Badgley has career 77…

Badgley has career 77 percent FG make rate between 40-49 yds. Not exactly a gimme. Reynolds had the ball hit him in the hands on 4th and 2 and flat out dropped it.

I've been saying this…

I've been saying this everywhere. Wasn't like it was a 35 yd fg attempt. Reynolds straight up had 2 worst drops in franchise history. Couple that with Purdy chucking the ball into coverage and getting bailed out every time by horse shit luck. Either way Lions should have won.

Oline is just average has been.

Biggest play for Iowa today…

Biggest play for Iowa today was Loveland dropping that ball in the 2nd qtr.

I'll take it.

I'll take it.

These mid to low tier Big…

These mid to low tier Big Ten jobs are too fickle. If you coach at the Indiana's and Minnesota's there is a window to move on after a successful or great season by those schools standards.

2011 was closer than it…

2011 was closer than it should have been. There was a horse shot personal foul that negated a M touchdown late in the 2nd half that pretty much would have iced that game.

Throw.Down.FIELD.

Throw.Down.FIELD.

Blocking in general has to…

Blocking in general has to get better for M. That's it. Pass blocking is scary and there no zero lanes for the backs. I've seen 1 small crease all game.

Maybe let mullings and his 6 ypc bang up in there.

Stubborn playcalling is…

Stubborn playcalling is driving me crazy.

They audibled to…

They audibled to specifically attack Rolder. Cost them the 2 score lead. Need to score td before half.

Wheres the aggressive…

Wheres the aggressive playcalling this season? It just disappeared like we have some true freshman at QB.

It's just hard to recover…

It's just hard to recover from this type of loss. If they make this just a blip on the radar and play like they did the first 3 games it's possible.

First glance this team felt like the pre covid start 2019 before Livers went down.

Be honest though....wouldn't…

Be honest though....wouldn't you rather say we lost to Syracuse or Minnesota?

Worst loss Eastern Michigan…

Worst loss Eastern Michigan 2014 45-42...that barn burner😬

NJIT was pretty bad probably worse.

There's almost no recovery…

There's almost no recovery from this loss. How does this loss rank in terms of bad losses last 15 years?

Gotta be in top 3

It's just a pride thing. Not…

It's just a pride thing. Not sure Izzo would accept NIT bid either. Coaching seriously needs to be re-evaluated. The sweet 16 run last season masked glaring issues that they never overcame this year.

The whole program is going…

The whole program is going backwards. I respect NC for declining thought M would do the same. Wrong....😑

Agreed...this game was…

Agreed...this game was already played a few weeks ago. While I agree Georgia is an excellent team they got beat soundly by Bama already in the SEC championship game.

Had they played week 3.....maybe I feel different about the rematch.

So I assume you think JJ…

So I assume you think JJ will be the driver of that Ferrari?

It's just early thoughts and…

It's just early thoughts and being excited for next season. Projections are sure to change. I'm sure everyone was already doing their own at least a little already.

Objective?

Objective?

Comparison was meant to show…

Comparison was meant to show what an exodus of veteran leadership can do to even a seemingly talented roster. I think if the D can find new leaders or say Hill/Ojabo comes back then the sky is the limit.

Hinton/Smith are primed to be those leaders.

I mean it did suck for the…

I mean it did suck for the ride to end but it doesn't sting for me. While I hate to call it over achieving this season was an amazing suprise. The only thing that keeps this from being my "Favorite"(even over 97) was the shitty loss to MSU after leading by 16 in the 2nd half. I hate losing to 1. OSU 2. MSU anytime.

This loss to Georgia was embarrassing but didn't mean that much. It felt like house money M was even still playing. Yes the talent gap seemed evident but I also felt Georgia really really wanted this game more than Michigan. So while it sucks losing anytime this definitely was an amazing season for me. I will be able to enjoy most of the memories for the rest of my life and that feeling I got the moment Ohio State was vanquished.

1997- obvious reasons apply

1997- obvious reasons apply

1991- fell in love with Michigan football

2021- was speechless and emotional after toppling Ohio State

1992- won the fucking Rose Bowl avenging loss to Brunell and that cocky Washington team finished undefeated 3 Ties. Feel like everyone forgets how good this team was.

1995- Hayes game 1, Biakabutuka hammers Ohio state

2003- such a good team. Should have finished better.

1999- Brady classic finishes

2006- 1 vs 2 left my soul hurting until App state 2007

2016- good year terrible finish.

2011- felt like a rebirth beat OSU

Stated on this blog that…

Stated on this blog that this was the only thing I wanted for Christmas. Best gift I've had in 20 yrs.

Mazi's smile is the best…

Mazi's smile is the best thing I've seen all season. Its true feeling. This smile represents the magical feeling from this season.

Whether or not M wins against Georgia then finds a way to beat Bama to put the ultimate topper on this whole dang thing. It won't seem to lessen the amazing feeling I will ALWAYS get when I think about THIS team!

GO BLUE!!!

Lions need a player like…

Lions need a player like Hutch too. Besides his physical skills he's everything else you'd want. He would fit with Dan Campbell so good but Lions will win a couple down the stretch and end up missing on him. He's Jacksonville bound....

I feel its a lack of…

I feel its a lack of interest for the team. I don't know what realistic expectations should have been. I think we all felt this team was gonna pick up where it left off last season. The underwhelming start has lost the casual MBB fans excitement and interest.

I know I'm not as excited to watch a game now.

7 turnovers is still…

7 turnovers is still alarming. This team does not value the ball enough.

While I understand ....its…

While I understand ....its still a bummer. I like bowl season and its interesting matchups.

He might be a long time UT…

He might be a long time UT fan and its his dream offer. If I was committed to another school besides Michigan, then offered last second, I wouldn't even hesitate flipping to Michigan.

Running out of the tunnel and touching the banner just one time would have been a dream come true.

He might feel the same for UT

To me it's more depressing…

To me it's more disappointing that we still have these biased views today. Even with all we have learned people still struggle to look past skin color.

This team isn't a NIT team…

This team isn't a NIT team either. I was surprised they beat SDSU and Nebraska as bad as they did. I was hoping that was the turn around of what I was predicting to be a 9 to 11 win squad.

It makes me wonder was Beleins influence still lingering the last 2 seasons?

Now this is all JH development and is THIS the product we will see from now on?

I will never understand why…

I will never understand why a certain type of player gets this kind of protection. I hear the "We don't want QB's getting injured!" Well then I guess they will have to think twice before running. They can even slide when its a designed run play.

Its one thing to protect them when they are throwing and defenseless. When they tuck and run they should be just like a RB or WR.

Honestly, this should have…

Honestly, this should have been blown dead. Once a slide is initiated the QB is officially ending the play. If the defender hits him he puts himself at risk for a penalty.

This happened to Cade yesterday. As soon as he started a slide play was over he was short of the line to gain. Even though he wasn't touched and ended past the marker. The play was over when he initiated his slide attempt.

Faking is the same thing.

Bad precedent to set.

Like I posted elsewhere I…

Like I posted elsewhere I don't think this is even a NIT team right now. The wins even look shaky...

I looked through the…

I looked through the schedule earlier. With the current look of this team I'm not sure Michigan finishes with more than 11 total wins.

If we believe this team gets better we have to believe most other teams they play progress as well.

I'm holding out hope that Howard and Co. see something that makes him believe it will all just click at some point.

Have you actually watched? I…

Have you actually watched? I feel the reaction is right on.

The expectation shouldn't be this far off.

This team looks bad. Trust me I wish it didn't.

If I was a fan of another team I would say the exact same thing. Objectively this looks like a 9-11 win season. What have you seen that suggests otherwise?

I'm all ears for the counter argument and I 100 percent hope you're right.

Feels like a red/blue pill…

Feels like a red/blue pill choice

Something has to change…

Something has to change. They look really bad, really early. With the #1 class, one of the top transfers, and a solid returning base.....

Does anyone here feel that this team is even slightly better??

The fact Howard had all that and can't make them at least a tourney team??

If this trajectory doesn't change it has the potential to cripple MBB.

I think NIT is a reach. I…

I think NIT is a reach. I looked at the schedule after Tarleton and saw maybe 7 more wins. That is an 11 win team. I don't know if I've seen a single flash of anything that tells me they can compete in the B10. That is being optimistic. They may be the worst team in the B10.

YIKES

2003 felt really close to…

2003 felt really close to this. At the time losing 2 years prior was torture. Michigan dominated that game and it felt so good.

97 was more about the greater picture on the season. Michigan had dominated all decade so I didn't feel like we wouldn't win that particular day.

Today I had to fight back tears. Literally couldn't control my shit.

I said this same thing. This…

I said this same thing. This win means so much more to me. I'm sure I'll still be fully into next week but man this one....THIS ONE!

Since game 1!

Even when…

Since game 1!

Even when they looked alright he still seemed like a 3rd stringer in there. Versus Buffalo I figured it was first game jitters. Now its 6 game jitters....Has he made any notable plays?

Win: Smile nonstop and blare…

Win: Smile nonstop and blare the entire version of The Victors over and over for at least a week. I'm talking in the shower, in the Truck, at work. I'll be humming it.

Loss: Take the AC out of the trailer windows and run to Costco looking for a deal on size 2 pampers.

Either way GO BLUE!

Eli might be a better option…

Eli might be a better option now but he's not the answer for long term success. He's a 2 with some 1 attributes. We know how good this offense is with a true 1.

I'm starting to wonder what the coaches ever saw in Jones. I really believed he would slide right in dishing out dimes and making good choices leading this team. I figured his jumper wouldn't be as good but still better than X.

Problems are everywhere though. Johns, Houstan and Williams seem constantly rushed. Like the game is way too fast right now. the regression just in the first 6 games makes me wonder if they can even win 14 games.

Crazy we are even talking like this but I haven't seen 1 thing that says this team is improving.
