the just released schedules were a flat-out statement that the B10 doesn't believe SOS will matter in playoff selection

As a former Kansan, we are perhaps hicks, but we are not hillbillies. |
| 1 week 2 days ago | wow - credit to the softball team |
Having two-thirds of the All Big Ten team is a hell of an accomplishment. |

...the world greets this book with a collective yawn. I have a feeling Webber is going to air all the dirty Michigan laundry he ever heard of so he can say, "I was just part of a corrupt system." ..Also,what does Chris Webber have to contribute to anything at this point? He stopped thinking and wasted his intellectual potential years ago. He's a damn NBA announcer. Shouldn't he be talking about how awesome Lebron is? ...I realize this is really harsh, but I am really sick of Chris Webber haunting the program. He has a bunch of money and an easy life. And that's all he ever wanted as far as I can tell. Leave Michigan alone. |
| 1 week 3 days ago | Bennie and Biff |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biff,_the_Michigan_Wolverine From the link: The University of Michigan Athletic Department reports that Biff and Bennie “grew larger and more ferocious,” leading Yost to conclude, "It was obvious that the Michigan mascots had designs on the Michigan men toting them, and those designs were by no means friendly." |

That or a guy at the bus stop lied to me and owes me my $30 back. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Sad but true |
New Balance makes some sneakers in the U.S., but I don't know about basketball/football shoes. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Good point |
If he doesn't pick Michigan, I'll say, "Ah, we didn't want some mercenary kid who's just going to leave for the NBA as soon as he can anway." He he picks Michigan, I'll say, "Woo-hoo! Let's enjoy this while it lasts!" It's important to be adaptable. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | The NFL... |
...as fun as watching robots on an assembly line build a Honda. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | of course |
That was what threw me off. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | Gerry DiNardo |
He seems like a nice guy. That's the most I can say about his ideas for divisions and his understanding of the conference. As for Kevon Looney, can you imagine that kid playing the four in Coach Beilein's offense? I'm going to have to work hard not to think too much about it, as I don't want my hopes dashed if he goes elsewhere. |
| 2 weeks 2 days ago | I understand what you'res saying, but... |
...the NFL is remarkably strict about these things. They have someone at each game making sure that uniforms are w/in NFL guidelines. A player can be fined for having his socks too low, for example. |
| 2 weeks 3 days ago | I feel very lucky these days |
It's nice when prospective Michigan players are guys who you'd like no matter their team. Both football and MBB seem to recruit a lot of said dudes. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | Perhaps |
I asked my cat, but he withheld comment. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | Nice |
The team's depth needs to be re-stocked. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | The Collins thread |
I thought it mostly walked a fine line. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | I think... |
...this thread is likely to be political. |
| 2 weeks 4 days ago | Good for him |
I hope this is looked back on as a great day for sports. It should be...I wish him the best. |
| 2 weeks 5 days ago | OSU will be very tough, IMHO |
Ross and Thompson will help make up for the loss of Thomas, and they'll probably be better defensively than they were this year, b/c Thomas was their worst defender. |
| 2 weeks 5 days ago | Good |
We want the Big Ten to be strong. |
| 3 weeks 11 hours ago | agreed |
She was about a quarter of the way home to making a good point about about not sweeping on-the-ground issues under the rug with rebranding, but everything unraveled pretty badly when she associated a cartoon dog with sexual assault. I'm also not sure why the kid who was charged with tresspassing while on spring break needed to be mentioned. |
| 3 weeks 12 hours ago | right on |
I ordered a Negro to shine my boots the other day, and he got mad at me. Can you believe it?! |
| 3 weeks 21 hours ago | yeah |
It wouldn't have been my pick, but I don't think it was crazy either. I remember being impressed by him when watching a BYU game this past season. |
| 3 weeks 21 hours ago | Ansah |
I think the Lions fans on the board last night (I am not a Lions fan) were too down on Ansah. I'm usuall leery of of workout warrior types, but this kid just hasn't played a lot of football. I think there's more reason to think that he'll improve than there is for the typical good combine/bad stats guy. As for the Bengals, that offense needs weapons, so I think they were lucky to draft Eifert. |
| 3 weeks 22 hours ago | Goes back to Chad Henne |
Henne used to sometimes overthrow balls well over receivers' heads, especially in his soph. year. Someone (Brian?) would say that he was throwing to Tacopants, an 8-foot-tall (I think) receiver. I think Jason Avant was somehow worked into the joke too. EDIT: Beaten to the punch...Tacopants was eleven feet tall? I think we're getting a little carried away here. It's not like we're talking about Bill Brasky. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | watched some of his highlights earlier today |
He struck me as agile, highly skilled, and aggressive. He seems like much more than just a tall kid. He might be a terror in Coach Beilein's offense. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | I'm not a Lions fan |
Fwiw, I think you guys are too down on your pick. The guy hasn't played much football, and his best days may well be ahead of him. He also probably appreciates the hell out of this opportunity since he's from Ghana. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | Is it only the first round tonight? |
I've had so many problems with my zeppelin this week that I haven't had the chance to pay attention. |
| 3 weeks 1 day ago | The NFL Draft Twitter issue |
EDIT: Never mind. I, for one, welcome our new Twitter overlords. |

The MLK, Jr. ones, on the other hand... |
| 3 weeks 2 days ago | Exactly |
The capitalization is used the same way Oscar Wilde or William Blake would have used it. I thought that was obvious. |
