I love that robots will now hustle harder in the garden, too! Great idea. Wish I lived close enough to join you.

Dantonio can't even red-lock properly...
|3 days 17 hours ago||100% agree||
You tell it how it is. The only issue is during the occassional year when he had a squad that could go to the ship, despite the scholarship situation, he couldn't get over the hump.
He's a good coach and I hope he does well at Miami. I agree with the comment that he's basically Lloyd Carr minus the 1997 team and Mike DeBord

Stanford and GT differ greatly. Stanford is 48% women undergrad, whereas GTech is 35%. Stanford has a wide variety of non-engineering majors, GTech very few. Stanford is much more prestigous in a much more scenic location.
Lastly, all the big name colleges in CA are in the Pac-12. The SEC is much more engrained in the culture of southern states like Georgia than the ACC is.

Meaning academic growing pains, attitude/work ethic growing pains, physical football growing pains, mental football growing pains, overall maturity growing pains?
Inquiring minds want to know. He seems to be doing well out there.

Don't project a loss to OSU next year. We'll be good and ready for them.
|11 weeks 4 days ago||My money quote is that Harbaugh||
My money quote is that Harbaugh would coach QBs for Tom Brady.
|11 weeks 6 days ago||To be fair||
It looks like he managed to work out his traps a few times. Core...not so much.
|11 weeks 6 days ago||I agree that starz do matter||
But citing this table as evidence is conflating correlation and causation. Did Alabama have better recruiting classes in the three years prior to their first National Championship or the three years after?
|12 weeks 37 min ago||I have no problem with any of the responses||
I'm actually pretty impressed. The top 15 (well, 14, since DPJ didn't comment) acquitted themselves well in these pressers and seemed like they had good heads on their shoulders.
Rison's comment doesn't sound pissy at all. He's laughing saying I gotta make them pay with my play at MSU. That's fine by me. Antjuan Simmons sounded good too. Good to see. I respect the no comment from Jordan Reid.
Nothing to see here in my book.
|12 weeks 3 days ago||With Frey and Drevno||
We'll have one sooner than later. As long as we have one by Ohio State, I'm happy.
|13 weeks 13 hours ago||I've heard this but don't buy it||
Didn't he rotate back into safety and nickel on a decent chunk of plays this year? I mean, I get that the NFL doesn't have as much film on him at safety as they would if he played there every down the last few years, but they project much more with much less on some players, especially those playing D3 competition.
|13 weeks 13 hours ago||Maybe||
It could also be that just like we split up the secondary because it is frequently 5 players in nickel, we split up the O-Line because it is 5 players, and that is a lot of players/positions to coach/recruit.
Obviously, Harbaugh is seeking improvement. I am not sure this reflects on Drevno as much as it reflects on the importance of the OL in general, especially now that we can go to 10 coaches.

insert KeyandPeelesubstituteteacher.avi here.
|13 weeks 18 hours ago||Maybe||
But I think it's more likely that some UM doctor was able to assess some injury (every player is injured by the end of the year, even if they're just on the practice squatd) and the NCAA rejected his case.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Even Saban doesn't have that size of balls||
At this point in the game, you lock a kid up if you can. It's one thing in July to say: "take your visits". In mid-January you don't encourage a kid to "go hang around with those other really convincing coaches at another marquee program".
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Because most of the experts don't believe him||
Hence their ballz to UM. That and the other news that the visit was on point.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||One completely uninformed guess||
Is that the visit was a hit, Solomon is most likely coming to UM, but doesn't want to take the surprise out of the public announcement. Hence, after news spreads of the great visit, Solomon saying: still love Bama.
|13 weeks 5 days ago||Occam's razor||
I'd say the simplest and most likely explanation is that he doesn't want the public to know where he's going, so after a day with great quotes about Harbaugh he balances with great quotes about Bama
|13 weeks 6 days ago||Not with their air||
You can't do physical activities in their air, that is, unless Harbaugh can get the gov't to shut down the factories and taxis like they did for the Olympics.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Fair point||
If room and board aren't free, the 50K will likely not turn into much savings, even for those who eschew high livin'
|14 weeks 5 days ago||For some||
I agree that this is the case for many students.
At the same time, what would hold stronger value for some of these kids: a degree or $200,000. With $200,000, you can still go get an instate degree for less and have some savings.
|14 weeks 5 days ago||Window dressing||
Correct--for many the CC offer will be window dressing, but so is the degree that many current scholar-athletes get (or don't get when they don't graduate).
I actually like the CC possibilities, as the CC can provide you actionable work skills (carpentry, welding, etc.) better than taking a smattering of liberal arts classes at a university can.
|16 weeks 4 days ago||I'll join||
Similar boat as KC as to how much a loss in this game will impact me as a fan. At the end of the day, I won't think about a loss in this bowl for more than a day. I still think about the Iowa and OSU losses. And last year's MSU for that matter.
On the flip side, I see the momentum and recruiting arguments. Win the game, then have fun.

Was 4th pick of 2009 draft. Productive college player who busted the 4.55 at the combine. Never panned out, but that was the talk of the draft was his 4.55.

So I was lounging in Denny's waiting for this pincy-eyed dude to reassert his oilhair after a little romp with a middle-aged woman that would score a 4 on the Trump-hot scale. He leaves and says can we get two to-go coffee's on the Redbirds budget. Someone brings them coffees, but they're already gone.
This other group of people is sitting there and they got at least one member who had straws and other light garbage floating around him. He was planetoid sized, but had muscle. Intense stare. Family was saying something about how the coaching wing of the mitten was full up. So then a steely-eyed man with a moptop walks in with a little pug on a leash and starts telling everyone in the group that "you have a job" and "you have a job".
Group of people gets excited. Smiles. Lots of gleaming teeth. Not from around here. As they walked out, I saw they left a blue hat on the table. It's a huge hat. I run out to the parking lot to tell them they forgot the hat. Nah man, we don't need that anymore.
