Baseball Road trip

On a whim and the promise of free tickets to Fenway, five guys who all met a U of M climbed into a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee limited and made stops for baseball games in Pittsburg, New York, Boston and DC.  That was one heck of a way to see four new stadiums.  In particular going to PNC the day after the Wings beat the Pens for the cup was really awesome. We've done a couple more baseball road trips since, but the one that started it all seems the best in retrospect.

All are worth trying!

Blimpie, Casey's, Knights and Fritas.  All are worth a try.  Casey's has the classic burger thing down.  Truly underrated place.  Fritas is super good too, just not your traditional burger.  You really can't go wrong with any of these unless your looking for a McD substitute.

Twini Peaks

Not A2 but I recommend heading to Twin Peaks Madison Heights.  The Manager Cory is a UM guy and they have the fight for a $20 cover, but you get a $5 rebate off whatever you'd like I beileve.

Battery Rig

Do you rig the batteries in parallel?  I've been considering this for my tailgate.

Old Requirements

Back when I was graduating from High School I was quite familiar with the State of Michigan requirements of the NCAA clearinghouse.  They were at that time, a 16 on the ACT (original scale... no idea what it is now) and "adequate" grades in 13 core classes.  The classes considered core were math, science, history, etc.  They removed gym and other classes that can sometimes pad the GPAs of athletes.  I also sort of remember that adequate was somewhat subjective but that may be because I went to a private school that had its own GPA scale.

Average Homeboy?

Haha is that the Average Homeboy Denny Blazin's lovechild?

Great Device

These things are awesome.  Like others have said the ability to get the feed from other games is really awesome.  I wish the stats showed more than just the leaders but maybe it will improve over time.  Getting the home radio feed is also something that I love.  I only wish that I could hear the broadcast of the halftime show even if the combination of Mark May's opinions and Lou Holtz's voice perforates my eardrums.  The replay system is not perfect but I'm sure there will be improvements.  When an official replay happens you get the replay 6 times in 7 different angles.  They really augment the viewing experience and make me feel like a better informed spectator.

Its just like if you didn't

Its just like if you didn't tie up your cleats.  Lord knows no one would ever be able to score a touchdown without the advantage of tied footwear.  Damn these apparel disadvantages!

Redshirt Rules I'm pretty sure that if a player is on the field for a single play in any game for the entire year they burn their redshirt. Unlike in basketball where there is a limit to the games one can play in, I believe it is one and done with football.
