If you don't mind my asking, how old are you?
I'm 32 and this 100% happened (save for the bullet shells) when I was growing up in Little League baseball.
It was essentially the masculine equivalent of "Toddlers & Tiaras" style beauty pageants where the has beens and never was beens live out their failed or distant fantasies through their little boys.

Norfleet by the way is still unfortunately touchdown-less in his career BUT he threw for one a couple weeks ago. Dual Fleet?
Your comment reminded me to go give his stats a look.

How widespread is this? Anywhere you find people.
This is not limited to FSU football players, football players in general, men, women, etc.
These are all the same power / control / entitlement issues that surface in physical assaults, rapes, online trolling, etc. due to the way we socialize people and the history of our society.
People in this thread will be happy to mention that "men should never hit a woman" but they'll accept a man attacking another man.
In my head, even the acceptance of man on man violence, is only going to teach the men who attack that physical violence is how you assert your power / control, etc. and asking them to show restrain against women is unlikely to yield in any meaningful behavior changes.

Get a life. At least WD is out there living his life and not just sitting on a forum shitting on others'.

My first reaction is surprise that an 8th grader may have never seen porn before in this day in age.
Is the problem that some 8th grade girl has seen girl on girl porn? That this girl is bisexual?
It's not clear to me where the crisis is.

To be fair, DISCUSS Man is a second rate poster and has been a joke of a poster for likely their entire existence on this blog.
So that may help explain the difference in tone between Narduzzi, Franklin, and the OP.

I wish you wouldn't post negative things about UM players, especially underclassmen on public forums.

Has anyone ever looked at Pelini's career on wikipedia?
His entire career has been spent working for about 8 different accomplished successful coaches. Even when he was on a high school staff it's for one of those known program sorts.
His pedegree is much more impressive than I would have guessed.

It makes sense that a 2011 hype video would use highlights from 2010.

there are other standards at michigan. i believe they contained within the "fergodsakes".

Keep the faith.

trey : spike :: stauskas : robinson
the complicating factor is the whole vague references to d1 offers he turned down.
i wish they would have named names.
i dont know how meaningful it is, we talking the likes of portland state and iupui or what?
|1 year 23 weeks ago||My guess....||
My guess is that 90 pct of Mgoblog users want to read or write about michigan football.
did you expect the team to receive a win for you visiting the site?

For me, I'm not purchasing HTTV this year because I think the blog has cannibalized the content that HTTV would normally contain.
With each year, the amount of new content on this blog has increased (as has my year round viewership of it) and by the time HTTV rolls around, I feel like it's predominately a printed (and repurposed) export of the blog with just a sprinkling of brand new ideas / pieces.
I should clarify that last year was the first time I had this feeling and this year will be the first time I'm not purchasing HTTV (won't stop me from dropping some coins into beveled guilt).
My father, who does not read MGOblog (or the internet in general) would be thrilled with HTTV as it truly does destory all other "preview" publications and he has no access to the content otherwise.
Just my thoughts. Niether team performance nor alleged bullying from Brian (or whatever the claims) play into my decision at all.

|1 year 40 weeks ago||My take||
I think the greater point being communicated by Colter and his specific movement is that, these kids are being recruited to attend an institution of higher learning and then are locked into strict contracts of their coaches exacting standards, which leaves them no choice but to compromise the very education they came for, lest they get their scholarship pulled. And they have absolutely no seat at the table or member representation with the NCAA or the schools themselves.
They seek to be represented.
Even above and beyond that is the millions of dollars everyone in charge of "looking out for the kids" is making in this rigged game. The kids should be able to organize and represent themselves.
Where do I draw the line? Today? Men's Football and Men's Basketball. Women's Basbetball might not be there yet and honestly, I don't know enough about other sports

I'm a whole lot less worried about a recruit reading BBrown's analysis of their interaction than I am a recruit reading the thousands of comments throwing our players, coaches, and administration under the bus, talking about pulling all support of the program, and the regular demands that we "fire e'rybody".
But that's just me, guy who thought we all learned something about public perception and showing a unified front of support for the program after the RR debacle..........
|2 years 10 weeks ago||I agree there is an issue and thought about this yesterday.....||
I agree that there is a bit of an issue with the quantity of content and how to best manage it all.
My thought is for some sort of personalization (dashboard?) that would show a listing of "unread" things, things that you've commented on that have replies, etc.

I couldn't believe I made it so far down this thread without anyone pointing out how insane that clip is. The timing on him popping up is better than anything that could even be scripted.
This clip is going to get chopped up and will be everywhere within a few days. Denard is making his rounds on the viral circuit lately.
Also yes, I now cheer for the Jaguars?

|2 years 38 weeks ago||I agree but that's not the point.....||
I agree that saying "don't rock the boat" is condoning bigotry but that was not the point of my post at all and if your Rosa Parks joke is at my expense then you missed my entire point.
There is a difference between making commentary on the current state of affairs and endorsing the status quo. My post makes no reference to reinforcing the current culture of bigotry in the NFL.
What my post is saying, is that because there is a culture of bigotry it would make sense that when gay players do start coming out, team chemistry may take a hit as the lockerrom could be split.
Personally, I welcome the day where people don't have to put up a front because a portion of our population can't identify or understand their experience and has to resort to fear and hatred.
