At Alabama, his chances for INT's would be helped by Hand's pass rush.
At Michigan, his chances for INT's would be helped by Big Ten QB's.

"100% committed" seems to be misused more than the word "literally."

I mean, if Nick Saban can convince DaShawn Hand that Alabama has a better engineering program than Michigan, I'm sure Urban can convince McDowell that OSU has better defensive coaching than Michigan. Kids will believe anything these days.

I'm going to make a personal commitment to pretend, at least in my head, like football does not exist for the next 9 months (except for one day). There are supposedly other things to care about out there.

Pajamas seem to always be an easy one. Matching his-hers PJs are triple-good.

I would like to pretend I was making a snarky jab at the replay officials but I completely forgot about that. Still, putting the ball up 45 times, it is impressive Gardner did not throw a single INT.

I have two kids who are not quite old enough to play sports, but I hated the game. Probably because I was surrounded by easily the most obnoxious opposing fans I have ever seen personally (yes, even worse than those in the 2010 MSU game). Like the guy behind me who said, after EVERY Michigan TD, "they aren't gonna score again! their offense sucks! they just got lucky!" or the guy in front of me who complained about EVERY SINGLE SPOT, offense or defense. Or the guy three rows down who turned around every 15 minutes to yell 'O-H' or the guy standing in the aisle the whole game mocking every one of Michigan's cheers. I wouldn't have been a d-bag about it, but I was really hoping to get to experience the looks on their faces if we had won.

Who could have predicted earlier in the year that Michigan would not have had a single turnover in this game (2 point conversion plays don't count in the stats)?

I don't know man. I have to believe we could have gotten at least one more stop had James Ross been in the game. He is one of the few guys in our front seven that comes close to Miller's quickness.

|6 days 3 hours ago||If you read Brandon's||
If you read Brandon's statement I think it was obvious that Borges' job is anything but safe. I don't know if this changes his future with Michigan but I have been ambivalent to him since The Game. It would seem that there is something there in his gameplanning that may work if they can stabilize this offensive line (which, let's face it, has come a long way since the Nebraska game). OTOH, I am equally frustrated that he couldn't put a gameplan like this together when they played PSU, Nebraska, Iowa, MSU, Akron, UConn, etc. I am thinking I will still have a shred of optimism if they don't fire him, but much more if they do.
|6 days 4 hours ago||Actually, I kind of respect||
Actually, I kind of respect him for that. Is OSU really the #2 team in the country? Or are they there by default because the MSM views a missed 2-point conversion as the difference between #2 and being outside the top 10 (because you know how far they would have fallen had Gardner just thrown the ball two feet to the right)?
|6 days 4 hours ago||Most of our||
Most of our starters/upperclassmen on defense are not the same level of athlete that they were facing. Also OSU's offensive line is better (way better) than any we have faced this year, and our d-line is still young. They dominated the line of scrimmage. I actually was surprised how few opportunities our secondary gave them to make plays in the passing game.

I would not be the fan I am today if it weren't for MGoBlog. I know that sounds corny * Infiniti but my understanding of the game, the strategy, the players, coaches the AD- everything could be traced back to my reading of MGoBlog. This kind of information is not just readily available for anyone to find, but it has been put in a place that is accessible (and free) and presented in an entertaining way.
Thanks, Brian & co.

Wow I wish I had read that earlier. I'm glad (and not surprised) it was the other way around.
|6 days 22 hours ago||I was in section 39 and when||
I was in section 39 and when the game ended a minor skirmish broke out a few rows above me. I didn't see how it started but I did see a Michigan fan throw his cup of ice all over this older buckeye fan as he (the Mich fan) was being escorted out. The Buckeye fan had blood and cuts all over his face and the medical team came with the stretcher cart to tend to him. I wish I had seen the whole thing but I was kind of ashamed as it was our fan who clearly was being classless.

I really think this team has it in them to put up some points. I think Gardner has lost so much confidence and has been so afraid to turn the ball over for most of the year that he is eating the ball more and not going deep or going for the big play. If they can get him into the mindset that there is nothing to lose because at this point there really isn't- then we might have a chance to stick with them. OSU gives up a lot of big plays. They have had a hard time putting away very many teams that are average or better.

Wow. Great read. Whoever writes these things for Brandon does a good job but I think it could have been put more briefly: "Don't worry fans, Borges is gone, gone, gone!"

He seems like the best combination of quality and plausibility but the only problem is that he is in his first of a 3 year contract worth over $3 million. Would Michigan shell out that kind of buyout for an assistant? I would like to think so but no.
