|1 day 11 hours ago||The OSU games are too high-stress for me||
I live in Ohio so we simply must win that one. I've only attended two losses to OSU: 2001 and 2005, which sucked.
2002 Michigan State was good. The margin was almost enough.
I watched UTL 1.0 from my living room. It was awesome and I don't think I could have handled the strain in person. The two late Michigan TDs were at the far end from my usual seat, so that wouldn't have helped.
UTL 2 was on my birthday, a beautiful evening, and following some pregame jitters I was never really worried that we were going to lose. Plus: chicken dance.

Caris in many ways is the most Beilein recruit...didn't turn 18 until after he arrived on campus, underdeveloped physically but highly skilled, successful high school player (state champ as Sr) but not highly recruited, 40% 3pt shooter, etc. I guess this staff really does like guys with long arms. Having a wingspan 3" more than your height is notable. I don't think I've ever heard of a guy with a 7" differential.

But Larry Blue played for Iowa and Marquis Maze for Alabama. Counterpoint: Michael Redd did play for OSU.

that I didn't realize or remember that Feagin ever appeared in a game. I arrived in Aruba the day of the Minn game and flew home the day after the NW game, and that was before I had a smartphones so I was oblivious. Plus I chose going to see the Twilight movie with my wife instead of watching the OSU game (apparently nobody had offered me a free root canal that day) so I didn't watch any of the three games Feagin played. It sure nice that Michigan is back to winning all the time again.
|1 day 17 hours ago||Well, that's how Oregon controls the game||
Tearing off huge chunks of yardage almost at will and scoring a bunch of points. They do on the gridiron what Loyola Marymount did to us on the court. Try and keep up.

Would that make their offense a Bizarre Love Triangle?

If they would throw in Entree Plus for life, that would really be something.

But when he was bad he was horrid.

A longer first toe is considered base or Plebeian. BTW I have longer second toes. QED.

They're both small forwards, aren't they? Can you play a Beilein set in the NBA...a PG, three wings, and a post? BTW I think Waiters sucks, can't they get rid of him somehow?
|3 days 15 hours ago||It wasn't an act||
The list of athletes who have left Cleveland teams to go on to greater success elsewhere is longer than the list of Browns starting QBs. And he was a local product who took the Cavs to their greatest heights, then dumped Cleveland on national TV. The response was predictably and embarrassingly over the top, and if he returns there will be some awkwardness. But keep it neat, get one of these:

will the kid from UDJ change his last name to Freedom, or will it be Service?
|4 days 15 hours ago||I think the TV viewers were cheated re the Tickler||
The book version of his demise was much more satsifying.
|4 days 16 hours ago||At least we got a run to the NCAA finals with Mitch||
and the future seems bright. The emotions are similar to those surrounding Jamal Crawford's NBA career. I feel a bit cheated that we didn't get to see more of him playing for us. This past season of Michigan basketball was pretty great in its own right, but...
If Mitch's back is really okay, he was a steal at #21. He's going to fit in so well with Durant and the Thunder, like Stauskas would with the Showtime Lakers.

Urban has had great success and I love his mentality on offense. If Miller were a better passer (and he's gotten way way better than he was) they would be unstoppable. That said I'm not wowed by their staff. Their defense was lousy last year, especially given the great physical ability of their players. But I believe they replaced some coaches on D.
Mirroring OSU, Hoke just fixed the biggest weakness on his own staff. He replaced an underperforming OC with a very promising one. We'll have to see.
I'd say that in general the staffs are even. OSU's advantage is that they have better talent on their roster. Kinda like most of the Tressel vs. Carr years, when Tressel was able to out-Lloyd us because of his talent advantage.
If we're just equal in the coaching department we're in trouble. I think we need better coaching to beat OSU 50% or more of the time. Cooper's teams had great physical talent but the players were dumb and they were poorly coached. That allowed Michigan to overcome a talent deficit by making much better decisions in the Games.

|5 days 17 hours ago||I liked watching their DB #37 lined up against him||
I'm sure he's a good player, but I'd like to see him try to keep up with Denard's change of direction at full speed.

I suppose if that happened to us I would be mad, but they had a much more experienced team and blew it. Triche was very dismissive of Michigan before the game, then with the game in the balance, committed too early to his move and got correctly called for the charge. So sad for you. Oh, almost forgot:

For a guy who did not accomplish much at UM and did not get a fifth year from Beilein, meaning he missed out on the program getting really good, his tweets show a loyal streak.
