad beers, but outside of Plead the Fifth, I wouldn't call anything amazing. Although, if you like Dirty Bastard, try Scotty Karate. It is very, very good.
Shorts: Shorts does an amazing job of releasing new beers at a torrid pace. They have seasonal, limited release brews that are all pretty good/interesting. This year, I really enjoyed Freedom of '78 IPA.
Greenbush: I think this is one of the more undderrated breweries in MI. I really enjoy their Brother Benjamin DIPA and a slew of other beers.
Perrin: Outside of Founders, I think Perrin makes the best beer in the state overall. However, their distribution is awful, and you can't get the stuff anywhere. Their raspberry beer is phenomenal.
These are obviously just a small, small number of Michigan breweries, but they were the first that came to mind.

I actually think Founders is the best brewery in Michigan...
Here is a brief list of things by Founders that will (most likely) change your opinion:
These are some of their more "specialty brews" that are very highly regarded in Michigan and across the country for that matter
|15 weeks 3 days ago||If you are that into Dirty||
If you are that into Dirty Bastard... You need to find Backwoods Bastard. Your perception of beer will be forever changed. Backwoods Bastard is Founders Dirty Bastard aged in Bourbon Barrels. Outstanding brew.
Michiganders are truly spoiled with beer riches, and it is exciting to see the recognition of some great local organizations.

Being a huge beer snob myself, I always find myself at Ashley's. Their rotating board is usually oustanding, and they always have something "special" on tap. Additonally, they put on events that regularly feature some of the rarest beer around.
However, the service and overall attitude of the staff is HORRIBLE. I really cannot stand that aspect of the place. Outside of 1 or 2 bartenders, they are pretty much all douchebags. If it weren't for the beer selection, I'd never go.
That being said, I am pumped as hell for the opening of the HopCat. They did a really nice job at the East Lansing location, too.
