I just hope I can come close to Lloyd's abilities someday so I could grace the uniform. Great article.

My bad

When you have Pitt and Marshall fans in your family, it wasn't a nickname. it was just normal to call him that.

ND

Is a big east school. Even if they don't admit it. When you play in a conference in every other sport, you are in that conference.

Thank god we didn't lose to a Big East School this year. Though they are 20-6 in bowl games since 2006.

I didn't mean them

Just special needs. Like people with down-syndrome. People with special needs are not a race.

About your diversity lineup

While I see the comedy in the post, I know people who have or need special needs. Calling them "diverse" or part of it is not appropriate. Nor is it appropriate to reference special needs when making any joke publically. Maybe it was not your original intention, but I saw comments that did attach it with being comedic.

Overall great post, but I don't think making fun of people in that context is a great idea.

BUT

But the legend continues. reference gatorade commercial.

Things can seem really bad

But then they get really good. It's great to have him.

Agree

I agree with you completely. However, I couldn't give a name for a someone who should receive the award.

Any suggestions?

Who wouldn't

Think we would roll Arizona? For the record, Arizona may be easier than App State. With poor and old facuilities and being more than second fiddle to everyone else in the Pac-12, I don't see Arizona coming out of the dark ages. At least WVU had football relevance (bobby Bowden ) before Dick Rod was there. Put it on the schedule doesn't bother me. What still bothers me is having people boo App State when they show the score on the big screen. We don't have a rival with that school and we never will.

No facepalm for bowling is right

Hopefully my professors will let me go to the bowl game this year. Go Blue.

What a great piece to continue a great year.

A shout out to all Erie PA students at U of M.

Andrew Chinsky forming the block M project last year. Daniel Chinsky for working on getting it back in proper form for next season.

Tim Rohan covering football for the Daily all season and a great article.

Courtney Mercier for having 4 great years on the soccer team and soon to be Michigan Law student.

No one should

Put their hands over their face and say ohh god. They were going to get a good coach no matter what scenario. Would LSU be scared when Saban went to Bama. Would Florida, Georgia, or Clemson be afraid when Spurrier went to South Carolina? No. They would take it as normal news and celebrate the moment that they had as well as get ready for a new challenge. Without any challenges, winning would come easy and it would mean nothing. One thing Urban Meyer has yet to face is cold weather football. He has also yet fo face consistently great opponents week in and week out. I know the SEC is the best conference in America, but when you can take a week off to prepare for the next week when you play Vanderbilt( maybe not this year, but is Wake Forest really a good win?), Ole Miss, or Kentucky things aren't as hard. Winning 5 games against great opponents could be easier then winning 7 against decent ones. Food for thought.

on the field yesterday

I say a few ohio fans. They were just smiling and laughing. I think they must have forgot what team they were rooting for since most of them prob went to other schools besides ohio such as Miami, Toledo, ohio university, etc.

Concerning this dilemna

Almost all of my classes will be drop if I don't attend the first day of classes. I am planning on emailing all of the professors as soon as I see where our invititations puts us.

If we can't get this worked out for this yr, I'd consider running for MSA president next year with this issue as my central platform with a few others to revamp the orginization.

Facepalm guy for MSA president '12.

If this is true

It's just more good news. Hit them with more intense sanctions.

Repeat

Instead of a repeat post, I thought I'd throw something different. Who cares if Urban is coming? They were going to get a great coach no matter what. We don't really have to care; we can just enjoy the win today and watching Ohio play in the little cezar's bowl.

What an honor

Thank you for including me in this journal. I feel honored as I'm sure Lloyd does too. While they may rebuild the deathstar in a few years as was in the next 2 movies, we know what happens when the death star came back. It was a trap, but it didn't matter.

I always wear blue

I always wear blue

Thankfull

For this university and youtube...........

I'd cover

my face with my hands and feet if we ever get one.

googling his name

would help you with spelling next time.

Nebraska

Had trouble controlling Penn State who lost the game for themselves (understandibly). We will either have a great performance or a trageic one. I think our defense stands up well to Nebraska's mediocre offense especially Martinez's mediocre Qb play

fight on you baltimore colts

WE AREN'T

Just trying to hide

OSU just trying to facepalm behind the State college news for their FTM policies. Not a great week for the Big Ten. Hopefully we win on Saturday.

Nebraska is worried

I'd be concerned about going myself.

anyone consider

Patterno had already lost control of the program by this point and he was nothing more than a figurehead?

Title =  Fistpalm

:)

just realized

this topic is as bad as the guys crying at the end of the bama game

I'd put Rice and all the Ivy

I'd put Rice and all the Ivy school at the top.

Joe's been retired for sometime

Anyone think that because Patterno has been the figurehead coach at Penn State since who knows when that he may have been unable to go over the AD's and other officials' heads?  for those of you who believe Patterno has a dimished role in the progam( like Bobby bowden would've had if he stayed at FSU) is it plausible that Patterno didn't do more because he didn't have any real authority over the program?

this question is just a hypothesis.

who cares

who cares which is better? There is obviously a debate. However, Maize and Blue wins because I can get a sandwich there without paying as much as i would for a meal at Chop House.

I'll be at the games

this year too don't worry.

ACC power teams = old Big East

Take a look at it,

Miami, Virginia Tech, Boston College, and soon to be Pitt and Syracuse. I know FSU, GT, and Clemson are good programs today. With due respect to FSU, historically speaking all the former Big East school of the ACC have better football traditions than any of original ACC schools. Without Bobby Bowden making FSU what it is, Miami, VT, and BC may have never left. The ACC has more cupcake games than the big east does. UNC is now irrelevant, NC Statte is irrelevant, Virginia, Wake, and Duke are also traditionally irrelevant. You might as well call the ACC the Big East football conference. The basketball conference the Big East is becoming could have been the ACC. Just food for thought.

First time on MGoblog/first college football game

I remember my first college football game. My former favorite team was playing Nebraska. It was a spectacle to see the Nebraska fan base outnumber our own (not Michigan to clarify) at the stadium and around town. I've always wanted to go to Lincoln ever since I had the positive impression of well-mannered and passionate Nebraska fans who had made the trip all the way to North Carolina. their team was in the Bill Callahan years, playing lousy, and they still made that drive. With that said, I'm hoping the Big House won't be a sea of red like it was at Notre Dame when Nebraska played them in 2000. At least it's a more acceptable shade of red than I saw a few years ago.
