It went ok from what I'm hearing. I don't think Alabama fits his personality as well as Michigan does. I've said this before, but I think Michigan has a clear lead on him. Poggi is a smart kid, his parents also want him to go to a highly rated academic institution. In terms of ratings and football tradition, Michigan would be hard to beat Michigan for Poggi. I used to love his columns, especially his NFL columns.  I can barely read his stuff anymore.  It's hard to credibly reflect the working class underdog fan when you are sitting courtside at the Finals, chumming around with the former chairman of Disney on your podcast, or talking about your daughter's private school crush on Slash's kid.  Maybe it's just me.  

I miss the old Bill Simmons, the new one is talented and successful but a complete douche.

I was hoping he'd advocate for the pro-Ohio "death threats are totally justified" perspective.  I guess the good news is that Bayless and Stephen A are likely still available to fill that role.  Or perhaps Craig James and Pam Ward can be brought back along with Matt Millen and Chris Spielman for the most ridonkulous segment in the history of time.  And let's throw it to Terrelle Pryor for a closing, "everybody kills people".

The truth is, the anger I feel toward Carmelo is really anger that should be directed at owner James Dolan. If ‘Melo is Paulie, then Dolan, to continue the Godfather analogy, is basically Fredo, if Fredo were twice as stupid and three times as jumpy. When Fredo panicked, all he did was fumble the gun, sit down, and cry. Dolan would’ve accidentally fired it, hitting his father another couple of times in the back, before running away and hiding.
