Glad to hear that he will be ok and it isn't a major neck or head injury. It seems that Michigan has been leaving a trail of bodies in their wake this season and it's not from playing dirty. They just seem to bring a physicalness that the opponents aren't prepared for.

It's different because Hoke made that policy clear from the beginning and Meyer was letting Walker take visits until today. So he totally changed up the rules after months of being OK with it. Not saying it's wrong for Meyer to do it, but it's not the same as what Hoke did.

Oregon had to deal with Pete Carroll and Jim Harbaugh.

If they want to be the Nike school or the east, maybe they should hire their own Harbaugh to do it. If John isinterested in leaving the NFL for college as there were hints of during the Michigan search (though likely it was only because it was Michigan), and Maryland is willing to spend big with UA money it could make sense. Already well known in the area, lives nearby, Superbowl winning NFL coach, and he and his brother could go head to head every year.
I know it won't happen but it would certainly make the B1G east the toughest division in football.

Would be great if they had super cheap large maize shirts people could wear over their jackets for the game.

Any future opponent that doesn't put far more effort into breaking down a single play from this game is no challenge on the field to Michigan. They have teams of GAs and other assistants whose job it is to break down plays and set it up in easy ways for the players and coaches to study it before the next game.

I'm definitely worried about Michigan's ability to get the run game going agianst the MSU DL, but I think Harbaugh should do a good job of scheming around that similiar to the game plan around NW's corners.

I think those projections are out of date. If you look at the simulator for the OSU game they win 80% of the time.
|1 day 10 hours ago||The difference is that the||
The difference is that the defense last year played a lot more plays than the defense this year due to the combination of this years offense sustaining longer drives and this years defense forcing more 3 and outs.
2015 Michigan defense: 355 plays (710 over 12 games)
2014 Michigan defense: 783 plays
So the defense last year had 10% more opportunities for takeaways and negative plays.

I was also thinking he should be on that list, and I think he's supposed to visit this week.

Touche. After typing Fuller and Mitchell I just had to continue the trend of a double letter in the name.
|1 day 23 hours ago||Mitchell is also trying to||
Mitchell is also trying to recruit Jordan Fuller, 5th ranked player in Jersey and a top 150 guy.
Adding Walker, Fuller, and Garry would give Michigan 4 of the top 5 in Jersey and 5 top 150 players from the state.

Hosting Utah and UCLA later in the season, could easily see a 4 loss USC and Sark on the hot seat after 2 years. This is the second loss for USC at home where they were a double digit favorite.

What the hell is going on in the USC game? Every time I flip to it USC seems to be driving the ball at will picking up 8 yards a carry and yet they only have 3 points and are tied?

Nice to see that OSU is predicted to beat Maryland at home by less than Michigan did on the road and not beat the spread.
|5 days 6 hours ago||I can't even imagine where||
I can't even imagine where this team would be if Brandon hadn't been fired and Hoke were still the coach. With only Speight, Malzone, and Morris on the roster the offense would be an utter disaster if none of them are even close to Rudock.

If he were in fact recording merely to prove innocence in case the girl had second thoughts the next day, I could see that being a valid defense though they'd probably still want him to plead to some misdemeanor instead of tossing everything. But it sounds like he distributed them to others so that defense is out.

Yes, so charge for the crime, don't add on an additional charge for using a computer to do it.
|6 days 9 hours ago||Because lots of laws are||
Because lots of laws are enacted and then enforced in ways they were never intended. Prosecutors like to charge as many things as possible to make it seem bad so the defendent pleads to a much smaller sentance instead of the risk of years of jail for all of those charges.
The idea that using a computer to commit a crime is an extra crime in itself is ridiculous but so is much of our legal system.
|6 days 22 hours ago||Our offense feels very||
Our offense feels very controlled right now. Grind out drives, trust the defense to keep it close, throw in a wrinkle to get a big play when it's not expected. It's only 5 games and no good defenses since Utah, but they keep having new wrinkles and they keep leading to big plays. We'll see over the next two weeks just how sustainable it is but the trend has been solid so far. Coaches seem content to keep it very vanilla when they know the opponent is over matched.
|6 days 22 hours ago||Basically coaches saying||
Basically coaches saying Michigan is good, playing classic Harbaugh football(run a lot, control clock/game, strong D line, and make opponent uncomfortable), Rudock may hold them back, will win more than people expected year one. Also doing a good job adapting to personnel and using what they are good at.

Not sure, but since it was an away game it's likely Mgoblog had no one at the game with a press pass.
|1 week 2 hours ago||Yeah, that's one of the nice||
Yeah, that's one of the nice things about Yogi Ferrell for Indiana and something I'm looking forward to with Simpson at PG. And the coaches aren't just going after large CBs, they don't have the same focus on size that Hoke had. Lavert Hill and Chris Brown are just 2 of the many CBs under 6' that the coaches have gone after.
|1 week 3 hours ago||That's one of the nice things||
That's one of the nice things about college players who are undersized for the pros, you are less likely to lose them early and they can be just as good or better in college despite being too small. The NFL/NBA loves size and athleticism even if the players haven't played the best on the field. So a guy with an NFL/NBA body is probably gone before they reach their potential or you get 1 great year with them while you can get 2-3 good years with a player who doesn't have elite measurables.
