I woke up on Saturday morning at 5 am and had to make a decision.... make the 4 hour drive from Chicago with the fear of watching Michigan get embarrassed or call my buddy and tell him to give my ticket away. I am glad I decided to make the trip! First off how can you beat Ann Arbor in November? Secondly it taught my daughter a lesson to not be a fair weather fan and support what you care about during the good and the bad. While I am as pissed off about that 2-point play, I am very proud of the way the team bounced back after that miserable game in Iowa City the week prior.... and the week before...and the week before....
This was a great teaching moment for a parent. The effort made the 4 hour ride back to Chicago a lot easier. Go Blue!
"Borges resigned from Auburn December 10, 2007, after a steady decline in the team's offensive production, before the team's appearance in the New Year's Eve Chick-Fil-A Bowl.[8]"
then shame on Brandon for hiring someone who knows so little about offensive football that he doesn't even listen in on the thought process of the guy who is destroying his DREAM JOB.
1) Throw Hoke a headset and ask him to care what is going on and,
2) punch Borges in the mouth and tell him to "get a few f-ing first downs you arrogant bastard!"
I was at that sad display yesterday. There is no doubt DG had little time to throw. However, when the line did somehow or another stop the D line, we ran the worst routes in the history of college football. It was like "sandlot" football.... "everyone go deep". DG danced around the pocket while Nebraska's backers blitzed and we had three guys in pass patterns all going long....the middle of the freaking field was wide open all day long. Does Borges even look at the results of the plays or see how a defensive team reacts to certain plays and formations? Every time DG was sacked I would look down field and our receivers were 60 yards down field running straight patterns.... no LB's dropped for Nebraska the middle of the field was wide open all day and Borges never saw this.... He has no clue and has to go or Brady will be back coaching the D line at a D2 school in a few years. Signed Frustrated!
In case you aren't aware, the Northwestern game this year will (might, could be, was supposed to be, has (had) a chance of being) be a big deal. The Chicago market is huge for Michigan from an alumni perspective and recruiting perspective. That stadium is a mausoleum. Half the fans will be wearing maize & blue. I am pretty sure the university can afford a couple of buses to ship the band to Evanston. I'll tell you what...have one fewer "flybys" at the next night game or one less sky writing over East Lansing and SEND THE BAND!
It didn't work against Akron. It isn't working against UCON. Please try something different. Please show to the Michigan fans that you actually know football and know how to make adjustments at halftime.
if you compare Michigan's first half compared to the first games for sparty and ohio...we are in great shape....yes they have made first game mistakes but i am feeling pretty good...10 wins
Bob Ufer? There is a whole generation of Meeeeeeechigan fans that don't know what a "unbridled" fan Ufer was and what he meant to the history and passion that is Meeeeeeechigan football today.
