The ice quality will not lend itself to Michigan's high-octane offense. It remains to be seen just how much of a detriment it will be.
I skated on it last night and it was absolutely turrible. Quite possibly the worst outdoor ice i've skated on in several years (I've played on 5 or 6 different outdoor rinks in the past several month).
The temperature has rebounded to the upper 20s/low 30s, giving facility staff a chance to work on it for the next 24 hours. Hopefully they don't have any events scheduled on the ice tonight. Game-time temps should be slightly above freezing (good), but possible freezing drizzle (bad). M/MSU is also the second game in the doubleheader.
Advantage: MSU, Dave Brandon's narcissism, last minute ticket buyers.
There will be a group of us at the BWW on Clybourn Avenue in Chicago. Even though there are official Michigan bars in the city, given the infinite pain of 2013, it just feels right to watch this game at a purveyor of poultry (but no plates).
I will instruct the bartender to activate the stadium sprinklers to take out Tyler Lockett.
Not sure if you go to the Pentacles often, but was wondering if you have any more information about their location, how to access them, whether you have to trespass, etc.
