They are also trying to set up a camp at St. Thomas Aquinas in FL but the OSU wants to set one up on the same day there. Could get interesting if both teams are there the same day. I know Harbaugh would welcome the joint effort to spread the game of football. Wonder how the OSU staff would feel and if they will try to pull strings to keep them out since Meyer has a good relationship with the school.

Also Fargo is great and each season is self contained so the writing has to be tight to wrap up everything in 10 episodes.

Congrats AJ. Surprised St. Juste didn't get an invite after his testing #s.

My amatuer take was that his balance and vision were great, but didn't accelerate as in small spaces very well which is normal at his size. Looks like a 1 cut back who will have some impressive runs where he looks like he's going down but recovers. Will be extremely tough for anyone smaller than a LB to tackle him.

It probably did, but it's more likely John got extra/better scouting from seeing more of Henry than other coaches and having sources he could trust at Michigan than Jim pushed for Henry to be drafted higher than he should have been.

RCMB is going crazy over the media's campaign to destroy Cook's image. Because of course NFL teams listen to what reporters say about a kid's character.

It isn't meaningless because it says something about the quality of QB play and the perception of the league.

Tim Kawakami has become one of my favorite twitter follows after he got the Harbaugh thing wrong. He called the 49ers trade 10 minutes before it happened saying that they would trade up so they didn't have to talk about the potential deal with Denver for Kap being over after Denver got a QB.

2017 is the only year that OSU is looking like a recruiting juggernaut. With classes of 25+ they were 4th in 2016, 7th in 2015, and 3rd in 2014 on the 247 composite. Very good but both Alabama and LSU have been ahead each year. Certainly not unbeatable and this 2017 class won't have a big impact on the field for another 2 seasons. There's certainly time for Michigan to catch up before then.

Ambry Thomas is actually looking more like 50/50 or better to Michigan. The coaches have been doing a lot of work in Detroit.

It was briefly mentioned that Ulizio did a good job, but not that he was up against Wormley and directed him outside when it looks like he wanted to go inside. Pretty good play for a RS Fr against a top senior DL.

They certainly share some blame but the players themselves really can't strike and not get paid for months while the owners can easily hold out.
|1 week 16 hours ago||The bargaining agreement in||
The bargaining agreement in the NFL is a fucking crime against the players. Their careers are so short they can't hold out the way the MLB players can and their injuries for the game are so much worse. If any league should have most of their salaries guaranteed it should be NFL players not MLB.

Yes, the "investigation" by the firm paid for by the NFL. Since then it has been shown that they used shitty science and the differences in pressures were easily accounted for by the weather and time of measuring. The report came to the conclusions it was supposed to because that's what the NFL wanted, the firm who did it has a history of doing investigations with an end result in mind.
I'd actually like to see the Patriots/Brady take the NFL to court over intentionally damaging their reputations by fabricating a report.

I hope there are no Michigan athletes doing any of the open water swimming after what I've read about the water there.
|1 week 3 days ago||It will certainly be||
It will certainly be interesting to see how OSU players do in the NFL, and if they take extra time to learn the pro aspects of the game. There is no doubt many at OSU will get drafted because NFL teams love athleticism and high upside which OSU has been recruiting in spades. But the OSU offense is also predicated on simple reads to take advantage of that athleticism and minimize the mental aspects of the game. It's an offense that works really well in college and thatis Meyer's main goal; win in college.
\Harbaugh is using the NFL angle to sell Michigan to recruits because he's been there and many of his coaches have too. He doesn't have the track record that Meyer does so he's using his strengths in recruiting. The number of kids who he recruited at Stanford who ended up in the NFL is ridiculous if you look at where Stanford was in 2007.
Will be very interesting to see Meyer and Harbaugh recruiting against each other in the years to come as both are super competitive and are selling different aspects of success.

Not really, Michigan sells it's post graduation job placement and networking advantages as well.

Let's see how Michael Thomas struggles this fall after getting drafted to hammer home to point that OSU doesn't prepare it's receivers well for the NFL. NFL preperation has been one of MIchigan's biggest selling points and it will be interesting to go up against OSU on the recruiting trail in the next couple of years.

That's Michigan's practice trailer. During spring and fall camp they have it parked at the practice field and run one drill in it. Then in the summer, they can drive it cross country and hold camps in that truck because it's a location they regularly practice.

Every team has a scary depth chart if you look ahead 2 years from now. There are lots of young guys who people forget about between the time they are recruits and when they actually see the field.
As I see it the only scary spot it DT:
At DT you have, Gary, Pallante, Hurst, Mone, Dwumfour and Paea.
At DE you will have Gary, Kemp, Johnson, Jones, Marshall and WInovich.
At LB you get Bush, Uche, Gil, Mbem-Bosse, Ross, Furbush.
At DB you get Washington, Long, HIll, Watson, Kinnel, Hudson, Metellus, Woods, St-Juste.
On top of this there are more recruits who will be in this class and may contribute as freshmen.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Another thing that may help||
Another thing that may help is increased talent development leads to more early NFL draft entries freeing up more scholarships in a couple years when it would be a small class to help balance things out.
