I would start a special scholarship for poor kids. If you qualify for a Pell Grant you get plussed up to cost of attendance so no student debt. I would also include a mentoring program to help the kids develop study habits and find extracurricular activities that will help them prepare to enter the workforce.
I have a great job where I don't work very hard and make six figures. I grew up very poor and I am the only person in my family to go to college let alone graduate. I would hope to transform lives of people in a similar situation.
For the top teams, they can do kickoff games at the various NFL stadiums with maybe the SEC/B1G champs playing in Indy then Atlanta with every other year it being the runner ups in that stadium. For the lower tier teams (we could count up the stadiums to see how many are left) play home every other year.
Teams like Bama will do a home and home like they did with Penn State but looking at those schools they are far more likely to play a team with the neutral field payout.
They would go fewer if they could not add more. More games in conference necessarily means more losses to conference teams when they can play OOC like Florida vs Michigan when they can go for a win without hurting the conference.
ESPN could be waiting to see what games CBS and Fox are taking under contracts so they can set game times. There is some weird rule for CBS to pull a game a week but then ESPN can over rule but then CBS can pay extra so they sometimes negotiate late. Normally it just messing with the SEC but maybe this is bleeding over into B1G scheduling. Just a thought.
As I recall there was an infographic during a Saban Urban game where they showed how many games it took to win 50 (or maybe it was how many of 50?) and Urban was on the top because he had the record for the SEC.
After the game he said in the press conference that he can't wait to hop on his wife. He corrected saying he meant hop on a plane with his wife but I will let that thought linger.
They seem to be big on "let the boys play". There were plenty of things that could be called (kick catch halo) but Morgan Freeman and the crew figures they can settle it in the trenches.
Not sure the rate but one can do the work. I looked and Alabama made one in 2013 and Saban had 111 players drafted but they included guys like Sherman that were at the school before he got there. So he coached or recruited 111 draftees but then you figure about 25 guys a year for eight years and we are already at 200 at Bama.
He naturally gave scholarships at MSU and LSU but that is dangerously like work which is a topic I avoid.
Isn't a lot of the effectiveness in NCAA the rules? Winston shoved a red out of the way last year to get a snap off faster. The NFL doesn't let the offense just run up and try to snap before the defense gets a chance to be ready.
That removes most of the advantage of running from play to play.
My dream would be the first game be every team from the SEC West ranked last year against the matching team from B1G East. Same thing for SEC East and B1G West. Then rotate every two years between conferences. That lets us see how the conferences rank up from top to bottom.
Then again I would have an eight team playoff with 5 conference champs (if in top 10) and three play-in spots.

Full cabinets seem to help.

Stuffed on the next play. That Heisman may be gone.
Fournette has 14 carries for about 14 yards.
This may become a long night.
