If Wisconsin wins big they should be in the playoffs over UM. 2 very tight losses, some big wins.

If you take overall record, then you'd have Bayloresque (or Washingtonesque) OOC schedules.

Was their offense injured? Fine maybe you can argue we don't score over 40 but they had 10 points. Can change that due to LBs.

Beating Colorado, even in an ugly, flukey game, will solidify their lead over us.
|4 days 6 hours ago||Lets look at wins: Michigan -||
Lets look at wins:
Michigan - top three wins - Wisconsin (#6) PSU (#8),and Colorado (#9) - one is OOC which helps
PSU - top three wins - OSU (#2), Iowa (#22) and Temple (haha)
Wisconsin - top three wins - LSU (#21), Iowa (#22) and Nebraska (#23)
Even adding a PSU/Wisco win to the other team doesn't make their wins better than ours although Wisconsin would get a fourth top 25 win (assuming nebraska stays ranked in the CFP). Plus we have the head-to-head against both of them.
Michigan - losses - at OSU (#2) and at Iowa (#22)
PSU - losses - at Michigan (#5) and at Pitt (#24)
Wisconsin - losses - vs OSU (#2) and at Michigan (#5)
Wisconsin losses are slightly better (or less worse) but they also have the only home loss amongst us.

For this purpose, the 15 was akin to the goal line. If the ball crossed the leading edge of the 15 when it was marked it is considered a first down. The marker was irrelevant which is why they didn't bother measuring.

No way Clemson stays in with a win. Louisville has been exposed as a fraud and Auburn just got trashed by Bama. I don't think Colorado or Penn State can jump us. We would all have two losses and we would own head to head (both blowouts) and have better wins.
If either Clemson or Washington lose, that opens the door for us.
|4 days 23 hours ago||Agreed. wisco might get in||
Agreed. wisco might get in over us but can't see a scenario that Penn State does. Wisconsin can point to the LSU win (even though it's a joke that they are still ranked). penn state lost their one decent OOC game and only has one good win.
|4 days 23 hours ago||But if you overweight them||
But if you overweight them then you get shitty OOC schedules since all you need to do is not lose. Washington has beaten one ranked team and lost to one. Hate to say it but that makes then much weaker than OSU who not only beat two top 10 big ten teams but another top 10 team OOC. Washington can strengthen their resume by beating Colorado but they would still arguably have a weaker resume than OSU.

If you are Texas and the option is lame duck season or eh hire, you pick lame duck season. The atmosphere there is poison so it's hard to get a no brainer at this point. They need a year to either confirm a reach or convince someone you can rally the troops

Hosting it. Turkey three ways. Spatchcocked, turkey pastrami and turkey leg/thighs sous vide. Tons of other sides and some fierce drinks.

And the 2nd one was utter bullshit as rugby punters lose the protection once they leave the tackle box. He took a good 3-4 steps and was clearly outside the tackles when he kicked the ball.

I can't find a reason that any one loss team would be considered above OSU. The quality of their wins are comparable to ours and their loss is better. And we are the clear second best one.

That is the right order. Shocked they did it right. Michigan and Clemsons resumes are so much stronger than Louisville.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||I really have a hard time||
I really have a hard time believing Louisville will be ranked 3. They have a whooping two wins against over .500 teams. I get the whole close loss against a top team but still believe you should be rewarded more for beating good teams than by losing to them.
The OPs rankings seem about right to me. Not only have Clemson beaten Louisville (and gotten at top 10 win by doing so), they also have 2 other top 25 wins. The strength of those wins should def. more than offset the worse loss. I think Michigan is even more to the extreme as their wins are better than clemson and the loss isn't as bad (at least we were on the road).
Wisconsin is an interesting case compared to Louisville. One additional loss but to another top 5 team. They do have the LSU and Neb wins although they are in the bottom part of the rankings
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Don't see any way Louisville||
Don't see any way Louisville is ahead of Clemson or Michigan. We have three wins that are better than any of their wins. Clemson is similar. Having the "best" loss shouldn't overrule much better wins.

Why do we suck at play calling against Iowa? That last possession was straight terrible play calling
|2 weeks 5 days ago||Louisville has no chance||
Louisville has no chance unless a lot of other teams fall. They are the weakest one loss team and the rest of their schedule isn't going to help them.

|3 weeks 2 days ago||Thanks for this. It just||
Thanks for this. It just shows you how name (or conference) recognition alone can get you rated. Its a crime FSU and LSU are still ranked. Yes, their losses have been good but that have beaten exactly zero good teams. I get not punishing a team too badly for losing to a top team but there has to be a limit. If you can't point to one good win and you have three losses, there should be no way in hell you are ranked.
FSU's best win is what, a 5-4 Miami team
LSU can point to their thrilling victory over a 5-4 Southern Miss team from Conf. USA as their best win
Arkansas has a 5-4 TCU team to promote.
Are those really teams that should be considered top 25 or top 20 for FSU?
|3 weeks 2 days ago||The fact that Arkansas and||
The fact that Arkansas and LSU fill out the back end of the CFP rankings is just more SEC circle jerks so Bama and Auburn can show more top 25 wins. Neither team has any approaching a good win. LSU's best win is a 4-5 Ole Miss team. Arkansas's best win is a 5-4 TCU team. Not sure how that gets you a spot in the top 25.
|3 weeks 5 days ago||Louisville should be behind||
Louisville should be behind OSU and maybe even Wisconsin. They have one good win and a whole lot of nothing else. OSU has a much stronger set of wins and their one loss is similar. Wisconsin has much better wins but one more loss against a top team.
