Ferris State went to RPI this past season, and although didn't fair well (0-1-1) it forced them to go on a 14 hour bus trip with the new guys, and bonded the team. Also they were coming into the season after their best player broke his arm in the exibition game, so really threw the young team into a tough environment and forced them to "sink or swim" |

Surprised I liked the schedule so much. Having BC, BU, and U-Mass Lowell come to Yost and still playing Ferris, and now getting to add a home weekend with Michigan Tech is great. Plus a chance to possibly play Wester in the GLI, this means Michigan could play all the major Michigan schools (outside Northern, and LSSU) while moving to the B1G. I also think the away weekend in New Hampshire early in the season will help the team grow and test themselves early in the season. |

Do you get a new arena hoping to attract better players and better fan base, or do you try and get a quality product on the ice and hope people come out to see a top team? I agree that trying to play at Value City Arena isn't ideal especially for non-traditional hockey market. Like you said 4,000-6,000 seats would be ideal. Even teams like Minnesota (10,000) and North Dakota (11,634) don't play in that sized arena. |

Agreed Gwozdecky would have been a scary hire for Ohio. What he had done in Denver is nothing short of impressive. If he was hired in Ohio it would have given them the bump in Canadian recruiting that Denver had during his time there. |

You have the concept correct, yes players drafted in previous years join teams later in the season when rosters are expanded for playoff races. However, if a player plays in more than 5 games this season it burns 1 year of his entry contract. This is why Winnipeg waited for Trouba to make his debut. They plan on playing Trouba 2-3 games, letting him see NHL speed and players, and not buring his contract year.
