So Tom Herman's O just ran up 59 points on a defense coordinated by a college teammate of his? Cold.
|1 week 3 days ago||There's really only one long-time head coach in the game||
Frank Beamer has been at Va Tech since 1987.
The next in the longevity game are Bob Stoops (hired 12/1/1998) and Kirk Ferentz (hired the day after Stoops). Gary Patterson was elevated to head coach of TCU when Dennis Franchione left for Alabama after the 1999 season.
Those are the only four head coaches in D-I who were leading their current teams at the start of the 2000 seaon.

usually due to sloth followed by overdoing something. One time it was due to the Mean Streak, when I was 16. I won't go near wooden coasters.

Horford didn't like the job of being a big man in Beilein's offense. So depending on how kindly you regarded him, he either was introspective or mopey. He had his moments but I noticed him committing cheap fouls all the time, which cuts against Beilein's strategy and probably led to a lot of criticism. I bet he would still be splitting starter minutes if he were here, but it would be with Doyle and not Morgan.
A healthy McGary would be a real difference maker with his mobility and passing. Alas it was not to be.

The other 14 guys are in Twolves jerseys. No minutes yet. Also, listed as guard/forward. Is his skill set anything close to a guard's?
|5 weeks 4 days ago||Outstanding||
Great guy, great coach.
|5 weeks 6 days ago||Even better if you include only the final two sentences||
"I love the game and I want to do it for a long time. But I also know that if I want to do it for a long time, I have to do things differently than the way guys have always done it."
|7 weeks 5 days ago||Hoke is a Director of Football Operations who gets $4.3 mill/yr||
If all Hoke had to do was hobnob with alumni and recruits and clap encouragingly on the sidelines, he'd be a champion. Unfortunately for him, head coaches are expected to set strategy and direction, motivate their players and staff to develop their skills and field a team that wins games.
At my company we have employee scorecards that serve as the basis for evaluating performance. The accountabilities on the scorecard are in descending order of importance. He's doing okay at some of the items further down the list, but bombing at the top three or four. There are also competencies that show what knowledge, skills, and abilities someone needs to succeed in the job. In this case, things like intelligence, ability to think on one's feet, adaptability, spoken and written communication, etc. He would have been lucky to get an interview for the job based on qualifications, and Brandon pretended that he was an ace hire.
We're paying for filet mignon and getting low-end hot dogs. That's some great value right there.

So he would be a senior next year, when Brown would be a freshman.
|8 weeks 1 day ago||I'd be happy with Jesus Jones, the Jesus and Mary Chain||
or even Miroslav Satan if it would prevent our team from looking like a bunch of dopes with no plan, no skills, no execution, and no hope.
|8 weeks 3 days ago||Yawn. Every MSU basketball player gets 3 of those each season.||

They ugli, whoop whoop, they ugli!
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Give me Hamm on 5, hold the Mayo||
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Sounds like all of them||
Hey, maybe Brandon will get Pink to perform a recorded halftime show.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Relatively decent job of staying within the lines though||
A- in Art 201 for the perpetrators.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||Moving in Stereo would probably violate some board rules||
But didn't Jennifer Jason Leigh hook up with a guy named Ron Johnson? Would that make it a UM-related post?
|9 weeks 3 hours ago||Does it make a difference where the receiver caught the ball?||
If he had caught it behind the line of scrimmage, would that have made the blockers' actions legal? If so, then the design of the play was totally flawed, because he could have walltzed into the endzone if he caught it behind the line. The difference was only about two yards.

he can down an El Gordo and do a backflip without throwing up.
|10 weeks 2 days ago||Yep||
|10 weeks 3 days ago||I can't get my cat to not throw up on the carpet||
Color me impressed.
|10 weeks 4 days ago||I went to the game at Northwestern in 1992||
They already had Barnett but they still sucked. Michigan didn't bring very many cheerleaders, and they were doing the backflips from a standing position on the sidelines. Well, we scored a lot - 40 points. My quick calculation says they did a total of 173 backflips, spread among only 8-10 cheerleaders. They were pretty beat, having to help eachother get full rotation instead of crashing to the astroturf on their knees.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||You beat me to it, darn you||
Harold could take Special K's spot. Give Bill a coordinator job, he'll probably do as well as the ones we've had lately.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||Negative||
Would require changing color scheme to green and silver, which could get confusing.
|10 weeks 6 days ago||The long FG attempt||
A so-so kicker, on the road, with variable wind, against a team that lives to block kicks. I could see the future and it's not at all surprising that our coaching staff could not. Going for it would have given us a better chance to win.

Prove your worth by creating a case for Mike DeBord set to the tune of SYMBIONESE LIBERATION ARMY.
