Actually he is exactly right, which must be the first time ever. Strangely he's using the logic that all voters should use in that he's ranking teams based on how good they are and not what he thinks their record should be. In fact I would take that a step further and argue they would have lost 4 games with Michigan's schedule.

I would like to point out that Gallon, the optimum prototype of the Rodriguez offense, the type that no coach in our history aside from Rodriguez would have recruited, has produced the vast majority of his moving-up-the-all-time list numbers in the Al Borges offense. I think that is a nice slap in the face to those who said Rodriguez players were too small for Big Ten football. All I have to say to them is 'rabblerabblerabble'.

Facebook has been flooded with this graphic in the last few days and honestly I think it is a little misleading. If all of these coaches' salaries were subsidized by taxpayer dollars then I would have a problem with it, but the amount of revenue that most of them bring in to support their universities is far greater than their own salary.

Maybe this is ridiculous to say but the only team whose offense I think we will truly NEED him against is Ohio State. Every other offense in the Big Ten (plus Notre Same) is such a joke that I don't think it will matter much whether he's there, and I'm sure Beyer/ Gordon will hold up just fine against those other teams. So if we only get him 100% for OSU, the Big Ten championship and the Rose Bowl, I will be just fine with that.

That would be a question for Jim Delaney.

The reason it is so difficult for most teams to do it is because it is so hard to keep a team together. Trey and THJ coming back would eliminate the biggest barrier that prevents continuity of success. If anything one would argue this makes it even more likely because most teams with top talent lose everybody.

I think in order to use this kind of evidence to build any kind of an argument either way, you would have to take a random sample of NBA games and measure the number of incorrect calls, and then take a sample of "important" NBA games and measure the number of incorrect calls to determine if there is any correlation.

We all like to pile on Dinardo but it seems like his preseason evaluations have been pretty accurate. Another example: I remember in the 2009 August tour he had said he thought Michigan was a 5-7 team based on his observations. I was pissed because that was supposed to be the RR turnaround and I thought he was ignorant. Turned out he was spot on.

You know this season he was going to be a RS Junior? 2014 would be his 5th year, and you're talking about a 6th year in 2015.  I don't think the NCAA approves those very often, and they would have to go back and prove he was injured during his freshman season that held him out of the entire year.  So if they don't have medical records which suggest he not play football in 2010, they would have to commit fraud to produce evidence to the NCAA for something they may not even know is approved until well after 2013. 

Yeah, if he's ready I think I still would rather he just come back for the tail end of the season.

I have a lot of resentment towards Lloyd but there were significant rumors that he wanted to retire after the 2004 season, but BM talked him into staying, and the same thing happened after '06. Obviously Lloyd should have been the one to recognize that it was his time but it is not like he was a Joe Paterno situation where he needed to leave While his arrogance kept him around.

Yeah I usually prefer Murphy's. I live in Ann Arbor so Yuengling is not an option but I will try that next time I'm out east. I have no idea how true it is that EA is putting this much effort into making sure only "real" votes are being counted but I have to really wonder if several staff members working over time combing through thousands of votes is really cost effective here. Yes, the Facebook vote is nothing more than an interest generating promo but this has gone a little too far from a business perspective.  It is glaringly obvious which player would sell more games.  And one fanbase is guaranteed to be pissed off anyway, so why would you piss off the biggest one in the country?

My brother had told me about MGoBlog a few times and I was just like "yeah whatever" but at some point during the 2007 season I checked it out and thought it was cool but nothing special.  Then Brian got the leak that Lloyd was going to announce his retirement the day after the Ohio State game and I was like "yeah whatever" and Sam Webb got on his show and was like "yeah whatever" and then it happened and I was like "that was perty cool."
