Same thoughts here.  Would you 'really' be surprised if one were to find out the RNG was biased?

Getting a 2nd star ...

I've read some posts talking about taking 1 hr of playing time, but nobody answed my question about what to do during that time.

Beating MSU and OSU in the same year ...

In 1964 I saw UM beat both as away games - they also won the B10 and Rose Bowl.  Only loss was to Purdue at home 21-20, but players said that after the loss it just strengthened their resolve not to lose again.  In 1964 the final ranking polls were done before the Bowl Games.  As things turned out all the teams ahead of UM lost their Bowl Games so a post-Bowl Game poll would have resulted in UM winning the MNC.

Oh well, after 64, UM was really bad in what was known as their "Dark Ages" concluding in 68 with a 50-14 loss to OSU.  That OSU game was known for Woody Hayes going for a 2pt conversion after the last TD to make the score 50. After the game when asked why he went for a 2pt conversion, he said "because I couldn't go for 3".  That loss and the preceeding years of ineptitude lead to the firing of Bump Elliot and hiring of Bo.  Regardless of age, most of us know what happened in 69.

In 1997 they said the UM schedule was too difficult ...

and they won the MNC. They opened at home vs. Colorado in what was thought to be a tough game - UM dominated.  Later in the year they were away to Penn State in what was thought to be a tough game - UM dominated.  This year the opening game at ND will tell alot.

Purdue 1995 ..

had every form of precipitation imaginable - rain, sleet, freezing rain, snow.  My toes are still cold.  All I remember is the terrible weather and a Woodson INT.

Ruke Orhorhoro ...

If he makes a tackle, will they be able to pronounce his name before the next snap?

Instructed to go here for vetting ...

OK, did as instructed,

Many upsets occur when ...

you do better than the best thing your opponent does.  For Penn State, their best thing is Barkley running and receiving.  Can Higdon get more yards than him?  Can the UM D limit Barkley receiving yards?

Will be interesting how they pass cover him and the TE Giseki.  If UM can limit these 2 guys they have a shot.

And to win, UM may need a 50+ field goal - Nordin was a one time Penn State commit.

I too am glad you are not a moran, but not knowing what a moran is, I think you meant moron.  Thank you for the henefit of your doubt about being a moran, but I have been known to be moronic and yesterday morning was an example.

No, you ...

commit to Heaven.

Major interests are:

1 - Church matters - where I can help.  I lead a Sunday prayer group, I prepare study materials (Scripture hand-outs et al) for Fellowship meetings, and am on 2 committees.

2 - Teaching an ESL class

3 - Food - Introducing my wife to American food - she's a quick learner, already can do burgers on the grill. In the mean time I'm getting hooked on her Chinese cooking.

4 - Classic rock

I said 200K+ ...

to not over-exaggerate.  But I agree, they basically run forever.

Your '06 4 Runner and Toyota's in general ...

A 4 Runner with 119K miles is just getting broken in.  They're good for 200K+.  Let me know when you're selling because I need a 2nd car for my wife.  Honestly you shouldn't worry about major repairs because Toyota's don't break.

I am driving my 6th Toyota - 3 Camry's and 3 4 Runners.  I'm spoiled by driving an SUV - really like driving above the traffic.  Honestly, all of us should consider Camry's - best sedan ever.  I grew up in Detroit and was fanatically loyal to American cars until one year when shopping for a sedan.  I drove a Camry, then spent most of the Summer trying to find something better.  Then and only then did I switch and have never regretted the decision.

The thing about Toyota's is - just make sure you change the oil and it'll never let you down. Now I know other Japanese cars are also very reliable, like Honda's, but I've had such good luck, why change.

My top life moments:

1 - Marrying who I think is the best wife any man could have

2 - Recommitting my faith in God

3 - Being asked to participate in church Discipleship Training

4 - Graduating #2 Wayne State College of Engineering

5 - Getting hired by Bell Labs

The event that most changed my life ...

was meeting my wife 7 1/2 years ago.  I've never been happier and we both have grown significantly as Christians.  It took almost 3 years to get her to America from China on a Fiance Visa.  Two years ago we were married and every day is a blessing.  She has been in America for a little over 2 years and every day her Englsh gets better - we have a lot of fun with the ESL video's.

2 Big jobs ...

1 -    In highschool during Christmas break help my friend rebuild a 1949 Ford flat-head in-line 6 in Detroit.  Unheated garage and it was very cold that winter.  In fact, had major freezing rain New Year's eve and tire ruts on side-streets prevailed until late March.

2 -    Replaced the clutch on my '66 GTO in an appartment parking lot.  Around 4:00 that day had to take my friend and his wife to JFK for a flight, so I didn't have any leeway for mistakes or re-do's.

ND(p) in the ACC ...

I guess they'd rather play Wake Forest than someone from the B10+4.  Sure improves their win probability.

The problem is that he doesn't have ...

half a brain.

Finebaum vs. Saban ...

Hmm - Just as hard to as trying to pick a winner in the war between Iran and Iraq.

Grilled Flank Steak ...

Make this for guests, and you'll be known as Chef  Boyardee ...

Colonel’s Barbeque

Ingredients                                                                                      Alternative Recipe

·   1/4 cup soy sauce                                                                 ¼ cup soy sauce

·     3 tablespoons honey                                                          3 Tablespoons honey

·     2 tablespoons distilled white vinegar                              2 Tablespoons Red Wine                                                                                                                      Vinegar

·     1/2 teaspoon ground ginger                                              1 ½ Teaspoon Ground Ginger

·         1/2 teaspoon garlic powder                                             1 ½ Teaspoons Garlic Salt

·         1/2 cup vegetable oil                                                          ½ cup vegetable oil

·         1 ½ - 2 pounds flank steak                                                 1 ¾ - 2 lbs Flank Steak

Directions

  1. In a blender, combine the soy sauce, honey, vinegar, ginger, garlic powder/salt, and vegetable oil.
  2. Lay steak in a shallow glass or ceramic dish. Pierce both sides of the steak with a sharp fork. Pour marinade over steak, then turn and coat the other side. Cover, and refrigerate 8 hours, overnight, or for 24 hours.
  3. Preheat grill for high heat.
  4. Place grate on highest level, and brush lightly with oil. Place steaks on the grill, and discard marinade – or pour on the steak to create a smoky flavor. Grill steak with the lid down for 10 minutes (5 min each side turning once) or to desired doneness.  Cooking for 5 min each side will produce medium cooked steak on the ends, and medium-rare in the middle.
  5. Cut meat into 1/4-3/8 inch strips.

Worst drivers are from ...

New York.  They feel entitled to drive in the left lane regardless of their speed and are anchored there regardless of flashing high-beams, beeping horn, or insulting hand-signals. When changing lanes, they neglect to use the turn signal, and often make exit ramp decisions at the last possible moment, and typically cross several lanes of traffic doing so.

My wife is Asian and she's ...

a really good driver.  I just have to remember to wear my crash helmet and body armor.

So were ...

Rich Rod and Hoke.  Looking back serves no purpose other than to appreciate were we are today.  I'm so old, I still have bad memories of the Michigan dark ages in the '60s under Bump Elliott.

I feel the same way ...

Let then fill their schedule with the Wake Forest's of college football.  They made their bed with the ACC, let them sleep in it.

Politi Comments ...

This guy is a 100% Rutgers shill.  They can do no wrong and Michigan/Harbaugh can do no right.  I usually do not like to go to road games but am going to the Rutgers game this October.  I gotta feeling Harbaugh will have the team ready to do a full beat-down and likely run-up the score.  Pay-back for the camp thingy, etc.  I'm sure that Peppers and Gary will have their game faces on, and will likely play very well.  Politi is such a homer - will be interesting to see if he has any comments on the Harbaugh commencement address at Paramus Catholic.

Iowa is always fundamentally sound ...

and doesn't beat themselves.  Never a good matchup for Hoke and RR teams.  Harbaugh is different and will likely use  a Stanford-like game plan.

In this case, character ...

is way way more important than coaching skill.  They need to get the entire staff and team on a 'clean' sheet of paper.  They can worry about wins and losses later.

Regarding their retention of some asst coaches - they need to all be axed because I'm sure they knew of the inaction and acceptance of criminal behavior, and did nothing about it.

Hmm - college football in the Bronx or ...

on a college campus?  Tough choice.  Bronx or college campus?  Bronx or college campus? College campus is in New Brunswick!  Some may actually opt for the Bronx.  I just cannot imaging tailgateing in the Bronx.

IMG Spring Practice Cost ...

I'd bet that Drew Dull is salivating and can't wait to post his next article on this.  I really don't understand how he keeps his job unless he has pics of his editor embracing chickens.

How right you are ...

Anything that imnvolves the Federal Government is a disaster.

On the 1997 D, Glen Steele was nearly as important as Woodson ..

He was the edge rusher and spent most games breathing into the ear-hole of the opposing QBs.  The 2016 D needs to find their version of Glen Steele to be truly excellent..  If Gary plays DE and starts, it could be him.  Don't know if Taco Charlton could be that guy.

Agree - feel the same way about ND(p) *

John Sterling, Yankees radio announcer is the worst ...

I have listened to baseball on the radio since 1950, and he is the worst by a long-shot. Yankees usually do everything with class, this is one case where they really blew it.  His broadcast partner Suzyn Waldman isn't much better.  Each game is usually good for at least one major blunder, some more.  And then he has his trite Yankee homerun calls - Ugh.

Just last week happened to catch a Dodger game on the MLB Network - Vin Scully was GREAT, and he works without a broadcast partner.

Lions unis ...

The black trim is awful.  They should go back to all blue and gray. Then get rid of the stupid thin helmet stripes.  Helmets can have thicker stripes, but white and blue on gray.

Australian Camp Cancellation ...

Wonder how Drew Sharp is going to put a negative spin on this?

Have owned Toyota's for 20 years and ...

will not drive anything else.  Grew up loyal to American cars and in the early 90's bougth a Toyota Camry.  No maintenance other than oil changes so I bought another.  After that have owned 4 runners.  Toyota's are good for 200,000+ miles and nothing ever breaks.

Option C ...

made me laugh, but appreciate your honesty.  I think I'm in that same boat - struggle with both.

Harbaugh really likes ...

tall DBs.  St-Juste is 6-3.

Rutgers 2016 recruiting ...

Last year while Michigan got 5 of the top 10 recruits in NJ, the best Rutgers could do was get the 15th rated one.  I think Ash will do better this year, but they'll still have trouble signing the best players.

Hawaii game ...

Hawaii players body time will be 7:00 am.  And after the travel strain of going to Australia and back, they will be challenged.

Should be an opportunity for Michigan to get a lot of guys in the game.
