Thanks for the info. I missed the beginning of the game coaching my sons team of 3-4. Graders. Thoughts and prayers to the grad assistant and his family.
While that may be true, you cannot discount the fact that PAC 10 teams of that era benefitted from "home cookin" in more than one outhouse bowl games. The Charles White Phantom Touchdown immediately comes to mind for me.
First time there and was thoroughly unimpressed with the rush that took place on the field. The areas around the bowl were better organized and flowed better but the stuff on the field was a trainwreck.
Murray didn't build it, but rather inherited a reinvigorated program from Jeff Blashill, who left WMU to be an assistant with the Red Wings. He now sits in Grand Rapids with a recent Calder Cup on his coaching resume, and would be my favorite to replace Mike Babcock.
What I think got lost in the Tigers game yesterday goes back to the run in they had with the White Sox. Same home plate umpire that threw out Pitkonen for throwing that pitch behind the Chisox player. Ump is an ass for tossing him yesterday, and should have been disciplined for not issuing the bench warning in the Chicago game.
My son was in the Michigan Youth Camp a few weeks back and Coach Manning was my sons position group leader. Gave the kids a great speech about what it takes to be successful at anything in life, not just football. "Be comfortable with being uncomfortable". He and Coach Hoke were pretty awesome, and I got a bonus by being there to observe.
My best in person memory was the 1981 Illinois game. First game after Ufer died, and the second game I ever went to. Illinois jumped out to a 21-7 lead after the 1st quarter. AC played an incredible game with long catches for TDs and long punt returns to set up others.
Does this stuff really matter? Urbz will do what Urbz does, which means in about 3 years he won't have the level of talent at Ohio as when he came in. His heart will hurt and he will retire for "family reasons".
I was there too, and my wife decided to call me in the stands with 11 seconds left in regulation and tell me she's pregnant with our first child. I still remember the fumble as clear as day. Was a hell of.a game.
Have you considered buying a season ticket package and selling the games you can't come up for? Doesn't do you any good this year, but would in the future. My brother is an Alum and lives in Clarksville. He grabs flights from Nashville for something like $99 round trip ( he may use Miles for that).
"I feel old today, because Michigan picked up a commitment this morning from Philadelphia (PA) St. Joseph's OL Jon Runyan Jr., son of former Michigan All-American lineman Jon Runyan (1993-95), one of the first Wolverines I distinctly remember watching."
If you feel old, then I must be old because I remember watching Jumbo Elliott!
Lots of Bo's Rose bowl trips, but doesn't anyone remember the shit call saying the receiver never got out of bounds in the 1984 Sugar Bowl? Would have lines M up for a field goal to win. The M defense kept Bo Jackson out of the endzone, but Al Del Greco kicked 4 fields pals to win 12-10. I was 14 and pissed'
Dickerson filled in for Beckmann during early season games when Frank was the announcer for the Tigers ( when they let Harwell go or he quit or whatever the hell happened back then). Early 90s because Bo was the President of the Tigers at the time.
As someone who has sold properties on LC, I would suggest you never ever rent your properties. With a LC, the buyer is responsible for repairs ( ie furnace goes out, water heater etc). I would also suggest you remain close enough to check up on the property and only agree to the LC if the buyer has a decent down payment and is willing to do a direct deposit for their monthly payment. Also, have yourself listed as an additional insured on their home owner policy and figure out what the monthly taxes are and add that to the payment so you don't get stuck paying the property tax out of your pocket.

You said you think we will become fans of Karan. I just read this and I already am! Thanks for sharing your insight with us.

Not much help for you, but good luck.
