But I'm a big boy and I'm not afraid to change my opinion on something when when I gain a new perspective.
|13 hours 59 min ago||I dislike propaganda either way||
But I can't help feeling it's unfair that all media outlets in Ohio are vying for the title of biggest OSU ass-kisser while the Free Press feels their best business move is to print every nasty thing they can dig up or make up about UM.

Fucking terrible. On those drives, we
1. Went from their 34 to their 25 in four plays, threw an interception.
2. From our 24 to their 33, incomplete pass on fourth down.
3. A one-play drive, Hart's rumbing bumbling stumbling 54-yard TD to take a one point lead, Brandon Minor run (!) for 2pt conversion failed.
4. From our 43 to their 26, Gingell's missed FG.
5. From our 34 to their 20, all yards on a single pass to Manningham. We had to try a kick because only 6 seconds left. Blocked.
Our defense was stout on four straight drives, on which ASU netted -11 yards. Then we took the lead. Bork Lazer had one 18-yard rush and four pass completions for 55 yards on that drive. They kicked the game-winner on 1st and goal from the 5 with 0:30 left because they had no timeouts.

Right up there with his HS highlights imho. He never got to full speed but kept changing direction and found the endzone after 54 yards. But since the game turned out the way it did, that didn't get any attention.

through the grapevine.

but I don't have an empire.

I looked at App State's roster in 2007 and saw a bunch of 250-lb defensive lineman. I figured we would bowl them over all day.

|18 hours 50 min ago||I expect you will||
go on. Look, I feel the same way about letting bad teams hang around. 2013 was a depressing season and included a lot of bad things. Let this season get started before you strike up the dirge.

Va Tech and Washington in the same years is very encouraging. I hope we can somehow do the same in the Arkansas years, a road game in 2018 and home in 2019. An ACC team would be nice. I really want a road game at Pittsburgh, the closest real non-conf team to Ann Arbor and even closer to my home in Cleveland. Pitt has Penn State in that arrangement (in Pittsburgh in 2018, at Penn State in 2019) so that probably won't happen. I see they're hosting Delaware to start 2019, so they must not mind the helmets.
|20 hours 21 sec ago||My best friend for the past 30 years attended Ohio State||
It never seemed appropriate to ask him how he managed to spend 5 1/2 years there and not graduate. I think he changed his major a few times. He now has a bachelor's and master's degree from Kent State, so all is well.
|20 hours 4 min ago||I love that story. Does it cancel out Larry Harrison?||
|20 hours 15 min ago||Hoke's teams did not really do so until last year||
With the possible exception of Iowa 2011 (they finished 7-6), Hoke's UM teams won their first 10 games against bad teams by an average score of 41-9. Of course last year they had big problems with three sub-.500 teams in Akron, UConn, and Indiana. Recency effect.

Meanwhile the little people are latching onto every Friday posbang thread just to catch the crumbs from the table. It's enough to make me turn Commie.
|1 day 17 hours ago||That seems likely||
FWIW I like it when we send fewer players to the coin toss than the other team. Sort of says "two of our guys can do what it takes 4-5 of yours to do."
|2 days 7 hours ago||Yes. I see Cleveland Municipal took it on the chin up above||
Tiger Stadium had all the same problems except the bugs and the excess size. Obstructed views, peeling paint, general dilapidation, etc.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Well, Bowen was just a gym||
It wasn't pretending to be anything it wasn't. I dated an EMU student while at UM and attended a few games in the Earl Boykins/Derrick Dial years. I had a good time, but it was very much like a really big high school gymn.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Yes indeed||
I may be biased against it because the only game I saw there was the Citrus Bowl vs. Tennessee, but what a dump. An overgrown high school stadium, complete with dilapidated concession areas, cheapo concrete and exposed steel beams everywhere.
|2 days 7 hours ago||Reminds me of the soccer stadium in Warsaw||
No matter where you sit, you're behind a Pole.
As for the old Cleveland Stadium, it was a dump in many ways but I also got to attend a few Indians games sitting in the skybox of some family friends, so that softened my negativity. I went to an Indians game on a weeknight in September when I was a kid and the conditions were like the one Dominick's Lunch described. Announced crowd of about 1,700 but it sure seemed less than 1,000. They were a spirited bunch though, they tried to do the wave. A valiant but doomed effort that got a wry mention in the Plain Dealer the next day.

The big baller tailgate lots are on the same side of the tracks as the stadium, but from a risk management standpoint (Carr/Hoke word!) the rail line between the beer selling and the stadium would be a concern.
As for the original question, I say no.

|4 days 21 hours ago||Same goes for Stonum's TD return||
That was an amazing zig at almost full speed to keep the return going. Nobody touched him. I hope we have a receiver on our current team with that kind of ability. I've never figured out how to embed videos...it's at 1:40 of parkinggod's highlight video.
|4 days 21 hours ago||I'm really disappointed that he stopped doing these||
The 2009 and 2010 ones remain sooooo delicious. It's sad that we don't have 2011 and 2013 to enjoy as well. Wait, I just got a whiff of Axe. Or was it Drakkar Noir?
|4 days 21 hours ago||Yes indeed. It came right down to the finish.||
After all the BS about Lloyd not shaking Bobby Williams' hand after the Spartan Bob game, this is one of my favorites:
|5 days 9 hours ago||With all the other details he included||
I find it telling that he didn't include the name of the Big Ten school. I suppose that allows the reader to fill the void with whatever B1G school he most wants to belittle. It's like he's sparing the Big Ten school the embarrassment but not really. Guy likes to have it both ways, doesn't he?
|5 days 12 hours ago||So the dude dislikes the Big Ten and Notre Dame||
Did I get that right? He was just begging for a TL:DR there.
